Post a New Blog

I have watched Life Today for years. But recently I have noticed something disturbingly different in James Robison's eyes. Before I comment on that, I want to say that the Holy Spirit has given me the ability to see darkness in other peoples eyes, as a result of being involved with darkness 15 years ago myself. After God brought me out of that, I was able to see this in people. I can also see anger. I see darkness in JR. Can anyone else see this?

The reason I ask is,..others who have a past in the occult, witchcraft, satanism..etc, can probably see what I see. If you are someone that can identify with this & can see what I see, please comment.

Thank you.

New here. I've seen bits and pieces of James Robison's 'Life Today' programs, but the one this morning with Joel Osteen kind of saddened me. It's a good thing to want to 'encourage' the body (and others as well) but where does the preaching of the 'true Gospel' come into play? It seems 'NO' pastor is willing to ask Joel 'point blank' why he will not preach on "sin and repentance", and that includes Robinson. He also sad we don't have to beat people down to present the Word, and that Joel was doing a 'good thing' by encouraging and lifting up people. But, can we be sure God is pleased by this, when it seems as if the Gospel is being 'watered down'?

Hey Craig, do you know (or anyone else) remember the name of the "Godly Man" that cast the demons out of James? Please reply to this blog. I think it was Lenny or Milton Green. Please reply if you know...and with any link to him. I am sure that he is dead but would like to find some literature by him. Thanks

RED FLAG

"However, it is not as transparent an organization as I would like. It is impossible to find out how much compensation the Robisons receive: "
---mima on 1/19/09

James Robison knows the Light of the gospel. Years ago a Godly Man cast demons out of James. James was taught by the Holy Spirit the true Gospel. I just wish he would give up this world and teach the Gospel that was shown to him. If he were to speak the truth that I know he has been taught. I believe he would be hated. James, let your light shine. God Bless
---Craig on 1/18/09

It appears that LIFE Outreach does some amazing work for the body of Christ. My wife and I have supported the ministry previously. However, it is not as transparent an organization as I would like. It is impossible to find out how much compensation the Robisons receive: LIFE organization has been able to classify itself as a 'church' for IRS purposes and therefore does not have to file Form 990 as other non-profits are required to do. I have written to request this info, but simply got a copy of LIFE's audited financials which provide no breakdown of the Robison's compensation. I don't even know what I would consider 'too much', but I think it's only fair that donors know how much of their contribution is going to support the leaders' lifestyle

To every question there is a pro and con. Some more "forceful" than others. I would say let God be your guide. The Christian God. And to that, James and Betty Robison are doing a great job.
---Pat on 9/17/08

This is a very easy question to answer about james robison..The answer is he is extremely compromised and fellowships and blesses false teachers that are damned to hell indeed!!

Satan is a very nice guy, well dressed, very moral and has the best sermon any man has ever preached for crying out loud!!

If one even gives God speed THE BIBLE DECLARES that this person how much more a teacher is a PARTAKER OF HIS EVIL, YES EVIL, AGAIN FOLKS EVIL DEEDS!!

robison is very sold out to men pleasers and false believers who are simply ordained from below Hells' finest!!

they no longer had a love for the truth.

Tim
---Tim on 7/1/08

It promotes ecumenical doctrines. For instance, when he and his wife aired their interview with Bill O'Reilly on 10/11/2007, O'Reilly explicitly equated the Deity of Judaists, Muslims, and Christians without qualification. Yet neither he nor his wife expressed any objection to O'Reilly's statement.

So, in my opinion, I would characterize Mr. Robison's ministry as a "good 'ole boy" ministry which "pals around" with all sorts of doctrinal beliefs.
---eahaddix on 10/12/07

I think James & Betty Robison are among the finest examples of Christians I've ever witnessed. God bless them and their ministry.
---augua9846 on 9/26/06

I've met James & Betty Robison and they seemed very caring and genuine. I watch them and many other great Christian shows on Miracle Channel which streams online. Do a search and watch James each morning. I think the show is called Life Today.

