Pastors Teach Tithing

Pastors say that titheing came before the law was given. Circumcision came before the law was given but they never mention that. Pastors who teach the law of giving 10 percent know that they will have more than enought money to support their church if they can squeeze 10 percent out of the congregation. Why can't they trust in God to supply all their church needs, they sure ask us to trust in God to supply all our needs. I have also heard that 10 percent of the congregations normally give 90 percent of the offerings. The other 90 percent give what they can. The curse of the law condemns those who don't give 10 percent unless they understand new covenant grace giving. Where God guides God provides!

Must Gospel Be Preached To All

Romans 16:25:26 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith. Sounds like Paul thought he and the disciples made the gospel known to all nations.

Healed Us By His Stripes

Darlene 1, thanks for your input. Psalm 89:32 Then I will visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strips. Going astray and turning to one's own way concerns sin not physical sickness. Those Christians who never get healed (including myself) wonder why. And also, if God's children under the grace covenant all receive the same inheritance, why would God heal a few and leave many unhealed. God does treat all His children with the same lovingkindness doesn't He.

Why Do You Believe In God

Because nothing else in this world could give a wretched sinner like me a Savior who imputed His righteousness to me, a Holy Spirit to help and teach me how to be a child of God, and the gospel of good news which shows me what God the Father expects from His children. Only God could deliver me from the sinful lifestyle I led and change my heart, mind, and priorities. I've met many Christians with the same testimony. I also see God's splendor and glory every day in His beautiful creations.

How To Be Close With Jesus
	Galatians 5:24,25 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. If you live by and walk in the fruits of the Holy Spirit you will be close to Jesus and the Father.

What Are You Thankful For

I can't list them all but I will share some of them. God's amazing and saving grace. His forgiveness of my sins, my Savior Jesus, my comfortor the Holy Spirit, His precious Word and promises. The joy and peace every day. For saving and changing my life. For changing my heart, my mind, and priorities. I thank Him for our relationship and for watching over me 24/7. For showing me what love means and how to be gentle and kind to others. For allowing me to become one of His children and writing my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. For eternal salvation and security, much much more! Thank you God for your lovingkindness and throne of grace.

Why Are Pastors Having Affairs

I live in a small town. One pastor left his family and moved in with another woman. One is having an affair and filed for a divorce. One was caught having an affair with his secretary. I've met others that you couldn't hardly get them into the Word. I am friends with some of those who attend their churches and you never hear any of them mention anything about God or Jesus let alone the scriptures. A prominent pastor at a Baptist pastors convention taught that only those individuals called by God and annointed with the Holy Spirit can preach Spirit filled sermons. They walk in the Spirit not in the flesh. Maybe those pastors who fall into sexual sin are just ordinary men in the flesh.

Thoughts On Jakes And Hinn

I suppose the only thing that we don't get freely from God under the covenant of grace is money. When a Christian does everything they are told to do to receive financial blessings from God and don't receive them they hear the following excuses: did you tithe off the gross? Did you write God the first check? Maybe you have hidden sin? Maybe you have unconfessed sin. Oh ye of little faith? Do you have any unforgiveness in your heart? etc... Same excuses for healing. Prosperity and healing ministries use the same excuses to inflict guilt, condemnation, confusion, etc.. but they never refund your offering.

Is God Alive Today

1 Corinthians 2:10-12 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God. John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak, and He will disclose to you what is to come. God speaks to me through the Spirit, giving me wisdom to make Godly decisions.

Claim You Are Christian

Sandra, I agree with you. 2 Timothy 2:24 And the Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged. 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. The power is in God's Word. Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Does God Restore Your Virginity

If you meet a man that is not willing to let your past be in the past than he is not a "good Christian man" and is still a babe himself, not examining his own sins. Pray for him and move on because that attitude would give you problems in the future anyway. God restores and cleanses you to be white as snow, Virgin Snow! I think most people struggle more with forgiving themselves for their past than they do with God restoring them. When you come to Christ, you are a new creature, that old person no longer exists. They are dead and buried along with their sinful deeds. Go forth and enjoy your new life!

I'm In A Supressed Marriage

God doesn't want us to stay in an abusive relationship and He also doesn't want us to be divorced. You don't have to stay and you don't have to get divorced either. You can live separately while you both work and pray things out. No dating or remarriage. I don't know why people think they must automatically get divorced. If I were in an abusive relationship I would remove myself after pointing out that I will return as soon as the other party agrees to go with me for counseling. I will do everything in my power to work with them and myself. If they choose to not seek counsel and file for divorce instead, than so be it, but I will not.

Rapture Happening In My Life

God is the only one who knows the date of the rapture. Romans 11:25,26 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles has come in, and thus all Israel will be saved, just as it is written. A prominent pastor once shared that every time he gave an alter call he was prepared for the rapture. He believed God set a quota on a certain number of saved Gentiles and when the last one was saved, the rapture would take place. Personally I have no opinion. I just want to be ready!

Women Teaching In Church
	Must be ok, we have several women pastors in our area.

What Is A Worldly Christian
	Could be those who satisfy their fleshly desires and live in accordance with the ways of the world except for the time they devote to going to church on Sunday.

For Many Are Called

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Ephesians 1:4,5 He chose us in Him and predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation. Acts 13:48 and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. John the Baptist, Jesus, the disciples, and pastors/teachers have been calling many and many still come forth at altar calls today, but the ones truly born again are the ones who become the chosen and the elect.

Does God Change

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law to perform them. Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 7:6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. Hebrews 10:9 then He said, "BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO THY WILL." He takes away the first in order to establish the second.
