--We were created in His image and likeness.
How could He just throw away his own image and likeness?
---Anonymous on 7/3/11

According to some... because He likes to watch us burn. Thts not exactly the God of love taught by most of Christianity though.

When you get down to the core of the message youll see that Jesus died for everyone, but not every man is humble enough to realize his need for the Savior. Some will deny the very Lord who bought them and fail miserably trying to enter Gods kingdom by their own goodness.

It can never be said that Gods loving hand wasnt extended to everyone.

We were created in His image and likeness.
How could He just throw away his own image and likeness?
---Anonymous on 7/3/11

God loves us so much because we are his creation. He created us just because he loved t create as he was the ultimate power. But it doesn,t mean that he created us to entertain him or for his amusement. If he really did so,then he would not really care about what type of a life we live on earth and leave us to satan. He did not do so and sent Jesus to die for sins only to make us free from satan and enjoy an eternal life in heavens as a holy creation of god along with all his other creations and angels who act as his servants and we all will praise his glory

God is not good because He does good things, God is Good because He is God! Similarly, God loves because He is God. It is God's nature to love.
---Janze on 6/28/09

God loves us b/c we are his children. He created us for the same reason we have children today. To watch us grow and to watch us learn. This delights, and glorifies him. Most importantly for us to love him back unconditionally as he loves us. God bless
---nicola5775 on 6/28/09

I have no idea, why God loves us,
Maybe its because were so two faced?,
Obama pushed a bunch of stuff that no one got to read(AGAIN)and passed it with over 40 Dems voting AGAINST his propoisel.

Man, IF this was pres. Bush doing this ppl would be freaking out on him, BUT it's ok for Barry Obama.

You pray for rain and then complain that you got to much...
America, get a fork, were done!

Just because we choose not to accept God's love does not mean that He does not love us. Just because He has punished the wicked does not mean that He does not love them. If we choose to say that we do not know Him (meaning, we do not accept that Jesus is God made flesh) then He will choose not to know us when the final judgement comes. He sacrificed His only Son. He bore the punishment for our sins because He loved us so much.
---Robert on 6/26/09

God loves us. All who have children understand that unconditional love for them. It is the same for God. How could God not love us?
---Katherine on 6/2/09

I have heard this question discussed many times. But in my own little opinion I believe the Lord loves us because he made us in his image. The rest of his creation was not made in his image. Mankind however has been made in his image. We are made of body, soul and spirit. Through Mr. Adams doings our spirits have fallen (lost our connection with the heavenly spirit) and therefore Almighty God sent his son to reunite us and endue us again with his spirit.
Let us take time this morning to say thank you Lord Jesus.

John 3:16 for God so Loved the world , all of us saint and sinner that he gave us his only Son so who ever belived in Him shall have have life. What a gift that Our Father has given to us, a world of fallen people that sly away from His love and hide in our sinfully nature. I pray Dear Father that it would not be to late to share the love that you have given thru Your Only Son JESUS. AMEN AMEN
---Dan on 5/2/09

If you are a mother or a father, you should have no problem answering this.
We all love our children, this is all it is. He loves his children!
With an all consuming love.
---TheSeg on 5/2/09

Maybe because we are HIS creation! He wanted us to live and share the rest of His world.(I think)
It's a good question. If you are not a parent....think of something you have created..a painting, a poem, a home, a garden....and how much of yourself you invested in it.

Of course, God went so much farther, giving
his own Son for us. That is beyond our understanding.

To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

God doesn't desire us to eternally abide in the fear of evil which has torment and knows that whosoever feareth is unable to be made Perfect in Love, which He desires of us.

God desires for us to Love Him with a Perfect Love that is without fear. There is no fear in God's Love and His Love will cast out all fears of evil........and since giving is receiving, this is why God Loves us!!
---Shawn_M.T. on 5/1/09

God loves us so much that He'll allow suffering in our lives so we will call on Him for help and salvation. He is not willing that any should perish but all come to repentance. That's love.

If you want to be saved and make it to heaven, God will do his part to make sure you get there and spend eternity in heaven.

What is 70 to 100 years we live on this earth compared to eternity? It's not even considered a drop in the biggest bucket.

God loves us even when we don't deserve it. Yet no sin can enter into heaven so we must allow the Lord to work in our lives and be obedient to Him and His Word regardless of the cost.

The least we can do is give Him our love back.

Why does God love Us?Why does a Mother love its child or children? For the same reason. Genesis1:26 "LET US MAKE MAN TO OUR IMAGE AND LIKENESS"we are Gods children. NEXT question- Have we strayed? Each one search your heart for the answer.
---Emcee on 3/30/08

a very good answer would be that since god is god he is able too do what we as people find very difficult to do ,and that is. HATE THE SIN NOT THE SINNER.

God loves you and He wants you back.

Unbelief in God is a heartache in heaven.
---Rachel on 3/30/08

Dory Lory, I was going to say basically the same thing, that it is because of Who He is, it's His very nature. God is love.
---christina on 3/28/08

Do you have children? I think that's why God loves us, we are like His children. The love I feel for my children is very powerful, I love them no matter what. I may not like them sometimes....but I will ALWAYS love them.
---sue on 3/28/08

Only God's people. We have been adopted into the family of God. This old clique that God loves the sinner but hates the sin, you cannot separate the two. Now, we are saints because we have excepted what Jesus did on the cross. We have been redeemned, we have been bought. Now we have peace with God. Sinners do not. You are alienated from God. God does not even know you. He does know your sins. "Depart from me ye workers of iniquity I never knew you".

God loves us so that we may glorify Him.
He loves us enough to send an earthly Son and then crucify Him for our sins. Our God is a God of Love and Hope. He has a purpose for us and gives us the option to follow or go the other way.
---chuck on 3/28/08

To be perfectly honest, I do not know what He sees in any of us. Not very many people loves Him. And the ones that He has chosen are not spending time with Him. God hates sin and I read sometimes differnt types of people that He hates. [It's in the word of God] You might want to check it out for yourselves, starting in Psalms. The Bible is filled with scriptures of, or, how, or what, God is going to do with the lost and the wicked.
---catherine on 4/7/07

Because God IS love (1 John 4:8 and also 4:16). It's His very character, His very being. He can't help but love because that's what He is. Apart from God, there is no love (1 John 4:7).
---DoryLory on 4/7/07

---karin on 2/12/06

God loves us because he IS love. That is his nature. He created us each unique and in his image. That is pretty special. He places great value on us. so much so that he gave his only son to die for our sins. Love gives.
---Tsuanne on 9/20/05

God's reality and His love is not easily understood with the natural mind. That's why we are encouraged to renew our minds to the truth in the word. His love is not based on performance, it's continual, and not fickle. If God is love, it may help see His love to read 1 Cor 13 and put God in place of love in those verses, (God is patient, God is kind, God is not envious, or puffed up...)

Do not be deluded, God does not love every body, only those who agree to follow him does he love, but all who choose to dis him he has wrath and he hates with perfect hatred. And he did not just make a heaven for everybody, but he made a very real everlasting firey hell for those who he hates. Please read Galatians 6:7; Psalms 11:5; 34:16; Hosea 9:15; Mark 11:15-17; Malachi 1:2,3; Romans 9:13; John 3:3,5,19-21,36; Revelation 14:9-11.
