Neglecting My Husband

If you love the man, pray that he gets his rest. Support him. After you have asked God to help, Satan will attack you with any old habits. Rebuke him and declare that you are past that milestone...all in the Blessed Name of Jesus..!! Getting angry is caused by that. Try this one: Every time as soon you feel anger comming up inside, you say: "Thank you Jesus, you are in my heart". That devil will leave you forever! Try it, it works!!

Why Are There So Many Churches

Like the religious leaders of Jesus' day, most people don't want to abandon their own doctrines, read God's Word exactly as written, and go to God only on His terms. Many people just want something to believe. But God has magnified His Word above all His Name (Psalm 138:2). He didn't do that with our opinions. Read 1 Cor. 1:10-3:23 for God's opinion of the envy, strife, and division that lead to denominations. God bless you! Write me. jeffr5976 :)

An older, country fellow went to the city for the first time in his life with his wife and son. While she was shopping, he and his son saw a dumpy, old gal go into a little room. The doors shut and numbers above the doors lit up one by one. After a few minutes, the doors opened and out walked the most beautiful woman the fellow had ever seen! God Alone Exists Truly
	Sounds like an ancient Bhuddist philosophy. Where does it say that in the Word of God? Jeremiah 2:13: For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, {and} hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

God Blessing Are Spiritual

Of course I disagree! If all of God's blessings were spiritual, not physical or material, then why did God favor ancient Israel; why did He take them out of slavery and give them land; why did Jesus and other men of God heal people; and why does God want us to prosper and be in health (3 John 2)? I agree that God is no respecter of persons, even if they have more stuff, but I know of no scripture that says "God is not partial".

Please allow me to explain why Calvin was correct. 1) Ephesians 1:5. Explains quite clearly that we were CHOSEN prior to creation of earth. 2) John 10:28. Explains that no one can snatch us from Jesus' hand. This is a promise from God. 3) 2 Peter 1:10 This means that we are "elect" and "called" by God. 4) Romans 11:6 Explains grace, not works, saves us. The words cannot mean actions = salvation; actions represent thanksgiving.

	Since the Bible, as originally written, is God's Word and since God can't lie, correct doctrine must fit with every part of the original scripture. How does the phrase, "the God of our Lord Jesus Christ" from Ephesians 1:17 fit with your doctrine?

7. By the way, it's not that we can't believe in Jesus without the grace of God; it's that without the grace of God, there would be no Jesus to believe in! We can believe anything we want! We can believe a pickle will get us to heaven, but it's not true. Without the grace of God, Jesus would not have come to redeem us and we would die in our sins with no possible way to have everlasting life, no matter what we believed!

4. 2 Cor 1:22: Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Notice our holy spirit is an earnest, which is a token. An earnest is something that's given to represent a performance of something greater, like when you submit an offer on a house, you put earnest money with it. And if the offer is accepted, you're going to pay much more. Our holy spirit is an earnest because there's something greater. If it were God, how could there be anything greater?

3. 1 Cor 14:32: And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. Notice the spirit God gave us is subject to us, but God is not. Eph 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Eph 4:24: And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Notice He created the new man which is part of us. That's His gift, our holy spirit.

Many people don't know the difference between soul and spirit. Before God gave us His gift of holy spirit, we were only body and soul; we had no spirit. Many people also mix up the Giver and His gift. God, who is The Holy Spirit, can dwell within us because of His Gift of holy spirit.

1. Tina, 'sub-Christian'? Aren't we a bit quick to condemn? But since you obviously researched the subject thoroughly before answering, perhaps you can tell me where I've misunderstood God's Word. God is Holy (Lev 19:2;20:26) and God is Spirit (John 4:24), but God gave us a gift, which is also holy spirit. Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

2. Now, if you're saying we weren't able to always choose to do good before being born again, I'll agree, because we had Adam's sin nature from birth. And neither are we yet able! But, because of Jesus' sacrifice, our choice was and is not to do good or evil, but to believe God or not. And man has always been able to believe anything he wants to as evidenced by the variety of opinions here and elsewhere. Just as Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness, so do we.

1. Tina, Daphne, free will has nothing to do with making a choice 'for the good' or a 'right choice'; only with making a choice. Before being born again, we were enemies of God, by our choice. That's free will. But then, while still enemies and unsaved, we chose to confess that Jesus is our lord and believe that God raised him from the dead. The moment we made that choice, God created holy spirit within us. Then, and not until then, God made us righteous and we quit being God's enemies.

Having made choices all our lives, it's abundantly obvious that we have free will before being born again. And the Bible makes that clear with all God's laws and commandments. What would be the point of them if we had no choice in the matter? What God has done is made something available that we could never make available for ourselves. And, although He didn't make us choose one thing or another, He knew before the foundation of the world who would choose what. And He just planned accordingly.
