Frances008 you're mistaken. I belong to Assembly of God it upholds mission work over the world to establish self propagating, selfsupporting, selfgoverning national church bodies in every country. Each Church is owned by the local church as long as it is operating in solid fiscal way. If Local Church closes the National Organization receives the property to either pull out of the red or sell. No way One World Religion. There are 1/2 billion Pentecostals in World, the AoG only has 57 million plus members.

Assemblies of God are for a One World Religion.

I read Cho and his mother-in-law were Assembly of God Preachers so they would have a Biblical background and Pentecostal doctrine then. They began church in her home. When they got 50 members put a tent in her backyard until outgrew that. I think then they bought some land but continued to use bigger and bigger tents until built first church. They had 800 and 20000 members in 2007.

What is false about his teaching - does anyone know? I have heard his name mentioned several times but know nothing about him. No doubt, if I do a google search I will find a mish-mash of different opinions. Does anyone know anything 100% factual about him?

He is a splendid man of God.He makes most christians look like a pack of weaklings and I put myself in that group. He has willingly suffered and worked like the disciples did.

All church ORGANIZATIONS and TV ministries are BUILT on MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. There are some pastors who have the intention of not letting MONEY, MONEY, MONEY interfere with the truth of God's message and how we should grow spiritually, but that doesn't really work out too well, especially since EVERYTHING is so expensive these days. The rule of thumb is...the bigger the ministry/church, the more they rely on money and the less they rely on God. In this day and age, that's just the way it is.

The very same.

Is this the same person as Paul Yonggi Cho?

If you study the Bible should recognize the doctrine of false teachers. Bible written:

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

David Yonggi Cho's false teachers.

Dr. David Yonggi Cho's church is in Seoul Korea. It is called Yoido Full Gospel Church. It's fabulous and huge. The main sanctuary seats 12,000 people. He was such a gentleman when i met him.

My error M.A. I think you are correct about this church being in Korea. TY for setting it straight.
Reading on the Net, there are varying opinions. One writer has several sights that make Cho seem a fake.
Other sights praise his work and ministry. He is part of the Assemblies of God Church.

I think Paul (David) Yonggi Cho's church is in Korea not China and is absolutely enormous. I've heard they have many pastors and many services every Sunday so that as the church empties another lot can go in with their pastor and that there is a lot of weekday teaching also.

I have seen him on TV once. He seemed sincere in his biblical teachings.
I have heard it said that he has the largest church in the world in China. It started as one church, but has spread to 100's of satillite churches in China. MANY have come to the Lord from his teachings.
