Yes, praise God for all mothers, especially Jesus' mother, Mary, who said Yes to God for our salvation.

Praise God for all mothers! The most important and most rewarding job is also very difficult. Lord lift up the mother's today and forever. Give them strength, compassion, and discernment during the tough times.

Thanks NVBarbara for your Mother's Day well wishes. I also hope you enjoyed your special day. All of my siblings were home and we really enjoyed being together. It's 8 of us and we all took part in one of our sister's 25th wedding anniversary. She and her husband had a very nice ceremony renewing their vows which was followed by a reception. So now I'm trying to recouperate from this weekend's excitement. Again, thanks for your well wishes.

Dear Fran: My heart goes out to you. God has not forgotten you. As you say, He sent Jesus to fill the empty spots of your heart. I want to encourage you and say this happened with me and my children too; however, as they have grown older, they have become much closer to me. I pray for them, continue to love them, and set boundaries with them ( re money etc.). Stay strong and consistent. What God did for my children and me, He will do for you. Pray and rely on Jesus to show you the way. Blessings!!

Mothers are a blessing from the Lord. My own mother was more than that. She was Godly, loved us, sewed our clothes, cooked, worked outside, kept our house clean. She could have put in for welfare, but there was no such a thing as that. My parents had to work. We were never hungry, thursty, homeless, or naked, but poor, oh, yes, we were poor with worldly posessions, but not Godly values.

I am hurting today on Mother's Day...my late husband and I adopted 3 hard to place children and now that they are grown and on their own I mean nothing to them...I gave all I had to give these children the loving Christian environment they grew up with and now that I don't hand them money when they need it I am useless and ignored...it breaks my heart not to be remembered on Mother's Day and would love a glimpse of the love and nurturing my husband and I gave to them...but I have His Love today so that gets me through the rough times...

My son (now 30) is indeed a great blessing from God. We have had our share of difficult "moments", but they were just tiny pebbles along the way. The joy he's brought me, from the time he was born until today, can not be measured. I honestly believe that my son played a major role in helping me keep my "sanity" during all the troubled times. I consider myself a very lucky mom.
That being said, I'd like to wish all other moms a truly happy and blessed Mother's Day!