What manager, who are you talking about? Are you related?
---R.A. on 9/25/06

Randy Robison - Are you related to James Robison?
---Helen_5378 on 9/25/06

As for the manager married more times than you can count, she will openly tell you that she's been married seven times. Her testimony is amazing. God totally transformed her life. After her conversion, she married for the final time. That was several years ago and God has blessed that relationship, as He is prone to do when we put our trust in Him.
---Randy_Robison on 9/25/06

DELOE, I assure you that James runs the ministry. He doesn't sit in the phone center all day, but he's definitely in charge. He trusts the people in management and allows them to play a vital role in the operations, as any good leader does.
Any other questions, just ask.
---Randy_Robison on 9/25/06

I watch James Robison and his wife and have supported their drilling wells for people who have contaminated water to drink. What starving, dying person is going to listen to you talk about Jesus when you are unwilling to meet their physical needs. Thank God for this couple who is willing to help others in need. This couple is doing a good work in the name of Jesus. Will you condemn them for that? A true Gospel meets the needs of the whole person, not just their eternal destiny, as important as that is.

Helen 5378 "I do have a problem with someone wanting to build water wells. Jesus told us to "go preach the gospel"; nowhere did Jesus say to build water wells." No He didn't say that in those particular words Helen but if you read Matthew 25:35-46 and pay particular attention to verses 40 and 45 I think you might see a connection between that and in what James Robison does. Sometimes actions do speak louder than words.
---M.A. on 7/4/06

In U.S. you probably have more opportunities to hear James Robison than we have in U.K. When I used to get the God Channel I watched him daily. There is absolutely nothing negative that I could say about him. He is a lovely, humble and very emotional man and makes no secret of what God has done for him. He is the product of rape and discusses this openly and with great love for his mum for keeping him. If you have the opportunity to hear him, do so.
---M.A. on 7/4/06

I would love more info about James Robison. He came through our city years ago claiming new truths and split three churches here. I was dissapointed to see Beth Moore being promoted on his program and him on her website as well. I have e-mailed Beth and questioned her a week ago but she has not responded. I want to know only one thing...the truth. Thanks for any help you may offer.

Moderator - What did he teach in those churches that caused the spilts?

To Linda6563, Did you get that story from good ole Joel Osteen?
---Thomas on 4/19/06

Linda obviously you are not getting my point, or rather I am not explaining it properly. The fact that a "gospel" is being made out of building water wells that is so very wrong. Bless you sister.
---Helen_5378 on 4/19/06

Helen, I heard a story one time about a woman who was out of groceries and began to pray aloud to God to supply her need. The neighbor, an atheist, came by and told her that there was no God. This went on for some time until the atheist showed up with groceries and told the woman, "See there. I supplied your groceries. There really is no God." To which the woman said, "Thank you Lord for supplying my needs...and you used the devil to do it."
---Linda6563 on 4/19/06

From what I've heard and seen, my opinion is that he's a legit communicator of the Gospel. If you've seen or heard him on his programs more than once, you'll know that he's sincere. He expresses his passion about helping the poor but that's understandable when you learn about where he came from and experienced it.

Yes we are to supply the needs of others as you are all saying. But is it right to do that by asking just anyone who wants to give money on the television. I know of an unsaved person who has given to his ministry.
---Helen_5378 on 4/19/06

praise God we got together on that one
---Exzucuh on 4/19/06

PART ONE:
Helen_5378
You say Jesus did not tell us to go build water wells.
Here are some scriptures for your consideration:

Matthew 25:35, "...I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink..."

Isaiah 58:7, "Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him..."
---Bruce5656 on 4/19/06

PART TWO:
James 2:15-17, "If a brother... be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; (and) ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."

1 John 3:17, "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"

James 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? faith without works is dead, it is not christian to preach only and not supply the needs of people.
---Exzucuh on 4/19/06

How would you feel if you were in one of those waterless, filthy places and somebody came to preach the gospel to you but didn't give you any water, especially if they had to ability to do so? How long do you think you would get to live to enjoy on the earth the Jesus you just received? Not long.
---Linda6563 on 4/19/06

Helen, we are to be as profitable in the flesh as we are in the spirit. James talks about those who tell a brother or sister, "Go be warmed and filled", not doing anything needful for the body. There are many layers of truth to that statement but being practical is one of them.
---Linda6563 on 4/19/06

I do have a problem with someone wanting to build water wells. Jesus told us to "go preach the gospel"; nowhere did Jesus say to build water wells. I am very wary of this sort of thing.

