| What Is Reprobate Mind | |
Thank you donna66 and bruceb for your insights on "REPROBATE". I checked out your references and they all seem sound. You have saved me from going down a wrong path. Apocatastasis I also checked with a modern day refiner of silver. He told me that after the refining process "by fire" ,which is so complete, that which is left over cannot be refined again. It is discarded as worthless. Reprobate Silver. May Christ be formed in us before our souls receive their dismission from this body. For as the tree falls so shall it lie and no matter how much of heaven's rain falls on a field of tares it will never become wheat.

If "dokimos" is translated into English as "Approved", why is "adokimos" translated as "reprobate" instead of "Disapproved"? Is there a reason the translators used this construction? "RE + PROBATE" Since "Nous"(Reason/Mind)is the supposed ruler of "Psyche" (Soul) and one of the three distinct parts of the soul is it not proper to, by extension, refer to reprobate nous as reprobate soul?

Reprobate Mind RE + PROBATE "Psyche" "AGAIN" + "PROBATION" "Soul" To place a soul on probation again so that it may be proven. Not rejection but a second chance Reprobate is the opposite of elect.
