For our "creature" to be delivered from the bondage of curruption,by faith in Jesus (as a free gift from God), into the future "manifestation"of the sons of God,looked forward to by Paul and all believers both Jews and Gentiles..and to experience the Love of God all round us in the world we now live.."Ascribe greatness to our God the Rock!"

Once in a taxicab in New Orleans, the driver asked this very question. In the cab with me was a Christian lady and a non-Christian man. Now since the cab ride was about 30 minutes long from the airport to Mississippi River, over the bridge and to the Algiers side, I took my time and not only told the cab driver but to my fellow passengers also. It became very quiet in the cab. I had witnessed to this man before and he had said no to my knowledge he has never said yes but here's a little prayer for him." Jesus don't let Toby die lost send ministering spirits to his spirit that he might come to a saving knowledge of your son and his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ!" Thank you for the privilege of praying.

What's the meaning of life? We were all created by God. He planned our entire life before we were even born. Our purpose in life is to get to know God, become born again believing Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the son of God who died on the cross to save us from our sins. Once saved, we as Christians are to do our best to become the person God wants us to be. Follow his commandments, love one another, tell others about Jesus so that they might also be saved.

YOU ARE DEAD! If you do not know God. The meaning of life, is God. Without Him you have no life, my friends.
---catherine on 2/8/10|
I believe the meaning of life is what we make it. whatever you want or need at that time is what your meaning is. If at this point in your life what you need is God then he becomes the meaning of your life.

The Meaning of Life is Living Completely for God.

For me it is hanging aloof, A good bit of suffering, Staying in prayer, praise and worship, Obeying God in ALL THINGS, And laughing at the fools who says, "There is no God"! And keep doing even when you wonder what good it is doing.

"What is the meaning of life?"
That [man] might know -perceive, recognize and acknowledge- Our Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, as the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He hast sent to redeem mankind as heirs with HIm to life eternal.

From the time you are given birth to till the time you die. You have the soul in you which tries to question you about the existence of Life. So body and should are 2 different things ! So just leave to Jesus and let him decide where you to deserve to be or who you would be in your next life !

i have been searching for the meaning of life, my whole life. The only thing i can see in life is happiness, which is harder to come by every day that passes. We are past the point of reproducing (noticeable from the over populated world)...
All i read about 'for what the meaning of life is', is love...
Love is just an emotion, and therefore just a feeling. Therefore we come back to the point of happiness. Obviously love has created happiness in these writers lives and this is what they believe as the meaning of life.
I truly believe there is no meaning to life. I wish i could change this. Problem is words are a filter - they never represent the true feelings.

Our meaning comes from knowing and serving God. We are here for His glory.

What is the meaning of life?
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, You shalt love your neighbour as yourself. These are the meanings of life. Simple, eh?
---Steveng on 5/20/07|
the meaning of life is so simple, but so many people complicate the life out of it. We came to the Earth to receive a body of flesh of bones. Jesus said after his resurrection: feel my hands and feet for a spirit does not have flesh and bones. We are taught right from wrong and are then tempted to see if we will deny God for satan. Jesus died for us and broke the bonds of death, but we must repent daily. Job is a prime example of satans temptings.

2-We live our lives, enjoying many happy memories, having families that are eternal. Knowledge is the only gift we take from life. We live our lives in harmony with the gospel and resist temptation. Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only. We die and meet our loved ones in either paradise or the spirit prison, depending on whether we have heard the gospel in life. We are then resurrected and judged according to our works. Rev. 12 We reap what we sow in life. It is up to us where we spend eternity.

Does life have meaning? How about Godliness? One of man's biggest failures especially in the priesthood, which passes their defects on to everyone else, is thinking that "gain is godliness".
Get everybody greedy enough for "prosperity" and we'll have a good economy, and I'll be at the top.
As Seble pointed out, paul identified "gain" with "getting out" (the natural passing away,-perishing). "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."

The meaning of Life? That is quite a question! Its right up there with why am I here? And what purpose do I serve? For me, my life has meaning becasue of Jesus my Lord. And He is the giver of life.... so He brings meaning and purpose to my life!!
---jenna7449 on 5/19/07|
I agree with Eloy, we are created for God's good pleasure. I would add John 17:3"And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Knowing Him, not knowing about Him, knowing Him, now that's living!
---chera3744 on 9/12/05|
The meaning of life is to know, love and serve God in this world and to be happy with Him in the next. Ray
---Raymond on 9/12/05|
Life only has meaning when you know the creator of life, God. John 10:10 says "I have come that they may have LIFE, and life to the full." So a good full life is lived in relationship with God for His purposes, which are to serve Him and bring glory to Him; and to be obedient to Him by following His commands.

Paul said, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." In Phil 3, Paul also stated his desire to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. I have taken my purpose/meaning of life from Paul, to know Jesus and to be like Him. Seble5457

Amen Elsie! And another purpose we serve is to be in constant prayer and praise. God 'sees' our prayers and is pleased.
We can never praise Him enough!
---NVBarbara on 8/16/05|
Actually life has very little meaning unless we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Once we have surrendered ALL to Him, we then have His promise of "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control"(Galations5:22-23). What a gift!! Thanks for the question, Blade!

This is a question that is asked in "Keach's Catechism." What is the ultimate end (or meaning) of man. To glorify God. That's what life is all about.
