You Will Know Them By Fruits

You'll know them by thier fruit-Your brother sins confront him rebuke him cast him out if he doesn't listen-Wait for the Lord he'll bring out the real intentions. Is "judging" saying someone that is sinning - saying by their actions they're not believers -OR to say what their intentions are?

If a brother is walking disorderly after rebuke by the church, yes,he is to be ignored by them as a witness but not as an enemy. If one CAN snatch him from the fire, without partaking in his sins, great!! He has saved his brother
& covered a multitude of sins. Otherwise, a little leaven spoils the whole lump. Bad company corrupts good character.

we should accept people with all their shortcomings, but if someone is sinning, we need to point that out to them. someday all of us will have to account for how we lived. better to be "judged" on earth by men, than to be judged by God for things that were wrong.

Judging is saying that you sin, but I do not, and I am better than you. Rebuking & Correcting are knowing that you are a sinner, but helping another sinner to be more like Christ, by speaking the truth to them.

Nicholas ... I do not think any of us has the right to judge (using your first definition) whether someone else is a brother in Christ.

Only God knows who is a real Christian.

Jesus gives us the instruction to Judge them by their fruits. Now what we need to remember is that judging have more than one definition and in the greek he uses the word judging to mean (1) to discern and (2) to stand in the place of a judge. He is using definiton one here. We can discern and know whether one is a brother or not by his actions. The second defintion is his right only. We cannot condemn or sit in judgement on them.

Now about judging--We do not know the intentions of a persons's heart. Only God knows and He can reveal it to us. Appearances are deceiving,Some look, know the right words to say but they do not belong to God others do not seem to belong to God but they do. So we cannot jump to conclusions without seeing their fruit.(John 17:8)For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that You sent me.)(John15:17)...Love each other.

The second part of your question,...(I Cor.5:11)But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy,an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.

---Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord,'will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day,'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers?'Sometimes people get mixed up with fruits and judging. Here we are given advice on being alert for false brethen so as we are not led astray.Knowing the word will give us the discernment that we need.

I assume this is the verse that you are refering to(Matt.7:15-20)"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.con't

If we judge ourselves first, and then are rightened, then others cannot judge us. We are commanded to Judge Rightly. II Corinthians 10:6. So to avoid "judging wrong judgment", just keep the 2nd law of God. It's called the "Golden Rule": Say and do EXACTLY what you want others to say and do to you. Matthew 7:12.

Thank you Tami. I believe if you are constant and mature in your actions, you will fulfill the requirements of the position that you have been placed in. By faith, you are placed in a position of life; given a gift. There are many gifts and many backups with the same gift ready to fill the position. I Corinthans chapter 12 tells of some spiritual gifts but ends with charity. 'Follow after charity and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.' I cor. 14:1

I also see ea.person in their denomination, by their fruits. I donot trespass or judge them because God knows their hearts. If i see them doing something wrong then I'll remind them incely.EX: I have LDS friends,I don't harp on them, but I point out a few things scriptually ,but left the rest alone.

The best I can describe it in words is that rebuking in love brings upon conviction. Judgement brings on condemnation. If you see a brother who is sinning, you have a choice on how you will deal with it. Godly or ungodly. Keep in mind this is not the only way to spot it, but I find when I am passing judgement it is generally telling someone about someone else's sin, whereas if I rebuke I am speaking directly to the person in a loving and gentle manner. Hope this doesn't confuse you even more! LOL.
