It will be exceptionally clear that Harold Camping was wrong when the year 2012 arrives. One good thing about this particular doctrine is that all we have to do is wait, and we will see that Harold Camping is wrong. All of the other heresies of Camping can be defended by constantly twisting and isolating scriptures. All we have to do is wait to see that he is wrong, and at that time we will see all of the spiritual damage he has done to his listeners. His listeners are told not to go to any church or listen to any other christian ministry, so when 2011 passes, and Mr Camping passes on, where will Family Radio listeners be? They will be isolated and confused, thankfully we have the internet, to reach out to these people. Jim B.

I never suggested that my opinion was the Word of God, and put my opinion in parenthesis to make it clear that it was my opinion. Harold Camping's opinion is also not the Word of God. For example: Harold Camping says he knows the day that the Lord will return on Sep 21, 2011. Jesus himself says: Mark 13:33 "Take heed, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time is" Who are you following Harold Camping or Jesus Christ? When God says that day will not overtake us as a thief, it is not saying we know the exact day, it means that we will not spend eternity in Hell, we will go to Heaven if we are always ready to die, or ready whenever Christ returns. We are saved from eternal punishment, NOT annihilation. Matthew 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels". Matthew 25:46 "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal. life". Is there any way to TWIST these verses? Harold Camping taught for almost 50 years, extreme Hell and Damnation, and condemned the Churches for being watered down, and not preaching enough Hell!!! Then around November 2007, he started teaching the HERESY of Annihilation like the Jehovah's Witnesses!!!!! Most followers of Harold Camping also believe this heresy now!!!!!! JimB

Augustine, When I put my own words after Matthew 25, I was simply adding my own closing thoughts, I was not implying that it was part of the Bible. I am not embarassed by the cult I was in. I openly admit that it was wrong, and I am trying to use my mistakes to help others, like you. Harold Camping today is a cult leader, and if you listen to him and agree with ALL of his heresies, than you are also following a cult like I was. Camping's heresies include 1) Annihilation of the Devil and unbelievers (which the Jehovah's Witnesses believe also) 2) "ALL churches in the world are of Satan" 3) The world will end in 2011 4) "Hope" you are saved 5) and many, many other heresies God Bless, Jim B.

Augustine, You say that I am bitter, and therefore you can disregard all of the verses I bring up. Mark 13:33 Take heed, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time is. Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Acts 1:7 And He said to them, It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. Please tell us what these verses mean, if you don't address these verses, you are admitting you don't know how to twist them to get around them, and therefore you are in trouble with GOD ALMIGHTY Jim B.

Augustine said he did not see any reference to knowledge of time in Mark 13:32. I guess he never read the verses immediately after... Mark13:33 Take heed, watch and pray, for you do **NOT KNOW WHEN THE TIME** is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do **NOT KNOW WHEN*** the master of the house is coming in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! Some people trust Mr Camping as their final authority, and do not trust the Bible and Jesus' clear words. JimB

Matthew 25:(1) Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish .... (6) And at midnight a cry was heard: Behold, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him! (NOTICE THE WISE DID NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHEN THE BRIDEGROOM WAS COMING, BUT THEY WERE READY, THEY DID KNOW HE WAS COMING SOON) (7) Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps .... (13) Watch therefore, for YOU (WISE AND UNWISE) know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Augustine: Please address these words of the Lord Jesus Christ!!!! God Bless, JimB

Campingites keep quoting the verse "OF that day and hour, knows no man" and they say "of" mean about how bad it is, and they say that NOAH knew when the flood was coming, and the unsaved did not know. Here are verses that say that BELIEVERS do NOT know the exact TIME when THEIR LORD will return. Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore, for YOU (BELIEVERS) do not know what hour YOUR LORD is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour YOU (BELIEVERS) do not expect. We can die any second, and we must always be ready to meet God. JimB

Another person's experience from departout blog site: "The Horrors and calamity in my life has been caused by the teaching of Harold Camping. My family was deeply ingrained into his 'Reformed Bible Church' for decades. Imagine being told as an 8 year old in 1978 that the final tribulation is going to start in days and no one will be saved for 7 years and if we weren't raptured then we will go to hell. Well 1978 came and went then his story changed to "It's a spiritual Tribulation and 1985 was the end". About 1982, Those in the church were told He has to rethink and study. So for a few years he refused to talk about the end until 1992. He told his church that September 6th 1994 was the end." God Bless, Jim B.

To answer your question Augustine: If God opened my eyes during the Days of Noah or Jonah, then I would have taken heed to what they said. If He did not open my eyes then I would not have listened to them. Harold Camping is a false prophet, and God needs to open our eyes so we do NOT listen to him. Camping is also a false teacher who teaches the heresy of Annihilation like the Jehovah's Witnesses and other cults. Camping is also wrong about ALL churches are apostate. Most churches are apostate, but not ALL. Harold Camping is self-decieved and thinks he is the only one with the truth on planet earth. The only requirement for Salvation is that we have Christ as our saviour. When the world ends has nothing to do with salvation. Jim B.

Augustine, So since Mr Camping now is 100% sure that the world will end in 2011, will you admit that he is a false prophet when the world does NOT end. I am 100% sure that the world will reach the year 2012. I base my prediction on the fact that the tribulation period leading up to the end, will be like no other period since the foundation of the world, and we have not seen that yet. Also there are prophecies such as Ezekiel 38 that have not been fulfilled yet, but of course Mr Camping will spiritualize this passage, so he will not agree that there are prophecies concerning a middle east conflict. I do believe we may be close to the end, but the world will reach the year 2012. God Bless, Jim B.

The group I was in was formed in the mid 1980s, and after the failed 1994 prediction by Mr Camping, it has been breaking up. Some former members do not talk about God anymore, some have recently contacted me over 21 years after I had left, and finally realized that they were deceived and are seeking the truth. Some will not go to a church, some will. After 2011 passes, many listeners to Harold Camping will have a similiar fate. Harold Camping is a dangerous cult leader and false prophet who will lead you down the path of spiritual destruction. If you listen to him for hours everyday you will become brain washed, with some truth, some partial truth, and some heresies such as annihilation of unbelievers and the devil. God Bless, Jim B.
