Christ said: Joh12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me ALL Men is exactly all men....It is presumptuous to say it only means the Elect. Hebrews 6 clearly say one can be drawn and never come to salvation! Trey, Jesus here is saying if He be lifted up..that is the preaching of the Cross, for the preaching of the cross is the power of God unto Salvation Also stated in John 3:14 and John 8. So who does the lifting up? We, those who are filled with the Holy Spirit do. WE preach Christ crucified and risen in the power of the Holy Spirit. Even Paul said, God forbid I preach anything else but Christ Crucified. Let's left UP Christ and let God do the rest.

The fruit is far superior to the Law, because anyone who bears fruit listed above will never beak the Law. This is the evidence of our faith in Christ. This evidence comes to those who are crucified with Christ, No longer I but Christ who lives in me...we bear HIS VERY LIFE in us. This is our sanctification life...not our justification life.

Trey #2 Please post. sorry, Faith is listed in Galatians 5. My mistake. However the faith listed here is not in reference to our faith to believe in Jesus for our justification. A measure of faith Romans 12 is also given to those already saved to continue to not only live by faith as our continued life, but faith in operation of our gifts given to His Body. When you read the verses before Galatians 5:22 you will see the contrast of works of the flesh, and life in the spirit. Romans 8. Paul in GAlatians is talking to already SAVED people who were being troubled by the lawyers wanting to put them back under law after salvation.

Faith is believing in the promises of God. The Promises of God are in scripture. God's WORD. The Promises of God are in the Gospel..God's word. The word of God is LIVING and POWERFUL and sharper than a two edge sword, piercing between soul and spirit. It pierces our conscience. EVERY human has a God Given conscience. Adam and Eve KNEW Good and EVIL ...an awakened conscience between right and wrong, good and evil...Not just evil!!(AFTER they fell). Is God's word only given to a select few? Not according to scripture. God's WORD is His Word to ALL Mankind! Every soul will stand before GOD and be judged by His word...EVERY WORD!!!

How can someone think they can be in CHrist before they were even created in the flesh? ---michelle on 11/13/09 Absolutely Michelle. How can anyone believe they were in Christ before Christ came in the flesh? They can't. But they believe they were in the eternal son already before the foundation of the world. This is why MarkV is so adamant that the eternal son existed before the foundation of the world. Without that, he would be totally lost in his election theory. He can't understand that the begotten Son was through the overshaddowing of the Holy Spirit with Mary, who died and rose again and it is in THAT SON ONLY that we are SAVED. There are many Jesus's out there. But only Jesus Christ of scripture can save you.

The reason is because Smith grew up with Calvinists in MASS. It was actually Calvinists that left Calvinism and went with Joseph Smith. So much for Election!! Calvin believed he was regenerated at his infant baptism. He believed that to his dying day. He actually has no personal testimony of ever being Born Again after receiving Christ. Joseph Smith had a brother that died in infancy. Joseph made up the doctrine of baptizing for the dead BECAUSE of his bitterness being told his brother was in HELL because he wasn't baptized as an infant.

They both put Jesus as a lesser god..His eternal son. LDS believe He was a son, but not the only son, and not GOD. 3. Calvinists came to America believing they were God's New Chosen people, replacing Israel with themselves 4. LDS believe THEY are God's New Chosen People replacing Israel with themselves.. 5. Both talk about the City on the Hill, both have that BIG EYE staring down from the ceiling. It's easy to see where Joseph got his ideas...and twisted those he didn't like.

Regeneration is your BORN AGAIN experience. No one is regenerated FIRST before being Justified. No one is Justified first before repenting and receiving God's Mercy and Pardon. It's Justification in His Blood first that results in eternal life.
