Can God Be Sovereign
John:You asked me a similar question: "If the Lord Jesus Christ died for every singgle person, then every singgle person would be save...

If the Lord Jesus died to save everybody and some go to hell then he would be a failure..."

Why do you believe this would indicate failure? As sovereign, is God able to allow choice in what one believes concerning Truth?

Rom 3:3"what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?"
Concerning "His people" used sometimes for Israel exclusively, but also mankind, as all belong to the LORD

How Is God Love
"Is God making this choice before were even born"

From what I understand, God chooses,He chooses before we are born, but has foreknowledge of choice one makes, BUT the choice is by His influence or not, so even the ones who choose, do so because of His work in them, so that in all things He gets the glory...we can do NO good thing or ourselves AND all good things come from Him, so any/all good that any do, is to the praise of the Father.
What is predestined is that "those who believe (who so ever)...Those, not being a select group of named/predetermined individuals but has been open to all that Jesus died for. Those who WILL win the pri

How Did Life Begin
"Did the universe and all life have a naturalistic or a supernatural beginning?"
Both. Understanding depends on perspective...From mans, beginning is supernatural. From Gods, it is naturalistic in that it is of, by, in accordance with His nature/character, His essence.
So that, what is natural to man and natural to God are not always viewed the same.
Verses concerning life, both natural/mortal and eternal...
"Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men."Jn 1:3-5
"For in him we live, and move, and have our being" Acts 17:28
"he giveth to all life, and breath" vs 25
(Acts 17:24-28)

Spirit Goes To Heaven
I agree that the dead are not (yet) ascended into heaven. as for "Now we have the highest heaven were God is, Psalm 115:16 , There also a Third heaven , 2 Corinthians 12:2 - Different Levels ?" RichardC on 2/20/17,

Psalm 115:16 KJV
" The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men."

2 Cor 12:1 "...visions and revelations of the Lord.", vs 2 "...such an one caught up to the third heaven."
I had thought before of levels, but another possibility is the new heaven (and earth) in a third age/eon, the age to come.

Finish It Here HIV Positive
It had been my understanding that the Catholic Church's stance on birth control is that it is OK as long as it is not abortive, such as things which either prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg or something that would destroy or eliminate a fertilized egg soon after conception.

Things which prevent conception would be OK.

Marriage Of HIV Couples
Should one with HIV be treated as some would a leper?

BTW,STDs of all sorts may be transmitted in various ways, though perhaps less common. Many have been known to come in contact in labs for instance, or through blood transfusions given for medical conditions.

Hard To Believe In God

You admit faith, but trouble maintaining that faith. Also, you have asked God, indicating a belief. Is it the signs you question rather than God? I dont see desiring to be sure that something is purely of God as wrong or lack of faith, but in some cases might be wise, desiring to know truth.

Perhaps rather than seek signs, seek Him, who has, gives and is truth

and elsewhere,

you are clear in your beliefs. A blessing. Thank you, thanks to the Father

Finish It Here Dec 2016
I cant find the blog entitled "Do we need a bible degree"

not sure what happened to it.

Degrees are not necessary, but being called, being taught by God

Acts 4:13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled, and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Acts 4 all

taught of the Father: Jn 6:45, 1 Thes 4:9. 1 Jn 2:27

consider also God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty, 1 Cor

Trinity For Salvation
"The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power OF THE HIGHEST shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."

"Of the Highest", being God, the Father

Defend Your Faith
Nicole,"I never got upset when someone told me why they believed the way they believed I NEVER challenged them about their own faith." OK. Good for you.

"Are they UPSET with that person because they didn't convert, or they upset with themselves for NOT being able to convert that person?"
"It seems many keep score pads to turn in to Jesus in Heaven when they die."

The LORD knows each ones heart.

It is the LORD who is right(-eous), correct, and corrects.
openness to His correction in interpretation, desiring His way over our own, is vital.
we may be corrected, in way of thinking, beliefs, behavior. He is sufficient.

President Trump
If there is any positive change, it would be of and by the Lord, and not a mere man (or woman)

Defend Your Faith

Whether in regards to faith, or any other beliefs, I think people get angry and believe they know more (pride) simply because of being human. It is a common tendency, and a person does not truly rise above such tendencies without the help of the LORD. I also think all have, at least for a time, had this tendency, for all have sinned, whether or not it is apparent to that individual. Also, some are more passive in their anger, so it may not be as obvious.

Christians For Trump
What is of concern is His truth, and I doubt a believer will vote on the basis of fear inspired by Trump OR Clinton or any other. Rather, what motivates is the love of the Father in choices made.

Can't We All Walk In Love
Reading StrongAxes response...

it is so important to be teachable and correctable.

And truly, that is a work of God

ProLife ProChoice

"This means that the two are (more or less) direct opposites of each other."

That's how I had understood it. However, when considering those who oppose abortion morally but support choice, I have thought of how God allows certain choice(s), but is not for all choices made.

Can't We All Walk In Love
Hi Rita,
Despite nasty arguments I believe there is still some true witness here. Your concerns are valid, and I recall moderators telling very many people utilize the blogs, even if they do not post.

I do wonder about how new people access cnet now, since the main page no longer has links to blogs, e cards and much more, but is rather dedicated to marketing.I initially came across cnet looking for e cards.

Violating The Sabbath
Thanks StrongAxe, I appreciate your input, and you have brought up a distinction I have thought about...

"we WILL NOT want to offend Him by disobedience." While I agree that the believer will not want to offend Him, Of greater significance than our will is God's will

Violating The Sabbath
I read something interesting...a translation from ancient Hebrew of commandments. Of note, instead of "shall not" is "will not".

Translation (which I am not at a level to determine its literal accuracy, but came across this after giving some thought to the shall/shall nots in scripture but looking up other information)

1 I am YHWY your Elohim, there will not be for you another God before me.

Concerning the Sabbaththis source translates the commandment as
"Remember the day of ceasing (Shabbat) to make it special."
