Explain The 10 Virgins Parable

The parable of the 10 virgins applies to members of Christ's church (virgins = saints/holy). Approximately half will be ready and half (of Christ's Church) will not be ready when Jesus comes in his glory.

A man of God explained that in the parable, the wise virgins were prepared, and had brought their oil in their lamps with them. The foolish had not. They did not adequately prepare for this great event. The wise virgins told the foolish to go to the market and buy oil for themselves, they weren't going to share.

Seven Year Mormon Food Storage

Too many Mormons, as well as gentiles, do NOT have a 1 year or even a 6-month supply of food! Two or three years ago, several anchors, including Brokaw, maybe Peter Jennings and one or two others were talking about the importance of having provisions on hand, in case of calamity (hurricane, war, avian flu, etc). One of them said he was starting to gather some stuff together. We could get prepared, and be selfish towards God, and trust in our own stuff. Like the parable of the rich man, that won't work. But if Noah hadn't built an ark, or if Joseph hadn't helped the Egyptians gather food in times of plenty, they would have sunk and starved respectively!

Are There Prophets Today

If God spoke to prophets anciently in open vision, by dreams, clearly and understandably, why not today? The 2 prophets will be two men who will have the sealing power of Elijah, to be able to seal the heavens. This power, this priesthood, like Peter, James and John on the Mount of Transfiguration, must receive it from Elijah. He held this power in his lifetime, and was carried away in a chariot to heaven so he could restore this Godly power before the resurrection. God will work his miracle, though the nations of the earth gather together against the Jews.
