Works Needed For Salvation

We must do the "works of God" by simply trusting that what Jesus did is completely sufficient so that every human being can have salvation available to them. If we set a foundation of our own by performing 'deeds' of our own (self effort), then repentance IN CHRIST becomes impossible (Hebrews chapter 6). The Lord's judgement of this "apostasy" will be JUST and will not be overlooked. Do the "works of God" (John 6:28 and 29).

Works Needed For Salvation

No matter how undeserving we feel about what Jesus did for us, we must trust/believe that... 1) it was a gift (real "gifts" do not have to be repaid). 2) since it was done by God, we couldn't do anything to match that deed anyway. 3) what He did is completely sufficient for the salvation of everyone on earth (Luke 3:6). Having a peaceful spirit is the "guarantee" of our inheritance (2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5, Ephesians 1:14).

Is Word Of Faith Doctrine False

Summed up, "Name it and Claim it" is 'USING God to get what you want' as though He is a magic wand or Alladin's lamp. God can and will provide very graciously whatever we want (because we're not content with what He has already given, we are ingrates), but we also have the choice to be content with what He decides we NEED (His grace is sufficient for me). It is THEN that we do the works of God and rest in Him (John 6:28).

Are We Saved By Grace
	The word "grace" means that God GIVES graciously/generously (definition of "grace" is often misunderstood). God graciously provided humanity with the "lamb of God" (Jesus).

Faith In Terrible Times
	MANY people will fall away as the economic crisis gets worse because they only have FAITH and base their devotion on FAITH, but people who base their relationship on LOVE for God will remain strong in their devotion (the book of Job is a historically true LOVE story). "the GREATEST" (1 Corinthians 13:13). "more excellent" devotion (1 Corinthians 12:31).

Why Is Faith So Important

Chad, Seeking truth requires asking the right question. God did not "invent" faith (nobody INVENTED faith). "Faith" means to either... 1) believe that something exists. 2) or believe/trust in the qualities/character of something. (two kinds of faith). Romans 1:17 "faith FOR faith"...RSV. Our trust/faith in The Lord should be borne out of LOVE for God. I also have faith in the laws of physics, but I don't love them.

	Mankind has always replaced the 3 gracious gifts of God... 1) creation (Father) 2) salvation (Son) 3) Godliness teaching (God's spirit) with it's own teachings (the teachings of the 6th day creation...666). ...but "God is ONE" Galatians 3:20. The WHOLE fullness of God is in Jesus (Colossians 2:9).

The biggest challenge for the true church (BODY OF CHRIST,...all true believers) today is learning to have a passion for OBJECTIVE TRUTH ("...AND SO BE SAVED", 2 Thessalonians 2:10) in order to overcome the "STRONG delusion" that has been around all throughout history so we can "walk by THE SPIRIT", NOT FAITH (Galatians 5:16 and 25) and learn the "sword of THE SPIRIT (Ephesians 6:17) and have our conscience purified ALSO (Hebrews 9:14).

In the "last days", Jesus will POUR out His SPIRIT (Acts 2:17) with "rivers of living water" (John 7:38, Rev. 7:16) and receive living 'water baptism' of His SPIRIT (the GUARANTEE, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5, Ephesians 1:14). We must "walk by the SPIRIT" (not "faith", Galatians 5:16 and 25) and learn the "sword of the SPIRIT", Ephesians 6:17) in order to have a "more excellent"devotion/relationship (1 Corinthians 12:31).
