Friend Becoming A Mormon

I have lived in Southern Utah among mormons for almost 20 years. I do not believe in their theology, but most of them have been great neighbors. I was just reading Benjamin Franklin's autobiography again and ran across a section today where he talks briefly about his religious experience with Presbyterianism. In talking about that and about christian religion in general, I noticed his comments about how he had learned to not attack another's religious views. Interesting to note that both he and George Washington also made statements about the benefits that they saw from people with religious beliefs and wanted to allow people to have freedom to worship as they liked.

Who is Myles Munroe?

Apparently, many of you who don't agree with what Dr. Monroe is teaching have not heard the entirety of his message. It is the exact same message that JESUS CHRIST preached, and nothing different. This message set me free from 21 years of being a religious Christian. Thank GOD, i no longer possess that Christian judgmental mindset. I was a Christian for 21 plus years, and now I am glad to call myself a citizen of the kingdom. Its liberating!!!! Ask the HOLY SPIRIT for guidance, hunger and thirst for knowledge and understanding and you will find the truth. Myles Munroe, expounds on the word of GOD like no other, and has clarified thousands of misconceptions in GOD's word. He is INDEED a blessing to this generation and generations to come!

Who Are Christadelphians

I was a religious journey-man for some many years. I've visited a number of churches, and been convicted of belief in a number of those. Each is different, they all have their own little quirks. But there was no one quite like the Christadelphians. That's why I joined them as a permanent member.Its sad to see "Christians" slagging off other people who hold conviction in a faith. Remember my fellow bretheren, there are 500 different versions of "Christian" belief.

Who Are Christadelphians

Of all the posts on this page, only two states facts. Those are the posts where beliefs have been copied from pages. Its not right to translate the meanings of faith without fully seeking it out. That is why our Lord tell us to "Seek the Truth". Christ doesn't want us ganging up on other churches. And he doesn't want us just listening to the words of a priest. He wants us to find out what we truly believe to be the truth.

And if you have a need to look at other "faiths", feel free. But don't assume to know and understand beliefs until you have truly looked into them.You will be surprised at what you find. Take it from me - i was a member of a number of churches all of which were accepted by "The World Council of Churches" (an institute set-up by men I must add) for 9 years. Why would I choose to change to a group of believers who are branded by the same - group of men - as a cult?

	Mormons are a cult. 4 "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him]..."2 Corinthians 11:4

	I think these "ecards" are great. I see how they can be used as an evangelistic tool. Maybe ChristiaNet should change the name to "etract" since many tracts are "in your face" to provoke one to think about the topic. With this many different "gospels" no wonder Christians can not agree on anything!

	Darlene..No one in the Old Testament was containted the Holy Spirit (Jesus had not placed his blood at the altar in Heaven yet). They were guided by the Holy Spirit, and Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit when he came (it descended on him like a dove), but nobody received the Holy Spirit until Jesus breathed on them in John 20.

The Holy Spirit indwells in every believer at the time they are born again (and saved). The disciples received the Holy Spirit when Jesus breathed on them right after he was resurrected. In the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit came down on the disciples and "filled" them, and gave them power for witnessing. This is referred to as the infilling of the Holy Spirit, or baptism of the Holy Spirit. Those who receive this second infilling today are referred to as "spirit filled".
