I have a friend who sings and travels. he was invited to a big Baptist church in Houston texas. they told him not to sing anything with the word the "blood" so he got up to sing and he sang every single song with the blood in it. after service the preacher told my friend not to ever come back. my friend told him he wouldn't come back even if invited. thank God for a man that will not compromise.

Mark V, Your encoragement does bring me peace & back at you! 2nd Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds,)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Just wait till Christ returns!

J Marc, you are so right in your answer. We sure find out real fast how others see us. It is a threat to them and what they believe. Thank you brother and peace I leave you. A very good answer.
---Mark_V. on 11/5/12

"Anyone been under an attack lately from satan to try to make you sin..."

Satan does not need to "try to make you sin". We are all fallen and are already "dead in sins and trespasses" when we are born into this world, which we've inherited from Adam and Eve. Our will is already in bondage to sin and sinning hence will come naturally to the fallen man.

Satan's mission is, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD" Revelation 12:9, "And shall go out to DECEIVE THE NATIONS which are in the four quarters of the earth... And the devil THAT DECEIVED THEM..." Revelation 20:8,10

MarkV, You are so right! Paul was able to write to encourage us! 2nd Corinthians 4:7-10 "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair, Persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed,Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body."i did'nt expect that i would be troubled by so many falce brethren! Galations 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

J. Marc, (1 Thess. 5:5) Paul was enduring tribulation and wanted to encourage the Thessalonians concerning their faith. This was common practice of Paul (Acts 14:22: 15:32). Paul's concern did not forcus on health, wealth, or ease of life, but rather the Spiritual quality of life. Their faith was of supreme importance. God had promised Paul future suffering in (Acts 9:16). Now the tempter was in the sense of trying or testing for the purpose of causing failure to Pauls work. Paul was not ignorant of satan's schemes (2 Cor. 2:11) so Paul took action to counterattack satan's expected maneuver and to assure that all his efforts were not useless (2:1). Paul had told them to expect him to suffer as he had already before his Thessalonian experience.
---Mark_V. on 11/2/12

Bro MarkV thank you. Sometimes it seems preachers are so eager to win souls they don't teach them how to live for God after they accept Jesus as Son of God who died for our sins. Many Christians aren't taught we have the power over Satan through Jesus Name. That we are indeed warriors and our weapons are the Word of God,we must know it well to stand upon it,faith, trust, and being prayed up walking in close fellowship with God. We never fight our battles against Satan alone because God has the power and stands with us. God Bless

Family,Darlene, bro.Mark, thankyou both, you know,I take bloggs, one brother wrote : one thing he said "know your triggers."

Two sides of the same coin! The tempter: 1st Thessalonians3:5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

Ourselves:James 1:14-15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Sis. Darline, great answer you gave. It's about time for people to stop blaming satan for everything they themselves do. And we do have the power to avoid the temptations of the enemy. Our status with Christ is a spiritual status, and so our wars are spiritual against the forces of evil. And as long as we live in this flesh, we will be fighting that war.
---Mark_V. on 11/1/12

The Bible says we are led astray into sin by our own lust. People may say Satan made me do it,but the truth is they do it because they lusted after it,whatever their sin may be,and they choose to sin themselves. It all goes right back to sowing and reaping, whatever seeds we sow in the garden of life, are the crops we grow. Once we sow seeds the outcome is what we did ourselves, all our actions on earth have conquences, good seed, good crop, bad seed, bad crop, its that simple. Yes Satan tries to tempt but we are given by God power over all the power of the enemy, rebuke him in Jesus name.

Sister Elena, good morning to you.
I believe what Pat was talking about was, that although David was forgiven, there were consequences for his sin for what he did. He not only lost his young son for his sin, but (2 Samuel 12:10) tells us,
"Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife"
What it meant was that since Uriah was killed by violence the house of David would be continually plaqued by violence. These words anticipated the violent deaths of Davids other sons, Amnon (13:28,29), Absalom (18:14,15) and Adonijah (1 Kings 2:24,25).

permit me,please Pat,read your post, why do you think there continued to be war in David' house? I you say, bible we know, he was forgiven. This puzzles me..thanks, ELENA.
---ELENA on 10/30/12

Satan is the great tempter! I don"t know. I just ask God to forgive me of all my sins and those I know not of, on a regular bases. You know, when David walked right into sin, God forgave hm, but, there were always war in his house, until the day he died.

Today, " our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

What 'sin' is Satan trying to tempt us into?

