We speak of Gods "perfect" will and God's "permissive" will.

God's "perfect" will for Israel was to have a theoracy (a God run country through the priesthood). He allowed them to have a king (his permissive will) even though it was not the best thing for them. He has worked out His purposes for Israel but they paid a great price for not allowing God's "perfect" will to be realized in them.

Then there were the many times that they left the will of God out of the picture completly as they backslid into idolatry etc.

Que sera, sera: In spanish this means, what will be, will be. God's will will be done no matter what. Evil ones will do violence to the Kingdom, but God will always turn it around for good.

Not unless the person chooses the evil around him and rejects God's will.

Never ever question God's will friend. If you love Him, BELIEVE IN HIM and He can do all things. If you have done wrong and you repent of your wrongs, sure God's will for your life will be fulfilled. BELIEVE IT...

I think a good scripture to look at would be in Hebrews chpt 11:8-16 verse 13 says, these all died in faith , not having recieved the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them confessed that they were stranders and pilgrims on the earth.

No, it cannot go unfulfilled because it was fulfilled when He raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at His right hand. His will for man is ruling and reigning from a place of rest in the mercy seat. In other words, what is done in heaven is to "be" done in earth. The kingdom of God is already within you. It just needs to show up on the outside of you.

We have the power or the ability to thwart the preceptive will of God, though never the right to do so. God's sovereign Permission of human sin is not His moral approval.

I think what you were asking is His Perceptive will, Here God reveals His will through His holy law. for example, it is the will of God that we do not steal; that we love our enemies; that we repent; that we be holy. This aspect of God's will is revealed in His word as well as in our conscience, by which God has written His moral law upon our heart. His laws, whether they be found in Scripture or in the heart, are binding. We have no authority to violate this will.

Sovereign decretive will is the will by which God brings to pass whatsover He decrees. This is hidden to us until it happens. Preceptive will is God's revealed law or commandments, which we have the power but not the right to break. The will of disposition describes God's attitude or disposition. It reveals what is pleasing to Him. Hope this helps

God is outside of time, He knows the beginning and the end. He is Alpha and Omega, therefore, His will is always accomplished. He already knows whats going to happen...:)

God's will for mankind is evidenced in the Garden of Eden. God warned Adam, "Do NOT eat that fruit. It will bring you sorrow." That was God's will ... paradise ... no problems, no pain, no sorrow. Did God know beforehand that Adam was going to disobey? Yes, of course He did. Was it His will that Adam disobey? Obviously not. He told Adam, "Don't do it." It was Adam's choice that determined whether he lived in God's will or not.

NO! absolutly not, God is an almight and powerful God nothing and no one can stand against him, and he shouldnt be doubted nor should you be scared of evil just have faith in God. God bless, Godchaser.

The Lords prayer, does not say "thy will be done ON earth", it says "IN earth".. We were formed from the dust of the earth and are the 'earth' that Jesus was speaking of. God's "WILL" is that "all men come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved". That will never happen because people have already died in sin. The only way God's will can be accomplished is that we obey his Word and voice. God's PLAN will come to pass just as God said and all things in the Word will happen just as He said but his WILL can only be accomplished through our obedience.

God is Sovereign. His Will is always "done". It may not manifest itself the way God planned it for each individual but the end result is...God's Will Is Always "done". The prayer Jesus prayed "thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven" was not stated because God needed our prayers to execute His Will. We were instructed to pray that prayer to "accept" His Will on earth, as it is "absolute" and "accepted" "done" "executed" in heaven.

I eyes of God would answer that that question. Judges,4; God gave the prize to Deborah because Barak would not listen to God but His Will was carried out. His Will will be carried out but who gets the glory is the one who listens.

Yes, it's possible that the will of God not be fulfilled in our lives. Over and over Jesus said, according to your faith be it done unto you.

Hebrews 3:19 says that when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, unbelief kept them wandering in the desert for 40 years and prevented them entering the promised land.

In Mark 6:1-6 Jesus was ministering in his hometown and was able to perform only a few miracles. Unbelief kept the people from getting their miracles and Jesus was astounded by it. He wanted to heal the people but unbelief tied his hands.

Are you asking if the devil is stronger than God? Only YOU can affect God's will for your OWN life by choosing your own will instead of His.
---Robin on 4/27/05

My answer is NO. Jesus told His disciples that the world was evil yet He will keep them in IT , give them power and authority to subdue every evil. I believe the same power and authority Jesus give His disciples was given me when I received Him as lord and personal savior so there is no way I will sit and watch the devil hinder God's will from being fulfil in my life. it is really the individual that matters. God is powerful can make anything possible if His principles are put in place. Evil cannot stop God plan but it is disobedience in man stop man from the fulfilled will of God.
