Why do we give satan more power then he has? I mean we say satan made me do this or that. Isn't it sometimes just the flesh?

You underestimate the power of Satan. Sometimes we give him too little credit. Yes it may be the flesh, but sin opens the door to Satan's control, so it can also be Satan influeancing you.

Remember satan can't be in all places at all times, but his demons can ... still, all in all, isn't it time we take responsibility for our own mistakes and stop blaming others. The temptation is ours to refuse or accept.

Things happen for three reasons, One, because of us, two because of the enemy and third, because of God. It is up to us to find out why. We are the cause of so much, and we stumble. We sin because of things we still love that we don't let go. Many struggle for a long time and some for a short time. God does allow many things to happen to us to teach us and correct us. The devil has a different purpose, his intend it to distroy us. but remember that greater is He that is in us then he who is in the world.

the only power Satan has is what you give him. Alot of the things we go through we bring on ourselves with no help from satan. We just give him the credit for something he hasn't done.

All unregenerate flesh is under the power of Satan, but when your flesh is born-again and sanctified it doesn't sin, for then it is put under the power of Christ. You cannot serve sin and serve Christ at the sametime.

Satan brings temptation our way,to bring us down to where we wont be of any service to the Lord's work. he cant 'make' us sin, we choose to by being weak in the spirit. but keep in mind our nature is to sin. put on the whole armour.keep your minds renewed daily praise his name .

In the case of David, satan prompted him to count the army which ended up being pride on the part of David. God reprimanded David for his action. As far as I am concerned, it does not matter whether satan or our flesh urged us. If we sin against God, we bear the consequences. Blaming the source does not help. Since we are the ones who put things into action, we need to take responsibility for it. Not Satan, nor God.

The best lie that Satan ever convinced man of was that he doesn't exist.

However, lets not give him more credit than is due, its our inner self most times. I do believe we are often "set up" by his tricks and lies to us.