2. Thank you brother Elder for keeping up with this subject. You are a blessing. It brings love to one another and all for good within the body of Christ.
---Lupe2618a on 12/21/05

Brother Elder, I am so thankful. I posted Romans 8:28 on "Is satan in charge of hell?" with the purpose to share to Eloy that all things do work for good to those that are called. I had him in my heart as you have had Molly/Delore. I wanted to help him see that he went through hell and much injustice but ULTIMATELY God will work it for good. How? He tells us through His word. We believe it and we trust that no matter come hell or high water God will make it good for those who love Him.
---Lupe2618 on 12/21/05

Forum family, I am totally convinced that Molly/DELOE is serious. She has wrote me and explained things. I for one receive her with open arms and offer fellowship for she is profitable for the ministry here. I look forward to her input on this forum and as you can tell her suffering has only made her better. God Bless.

I forgive James Robison and anyone on the management staff of Life Outreach International who had anything to do with my termination. It's my gift to Jesus for his birthday, and my gift to myself, because I want to be happy again. DELOE (Molly)

We are ALL responsible for the words we speak. When we stand before God, all will be open that we have said or done. We MUST show love and patience even under the most difficult circumstances. You're not only showing hate towards JR, but now you take that a step further and try to sully Elder's name. Forgive, and stop agitatiting yourself and others.
---NVBarbara on 12/13/05

DELOE ... we have corresponded privately, and you have told me a little bit more than you have put these blogs. I pray that you will be able to put your troubles with this employer behind you. You do need to do that, and trust God to provide for you and your husband in the future, and I am sure that you are trying to do that. Elder is just hoping to give you soem encouragement in this. Please don't throw his kindness and wisdom back in his face.

MY husband is a Pastor as well. He preaches the truth, uncompromised- to me included. But he can look you in the eye and tell you you're going to hell if you don't change, with tears in his eyes- and make you feel so loved at the same time, just like Jesus would do.

As Christians, we ARE sent here to help and "straighten" people out if we see they need help, or are in sin!
And much more for a pastor as Elder is, he is responsible for every word he speaks trying to show how a Christian should live. He has set me straight a time or two, and I'm thankful for it!
---NVBarbara on 12/12/05

Thanks Barbara for your kind remarks. This DELOE wrote a question some months back and I gave an answer of Truth. The answer was rejected and I was slandered to the point of remarks about my name. She comes back and the same thing happens again. First it is James Robison, then me and now Barbara at fault. It this the Spirit of Christ? We DO NOT go way back and she is not known by me or my wife. She is an angry person who is playing the victim for some special purpose of her own.
---Elder on 12/12/05

NVBarbara- LOL!
---DELOE on 12/12/05

NONE of these people have any knowledge of my whole situation, and their remarks are totally undeserved. "Elder and I" go way back so to speak. He has set himself up as my judge from the very start and has made it his mission to "put me in my place" I don't have a HATE for anybody. I DO, however, have a problem with his "spiritual uppity-ness" and superiority complex. He seems to think he was sent here to straighten everyone else out.

A very good question "mewonder." Elder is a balanced teacher and preacher, and a loving person. I don't see that he was rude of offensive on this blog. Why single him out Deloe? We all want to give constuctive help, and sometimes that is hard to take if one has built resentments.
Maybe a good start for learning to let God help you get over your bitterness is an apology to Elder.

AMEN Nellah! My ex left when my son was 4 years old. I was left to raise him alone. But with God's help and that of many friends and family we survived! My son is 32 now and a great guy. He and his father have become friends, and just about a year ago my son joined his father's firm. Its a big law firm, so they are not even in the same town. But my son has taught his father what forgiveness is!

