Why So Many Denominations

Gary - While I would agree with you that many churches can be downright exhausting with some of the things they teach and preach and practice, I would say that none of us are perfect and we still need to join together with other believers. I'm a member of a solid, KJV-only Baptist Church, and while I agree with the vast majority of what goes on there, I don't agree with everything that is taught or practiced. But it's all good, 'cause I still need the support and fellowship of other believers (Heb 10:25). Also, I appreciate some of the comments you put on here. Some people cannot rightly divide the Word no matter how much doctrine you try to teach them, but keep up the good work anyway.

What Does Tithing Mean

There is the "tithe" and there is the "offering". The tithing is our obedience to the command of God.The tithe is to go into the warehouse, the local church where we are spiritually fed. The offering is done to show/prove our love. The tithe is to go to our church for the work, support of our Pastor. It is not to go to our cousins, or any other good project. It belongs to the Lord. Period.... There are many TV programs who teach the carnal "seed sowing" doctrine of giving so as to get. What a farce and it only shows what a carnal Christian has in their hearts. The term carnal Christian seems a paradox. How can one be a true Christian and still be carnal? Guess why their prayers do not get answered?

Why Did Lot's Wife Look

Why did Lot's wife look back? The same reason many so-called Christians "look back". They miss the old life style and the carnal pleasure of their sins, knowing they are doing what is displeasing to God, their flesh desires the pleasures of this world, yet, their spirit desires the things of God. It is a warfare that will continue as long as we live in this world. Many may have been convicted of their sin but not truly converted. This is why Romans 12:1-3 was written.

Today's Biggest Sins

The biggest Sin overlooked is denying your own savior, by denying His sound words John 14:26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you. Are you of very elect that ultimately cannot be deceived? Are there men and women who deny the sound Words, teachings of your savior by not bringing to your remembrance the sound words of Jesus Christ? Then they are not of the Holy Spirit!! Some might mean well, some are straight out to deceive you. Have you seen the false Christ raised among the Gods people? Who even does signs and wonders among us? Matthew 24:24

Obedience To Your Religion

Gary, I want to commend you on your handling of the Word of God. I was reading some of the give-and-take you had with Leslie and others on tithing, and I'm impressed with your understanding and knowledge of the Bible. (Please don't let this go to your head, brother. :o) ) I'm truly amazed at how many Christians either cannot rightly divide the Word of truth or they just go by their Pastor's opinion without doing their own research and study (2 Tim 2:15). It's amazing.

1/1 Study of the teachings from Christs lips. For Christian union Can our house divided stand? Dear friend, is the Holy Spirit bringing to your remembrance all of the things that Christ said? In, JOHN 14:26? Begin with the teachings of Christs lips! If a woman or man does not consent to the words of Christ, then they are proud, they know nothing! And their interpretation of Scripture is not from the Holy spirit. How can you deny your Saviors teaching? Glenn is right with his application of Scriptures regarding the position of women in the church and with their husband. Please show respect for your husband as the leader, giving respect is about showing love. Are not women about love?

So Keep the Old Testament, or better as He puts it, keep His Word! Your savior did not call His Word, Old Testament as men have labeled His Word incorrectly! Submission within the marriage of love is for the sake of union, ending the disagreement with the one leading making the final decision. Submission is about respect for the leader at work. Is not showing respect, about showing love? Then, Show love for your husband. I thought women were about love! Would like to placed as the leader and be stepped all over by the one who is supposed to follow your leadership? Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you, if you were the leader. How would you feel about the one who is suppose to follow you, ignoring you, stepping all over your leadership? That would be disrespectful, for you, wouldn't it?

For the sake of union in doctrine and one mindness in the body of Christ. interpret, understand the scripture within context of the topic, subject! Please, do not take interpret scriptures out of their topic, context! This is why the church suffers division and we have thousands of denominations! Can a house divided Stand? Will you continue to let the enemy divide us? Please study the whole Word of God, the law and the Prophets and the New Testament and if any scripture interpretation, application contradicts, by adding, subtractingto the sound words of Christ then throw that interpretation out!! The apple was they key to our very existance. When Eve first tasted the apple and told Adam to eat it they were to become like God. My Pastor Is A Dictator

Continue To Spank My Teenager

I spank my 15 yr old son with his boxers down and bent over couch and use long wooden hairbrush. I usually stop after he has been crying and if it is something serious i will continue for a long time until he has gotten the message. I think it works as he learns that if he misbehaves, he will be punished. His younger brothers have seen him getting spanked and they never misbehave as they don't want it to happen to them. But my oldest son needs it more often.

Confess Affair To My Husband

We are only human, but you must look inward to find out what prompted the affair. Also, would it do more harm than good to admit it to your husband? He must look at what his part was in your affair also. After 20 years you had to have a reason for doing so. The best part is that GOD forgives you, and knows your heart. I am not a counselor, but I know about pain and acceptance, and I am a firm believer that God does not make mistakes, and that everything in this universe happens by HIS design not ours.