It's the sin the world is convicted of. UNBELIEF in Jesus, John 16:9

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

When we follow the Lords example he will deliver us.
1 Corinthians 7:5, 2 Peter 2:9

many examples of Lord Jesus praying to the Father in Heaven for strength, his will, and his spirit. As Elena already stated it is a choice. it's incorrect to say Satan set you up using that mindset as an excuse, instead take action keeping yourself from evil through power of Gods spirit working in you.

Satan will throw you a curve ball. He will ambush you. Be watchful, be vigilant, and always in prayer.

Interesting,blogg..and the way you open, here my point : for example. I have allergies,if I keep eat foods or be around objects, weeds, grass. ,pets all triggers for allergy, so,in reality can you say the devil ser you up or maybe you already the object of your desire or lust, creer or pleasure ..what ever. It be you placed yourself there.
sure if you talk about it (your weakness) the devil maybe gets it to come your way but it is still a choice, I will agree only satan.will send what he knows you. Like, he will not send that person, item, or whatever which will not be a temptation to you, you.slipped somehow and that is it. Take responsibility for yourself. ELENA
---ELENA on 10/18/12

When we sin we can't always blame Satan. Even James 1:13,14 says we are drawn away by our own desires. Yes, Satan does tempt us, but we have no one to blame but ourselves when we sin against our God.

My not too theological definition is this:

Temptations can be easily overcome by simply ignoring them. If we simply look at the moral issue of it we may "sin". I tend to look a lot at the dignity aspect of the situation and somehow I find it rather easy to overcome most temptations.

Playing it the "martyrs" will push us into submitting to temptations. You'll find all this in Romans 22:13 !!!!
---Albert on 7/7/05

thank you Darlene for all your prayers. I am scheduled to take the radiodine pill July 28th. That will make my voice even worse. Only God can heal at this point. I know He can if it His will and I believe it is His will for our group to continue. He will make a way.

Shira5965,Amen to the bigger things. That is what I have always told my family,God has something even better for you when you don't get the things you expect, want, or prayed for. When we have done all we can then we stand and God does the rest.I am still sorry to hear about all the trouble and pain you've all been through.I will be praying.
---Darlene_1 on 7/7/05

The problem with all this "the devil made me do it" talk is that it sidesteps one's personal responsibility in the matter.
Paul taught:
We are FREE from the obligation to sin Rom 8:2
When tempted we HAVE a way to escape I Cor 10:13
And, the primary source of temptation is NOT THE DEVIL at all but our own nature James 1:13-15
Any temptation from satan is external and is largly avoidable if we follow the simple advice of the children's chorus: Be Careful Little Eyes What You See
---Bruce5656 on 7/7/05

romans 6:16 says "know ye not that to ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey;whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness?"What this is saying if you decide to yield to the flesh or in this case satan then this is who you will serve. If you choose to yield to the spirit, then you are a servant of God. We give satan to much credit in our lives.
---markeshia on 7/7/05

I have learnt that the only way satan can attack us, is if we let him. If one has a pain in her side she will begin to wonder if there is something there to cause it or if it is just a pain. while she is pondering on that pain, she is allowing satan put thoughs inside her head, leading her to believe there is something really wrong, which in fact it was only a pain. You give satan an inch he'll take a mile. The key is satan CAN'T do anything that we don't allow him to do.
---Rebecca_D on 7/7/05

We are engaged in spiritual warfare. We must put on our armor Ephesians 6. If we fall, we must confess it and repent 1 John 1:9. We need to keep short accounts.

If you are not being attacked, it could be because you are already a prisoner of war. The more you are for the Lord, the more you will be attacked. Satan can't stand a faithful Christian reading the Word, and serving the Lord. He will do anything to bring us down. He knows our weaknesses and he does use them against us.
---Madison on 7/6/05

We fall down, but we get up. Glad to hear your going on. That's the best thing to do after you repented. Rember also that Jesus is married to the backslider. The enemy is always going to do his job but cant do anymore than God gives him permission to. keep your faith...
---Dianne on 7/6/05

Shira5965,Perhaps God isn't testing your faith. You were in His will and His annointing was upon the ministry ,God was getting the glory, it wouldn't serve His purposes to win souls and bring the Gospel Message for you to be taken out of the ministry. It's all Satan that has caused the trouble.I always think when bad things happen to God's people Satan is afraid of the good they are doing for the Kingdom of God,so he tries to stop them. Yes.Standing in overcoming faith defeats the enemy.

We have had to cancel all our dates at this time. So now, that will make us more faithful or will break us up. I can tell you we are going nowhere.
