Seven Year Mormon Food Storage

"Storing up food doesn't make you more spiritual. Some here are lifting up Mormonism as superior to Christianity because of this practice. God has not instructed us to store up food, therefore its not an issue of obedience." by Laurie

Did the Mormons say they were more spiritual? I missed it. God expects us to be self reliant - being prepared is smart. I don't think it's a matter of obedience - I think it's just good advice. Laurie you sound bitter.

Date Once Divorced

There is a man that got married just for citizenship papers, legally married. Then, he became Christian. Time passed and felt in love with a Christian lady. He got divorced and then married the Christian lady. Today God uses him in prophesying, healing, and preaching the Word of God. Might we condemn him? If God, knowing his past and present life, uses him for his kingdom, I would ever say that he is a sinner neither he would not go to heaven.

Sin Gender Change A Sin

Since I'm not sure that gender roles are innate (I doubt they are since they have varied throughout history and even vary across cultures), I'm not entirely convinced that a person changing their genitalia is sinful. Gender roles are to some extent arbitrary and not mandated by God.

Sin Gender Change A Sin

When a person changes their physical sex, I think they are doing that partly because society will only allow them to completely identify with a gender role that "matches" their physical sex, i.e, I can live as a man if I have male genitalia.

Do Christians Need To Marry

Interesting topic because I had the same question myself. Or rather, it was more along the lines of, "If two people have a wedding ceremony and make the public declaration to the friends, family and God to be committed, then why do people say they aren't really married if they don't have a license?"

The posts on this blog really helped with my own exploration of this.
