alan- Only you would bring up that kilt thing again. Decent men know there's more to wear than just a kilt. This culture in the USA is trying to go down the drain fast. Some of them believe in hugs and kisses for everybody & some don't. That's not the main problem, though. alan- Truly, I am glad we are all different also. Some are open to the calling of the Holy Spirit and some are not. The song Healing Rain mentions Jesus by name, also Son of Man & His cleansing the leper, and the Great I Am. Please enlighten me. I am unfamiliar with Bruckner, Strauss and Wagner and their connection with praising the Lord in song or music. What are the names of some of their religious strains of violin, harp & viol, that I, too, may be spiritually uplifted by their melodious noise made unto the Lord? SWAK not. Christians also celebrate the resurrection of Jesus when He rose from the dead. So we are celebrating His life when we celebrate Christmas and Easter. obewan- As many people have already stated, the actual birthdate of Jesus Christ is not what Christians seek to honor. We seek to honor Jesus Christ who came to earth to be born through a virgin, preach the kingdom of God, teach man God's will, and to die for the sins of mankind. After all Jesus did for us, He deserves the worldwide attention He gets at Christmas and Easter.
Some say July 2 should have been independence Day, because it was the date Congress voted for independence. John Adams noted in his writings that July 2 would be remembered in the annals of American history, and be marked with fireworks and celebrations. The document wasn't signed until August 2. |

atheist (10-14)- Where do you think the first man came from? If you think he evolved from something, where did that something come from? Why is there day and night instead of all dark or all light all the time? Where did the soil come from? Where did the water come from? Where did the various colors in the world come from? I've seen little maple tree seeds that are encased in something with a little wing on it. The wind blows the maple seeds hither & yon so they all won't fall in the same place, and maple trees will grow in other locations. That seems planned to me. |

Mary- When a song is annointed by the Holy Ghost, the song draws forth a longing for God and His forgiveness in some sinners & they are ready for a change of heart. In any case, the song makes a person feel the presence of God, sinner or not. It's as if the Holy Spirit is beckoning you. There's a clip of "Healing Rain" by Jacque DeShelter on YouTube- a good example of an annointed song. |

The Lord's Prayer & other hymns like it are also annointed, I think. There are many Bluegrass gospel songs that are dear to my heart also. Silent Night always brings tears to my eyes, it is so beautiful. |

That Jesus Christ died on the cross to take away your sins and make you blameless before God so that you don't have to go to hell if you lead a holy life after you receive Christ as your Saviour. Some people who didn't believe in God or Jesus CHOSE to believe & prayed for faith to believe & their prayers were answered. If you give your life to Jesus Christ, you have nothing to lose and everything good to gain. You have everything to lose if you don't give your life to Him. |

Jesus Christ is the real Messiah. Isaiah 53 prophesied of Jesus coming as the Messiah. When Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead, He established the New Covenant. Hebrews 8:7-9 "For if that first covenant had been faultless, there should no place have been found for the second. For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt,because they continued not in My covenant & I regarded them not." |

Jesus Christ told us to love our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. If someone hits us on one cheek, turn the other cheek & let them hit that one, too. Are we supposed to treat our own children worse than we treat our enemies? NO. The age of the child makes no difference except the smaller they are the more hateful it is to spank them. Jesus did not teach us to be violent. Matthew 18:6 Jesus said,"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Teach them about God. Pray for them & about them. |
