I have had oil on my hands after worshipping many times now. This weekend I went to a Christian conference and there were about another 4 people with oil on there hands there too...

Michelle et al, do you get offended if I tell you that I don't believe your story?
---Paul2 on 2/5/09

This sounds like just another one of the lies and schemes those of the Word of Faith Movement have come up with.

Just another product for them to sell, and to make merchandise of you. Remember Jesus Himself, said they have turned the Temple from a place of Worship, into a Den of Thieves.
---Rob on 2/4/09

It's not in the bible, so don't worry about it! I don't believe God gives people gold teeth either!
---Bryan on 2/4/09

I saw oil on my wife's hands yesterday as she was cooking stir fry. Problem was solved when she wiped them with a cloth.

Galatians 2:16."Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST , even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. "

What do you think the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST is?

I believe THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST is to be found in Christ's behavior and His being made subject too His father wishes.

It is a very rare sign of the pouring out of the holy spirit in the healing hands works.I have experienced this more than 3 times in the ppast year. Some can find reasons to explain the oil but a true christian needs no explaination. The oil has appeared in my hands it does have a sweet smell..My hands will burn become hot while the rest of my body is cool. They will burn n drip of oil til whomever needs a healing is reached or touched.I would love to see the oil pour everyday but God dont work that way,,he gives you miracles things to show n tell others to bring them back in his flock and continue to show his presence
---michelle on 2/2/09

I found it
Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Christ talking
Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Is Christ in the world?

Maybe the (these things will be added on to you.) idea.
That not about miracle!
I do know if I see a miracle now this would be proof.
Killing my faith, faith can not be proven.

Yea, I've heard oil appears all the time on the mechanics hands down at Fred's Auto Repair.
If your hands are getting a lot of oil stick a wick in it, light it and make a candle. You will save on electricity.
Be careful and don't get burnt cause it sounds like someone could burn you real easy.

Last night in our church service, an 8 year old girl, who had prayed for someone, found that her hands were dripping with oil. The minister said it was a Sign that she has the gift of healing. Cupped in her small left palm there was about a tablespoon of oil that had pooled upward towards her wrist. Every time she wiped, it would come right back. She stood in the front of the church and we all saw it.
---Jean_B. on 6/7/08

There is no God given reason why you should get oil on your hands sweat maybe, stop running down the signs and allow the gifts of the spirit to follow believers not believer runing down FALSE SIGN's. A good start would be to display the fruits of the spirit, they pay spiritual dividends. Like love, peace, joy, temperance, patients,Longsuffering ect.
---Carla5754 on 12/31/07

Yes. I saw a preacher by the name of Salvador Garcia preach and then oil dripped from his hands for about 30 minutes. Also, Joshua Mills as well has had meetings where this begins to happen. Also some of the people in the congregation at Pastor Tito Caban's church in Camuy, PR has it all the time. There is also a lady preacher, I forget her name, who has this happen to her in PR as glass comes out of her eyes when she preaches and I believe oil from her Bible.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Gal.2:16, KJV)
......justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ.... (Gal.2:16, NIV)
---Andrea on 9/19/07

Scholars claim that "the most common distortion in the Church today of 'the doctrine of Grace' is in Christians attempting to make faith an action on our part, rather than humbly accepting that the faith we have is by the sovereign action of God. No one has faith of their own free will, faith comes by the divine will of God, through the gracious work of Christ.

"we are saved by the faith of Christ. (His faith)by Andre
The above is an awesome truth!!!!
Question, do you know what the "faith of Christ" is?
---mima on 9/19/07

You all are such a blessing, I so much enjoy reading these blogs. I feel God's Holy Power upon you guys. And even though we are in different places you are close in spirit. Hugs today.
---Whisper on 9/19/07

1) Wow guys...awesome stuff, thanks for sharing, I love to hear what God is doing, it's so exciting! I have been in churches lately where people have supernaturally lost weight during a service, gotten SOLID GOLD teeth, I've seen gold-dust appear, smelled the fragrance of the Lord and also seen the oil appear on the hands. God is on the move in Southern California!!! As someone previously said on this blog, I do not go around looking for signs and wonders,
---Holly4jc on 9/19/07

2) but I am always aware and open to God speaking to me. God does have a way of placing signs and wonders right in front of you in His way, His timing. God speaks in the most amazing ways, not just in a still-small voice. He has spoken to me through license plates no less!!! Just be in expectation of God speaking to you and He will...He is communicating with us ALL DAY LONG. And most of our day, we are not in a place where we can hear a still, small voice. Shout Hallelujah!!! :-)

Yep Andrea so did I.

