How To Properly Spank My Kids

I have three boys who are older than yours. But I DID paddle their bare butts with a small paddle when they were younger. I found it to be quite effective. No more than three or four swats.

Sin Not To Go To Church

First, why do we attend church?
For worship? Fellowship? God's Word? These are all things we need, but shouldn't they be a part of our everday life? Not just Sundays.

Did God Give Moses The Law

To Thomas,
I myself am wondering the same question (about Moses and the Law) as you are. It does appear that Moses himself (rather than God "through" him) "permitted" that action. Jesus' statements in both Matthew 19:8 and Mark 10:5 are in agreement.

The question is: What does the Jesus mean by "permitted" and how does that fit in with the transcription of God's intended Law?

Since this is a question I myself am wrestling with, I do not have an answer. I will check back to this site sometime in the future to see if anyone has come up with one.

Is Remarriage Adultery

The Church now accepts the things that God hates. Malachi says "God hates divorce". Matthew, Mark, Luke, Romans, & 1 Corinthians tells us what adultery is and the people refuse to listen. Luke 16:16 says that from the times of the prophets, the kingdom of God is preached and men are "pressing" into it, then Jesus says that not one tittle of the law will fail. With so many pressing into His Kingdom they are ignoring His Word. Then after that Jesus responds to Divorce and Remarriage with no exception clause.

Will A Degree Help My Career

I hope a degree will help your career or it's a waste of your time.

Is It OK To Marry A Catholic

I do not think that you should avoid marriage strictly because you are Protestant and your boyfriend is Catholic. My grandfather is a Catholic and my grandmother is Lutheran, and they have gotten along perfectly. They compromise and have each taught the other a great deal. I think you would be brave to pursue this because Christianity needs Catholics and Protestants to start putting aside their differences and move toward Christ.

Is Obama Muslim

Obama IS NOT a Muslim, never has been. If he were I don't think he would have stood at the debate last night and repeat for the millionth time that he has worshipped at the same church for 20 years and goes there to praise his Lord Jesus--(his words). Ever hear any of the other candidates say those words? Unfortunate that you feel you have to spread these lies Mike.

Online Marriage Tips

To keep your marriage strong, you should have a date night each week with your mate regardless of how busy you are. Spending time with your mate is important.

How Do You Deal With Temptation

I once heard of a man that quit smoking. A friend came to visit and spied a package of cigarettes lying on his coffee table.

"Oh, that's just to remind the devil that I can resist any temptation," the man said.

Trouble brewing!

Salvation Or Baptism First

Why not let the Bible answer? Mark 16:15,16, "He that BELIEVETH and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED.........." God said it, I believe it, end of story.

What Is Predestination

Ed, I don't get it when you say I believe I am perfect. How can I believe that? I believe God is perfect, Savior and Lord. And how can you connect self-righteous with predestination? I realize you put down passages about what Jesus tells us to do, but you have to remember He is talking to people that are saved already. God expects us to act and perform His duties but only the save perform them. The unsaved, don't listen to God, don't believe the bible, many don't believe that there is a Christ.

What Is Predestination

2. You have to tell the difference between the one's saved and the one's that are not. The reason I think you say what you say is because you speak as though you don't believe in being born again. If you did, you would be able to tell that the word of God is for the believer to learn about God, it is for the unbeliever to bring him to Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and when you read what Christ is saying you think it pertains to everyone.

What Is Predestination

3. Every men posses many admirable qualities, and perform great acts, but in the spiritual realm, when judged by God's standards, the unsaved sinner is incapable of good. The natural man is enslaved to sin; he is a child of Satan, rebellious toward God, blind to truth, corrupt, and unable to save himself or to prepare himself for salvation. In short, the unregenerate man is dead in sin, and his will is enslaved to his evil nature.

What Is Predestination

4. In short, he has to be born again, before he begins to do godly deeds, or have the love of Christ in him to do those goods. In all respect, Christ lives in him and motivates him while the Spirit brings light to Scripture so that he can understand. But he has to be born again. If while lost he does admiral deeds, they are for himself, and not for Christ, or because Christ motivated him, so they are sinful since they don't include Christ.

Is Salvation A Process

Salvation begins when you are brought to life by the Holy Spirit, and given the ability to repent and come to know the truth and believe through the gift of faith. With that awakening of life by the Spirit, you will see your sins against God, and you will repent. 'Faith comes from hearing God's word, and hearing comes from the Lord.

What Is Predestination

Ed, thanks for getting what I said right. Concerning salvation, it is true we do not earn anything. It is all by grace. The commandments given to love is His example to us of Himself, since His nature is love, and if we have that Love,(Christ), which can be found only through Him, then we are motivated by His love. If we don't have that Love, (Christ) we are motivated by our own needs and desires, which do not derive from Christ.
