Blog Rules And Comments

It's been said before, but its time for a reminder. When you post a reply or new blog and you see another name the same as yours, please do something to distinguish between you. For now, I must add a 1 to my name as there's another floater out there with my name and I know my name is very popular.

Moderator - Also please don't click the enter key at the end of each sentence. It causes alot of extra work. Thanks!

First of all if everyone would read the reply hints you would see that we are asked to use our ChristiaNet Penpal User name as our first name....there are no duplicates in them so if everyone was doing as asked then there wouldn't be a problem...

Is there a rule against changing your blog name?

Moderator: Nope.

What can I say. :)
There are people here from pretty much every where... hey it's possible.

Ohhh, am sorry Lisa_1. So, I am mistaken! I guess I have to read the Blogs again, the postings were I encountered "lisa". Thanks for the corrrection! I appreciated it!

After 3 years here as just Ann, I became Ann5758 after another Ann started posting, and it was showing up on my "last 10 posts". However, if someone is responding to something I said, I still like to be just Ann.

Bethie, ever known anyone named Anon? :)
Actually, I came from a family of 8 children, my parents ran out of names. So the last 4 of us were named Anon until we were old enough to choose our own names! I wanted 'Ms.Congeniality' but an older sister snached that first! J/K!!!

I became Darlene 1 when another Darlene logged on,she becoming Darlene 2.It has served me well to keep my idenity straight.NVBarbara will never be mistaken for anyone else,it's about whatever works for the person is a good-enough name tag for us all to grasp who they are.
---Darlene_1 on 6/26/05

Oh nvbarbara, I am so glad you put in that reference about anon. When I read that, I finally clued in to it, anon...anonymous. Duh, I thought anon was the dudes name. :)

You do not have to be a member of the PenPal section to join in the blogs, so not all can put in their member ID.
But I will from now on. I also show where I come from ... that helps to explain why I sometimes have a different perspective on things (say, politics)

I agree with NV Barbara, I choose not to post my penpal id. I like my privacy in my e-mail, and am selective about who receives it.
---Madison on 6/25/05

You are only supposed to be logging in with your formal ChristiaNet ID, It is system unique. Ii has advantages people can see who you really are. You can get offline e-mails through you ChristiaNet account. If you following the instructios for use of the system, you don't have these problems.

Just a remark Fran. Not everybody wants others to have their penpal address. I have gotton a couple of letters that I would have preferred not to get. Someone complaining about a blog I wrote. I explained at length, but they became a nuisance for a while.

Linda, I'm not sure what you mean about the problematic lisa. I've been on here for about a year and have been the only lisa but I'm definitely not Albert's wife. Linda I respect what you say, so I'm interested to hear what you meant.
---lisa_1 on 6/25/05

Good reminder Lisa.I put my state initials before my name-Nevada, it gives others 2 pieces of info about me. I think there are at least 4 Barbara bloggers.
In addition, if you don't want to use your own name, MAKE ONE UP and stick with it! Who can tell one 'anon' from another?