DELOE, I don't know what happened to you. I do know that anytime something bad happens to us that it's our cue to run to God. My exhusband took off in the middle of the night with my son, I went crazy, drank myself to sleep, after a year I ended up in a ministry. God never gives us more than we can bear, even tho we don't always believe it. If I can make it thru what I've dealt with, so can you. Don't let people bring you down, let God bring you up.

THANK YOU Judy, Barbara, and Mary. Those are the kind of responses one would expect to find on a Christian website. I appreciate your kindness and SINCERE CONCERN. Elder, on the other hand, has not done so. Oh I'm sure he would be glad to tell you some things I've said to him, but it has all been in retaliation to HIS rude and hateful comments. At the risk of sounding like a 5 yr old- HE STARTED IT! by calling me everything THEY did and then some, and telling me I DESERVED to be fired
---DELOE on 12/9/05

Greetings in Christ! Hello Deloe. Just wanted to encourage you, and tell you I know where you are coming from. I had been hurt by a BIG Ministry also. It is NO fun. BUT God's healing power will see you thru, be set free, precious child of God. Romans 8:28. You are in my Prayers

I know its difficult Deloe, but until you forgive you'll never be free. Bitterness affects our whole bodies and minds, it causes sickness to come upon us. Please don't judge Elder or the rest of us too harshly. I know its difficult, but any comments made are done out of caring, even if it does seem hard to take sometimes. ....I know it's wrong, but I pray every time, that one day these things wont cause me to be so angry. I know I say some harsh things, but it doesnt help when people like Elder insult me and tell me how horrible of a person I am and how unfounded my feelings are. I KNOW unforgiveness is wrong, but insulting me is NOT helping me get over this any faster. All it does is make me madder because I feel like everyone is on THIER side, saying what they did is right- and it wasn't
---DELOE on 12/9/05

yes, many times. You see, it's not just the firing that I have problems getting over. It is the lasting effects it had on my life. My finances are ruined, and it has caused me more problems than I can count. Whenever I get a threatening call from a creditor, or get a cut-off notice on a utility in the mail, I have 'flashbacks' so to speak and start thinking about it all over again.....
---DELOE on 12/9/05

Deloe, have you forgiven whoever hurt you? You come on so strong, its as though you still have bitterness. We all experience bad things, but we can't make that the sum total of our lives. The bitterness will turn to sin in our lives when we hold grudges. Have you asked God to set you free from the ill feelings you have for these people? 'barba7434'
---NVBarbara on 12/8/05

Barbara you have hit the nail on the head. There is bitterness and anger in this person and has been for a long time. This has been exposed and instead of repenting and seeking God's face this person wants to lash out and blame others. This will continue on to destroy them if there is not a change in the heart as that is where the problem is at.

2. I know it is easy for me to say that but its the only answer I know for what happened to you. I can hear the pain in your answers. The Holy Spirit in your life should convict you to forgive. Delore, I am sorry for what you have gone through. I don't know all that you went through and don't want to judge you in that point at all. I am a person that does speak about people teaching false doctrine. I believe that is our number one concern as Christians. Of course you went through a lot as you say, but as Christians we should forgive no matter what. Forgiveness is very hard but it helps us. Good question Delore, I am more interested in Doctrine, do you know of any false doctrine going on in the ministry? If you do, can you tell us? I know many people are not liked and there is many good reasons but what we should be concern with is the teachings of Christ. Anyone can dislike someone, for reasons other then doctrine. Just look at Pat's blog, many write wrong but none has anything against him on doctrine. Can you explain a little better?
---Lupe2618 on 12/1/05

I would like to add here that I've worked for a few ministries in my time and the face you see on TV is not the face you get 24/7 but you are never "on" 24/7 either. People in ministry doing things for the kingdom come under great attack from satan (and other christians unfortunately) so the pressure is high. Instead of pointing a finger, try having the same compassion you ask of Jesus for your miserable failings every day.
---lisa on 12/1/05

I have nothing to prove to any of YOU- I'm not a liar, and I don't hate anyone. The word talks about exposing the works of darkness. As I said, none of you have the slightest idea what goes on behind closed doors there- I do. How do you expect me to prove I worked there?