Did you hear of the latest news in Puerto Rico. Over 1,200 gemstones fell from Heaven, and a rose smelling oil is consistently dripping from the ceiling they have put it into huge barrels, in the night an angel walked in and they have cut this huge foot print out of the carpet covered with gemstones. As for me, I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THE LOVE OF GOD, I only wish I had something to offer God in return, I have filthy clothes, I hardly feel like a BRIDE without spot or wrinkle.
---Whisper on 9/18/07

Amen, Whisper! Very well said.
We all need to walk by faith, not by sight.
I believe the Holy Spirt is pouring out in very unique ways. Praise God!

Andrea...very cool about the fire at your church.

yu know when Chris Angel walks through a wall, or floats off of the escalator, or performs many miracles by the witchcraft he is using people flock to him and accept him with open arms, but the moment God wants to pour out micacles on the church, Christians can't even handle even a bit of oil, SHAME ON YOU YOU DOUBTERS. Think again. You need to read about what God allowed Moses to do, The Bible clearly states that in the last days He will be giving us greater miracles,
---Whisper on 9/18/07

part 2....God said that in the last days greater miracles will be happening even moresoe than when Jesus was here, His HOLY WORD is not FALSE for you doubters out there, I think very soon you will be seeing more than oil happening, Do you remember? When Jesus Christ walked on the water? And then Peter got out of the boat and started to walk on the water also? FAITH happened....I beleive that it is HIGH TIME that the Christians...

Pt. 3 learn to have faith as a grain of mustard seed so that you can cast a mountain into the sea. Do not quench the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and then call it the devil, GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS ********HIS WONDERS TO PERFORM*********NOT satans. Get ready, to see more signs and wonders the church is changing on a level that will be UNRECOGNIZABLE in the future, I can promise.
---Whisper on 9/18/07

The church I attend (non-denominational pent) they talk about 10 years ago in the morning the fire department called. They wanted to know what had happened the evening before. The fire dept had three phone calls that the church was engulfed in flames. Well, it was pouring rain and the fire dept didn't even knock on the door but the neighbors all swore the place was on fire. Here they were having a late-night midweek prayer group.
Now its just part of the history of the church.

Pt. 1 Thank you for all of the kind reassuring words from most of you. I feel very blessed and humbled by the majesty of His power.
For the doubters: I attend a bible-based. life breathing non-denominational church. The church and doctrine is sound, beings it's all based on The Holy Bible. I live my life, to the best of my ability, by the 10 Commandments, the Fruit of the Spirit & I have a personal & intimate relationship with God. I am His servant.
---Carla on 9/17/07

Everything I do is by His strength, not my own, because I know without Him I am lost.
I concentrate on His Word daily along with study after study. I live to worship Him and spend time with Him. I DO NOT spend my time looking for "signs" as somebody suggested, nor will I now. I was just sharing an awesome experience that happened to me last week, and AGAIN I had never heard of this.
---Carla on 9/17/07

pt. 3
I believe God is who He say's He is
I believe God can do what He say's He can do
I believe I am who God say's I am
I believe I can do all things through Christ
God's Words are alive and active in me.
I believe God.

Please don't underestimate Him, not put Him in a box as somebody said. Have Faith...God certainly can & will do whatever He wants, whether you believe it or not.
---Carla on 9/17/07

pt. 4
Why would the Holy Spirit give you a special gift or blessing if you don't have faith that He can?
May God bless you all and please don't allow the evil one to cause you to doubt the strength of our God, The Great I AM, The Alpha Amega, The One who is & always will be.
Just because we don't understand something doesn't make it false, God is so big we can't even wrap our minds around it.
I tell you the truth.

Amen Andrea, preach it! You would be right at home with my prayer group in Texas. There is a church in Fort Worth that actually has video proof of oil found covering almost everything in their church. The preacher went to church one day and found it. He didn't ask for it, didn't seek it all. It was just there. I saw pictures of it- it amazed me. From what I saw, it looked like God did it too me. I would say- Praise the King! if I found it. Why not annoint the church - it's his!
---Michelle on 9/16/07

Carla - I love it when God manifests His presence. I think that when you get a physical (sight/sound/felt) presence of God He is definitely preparing us.
It's a confirmation of faith and a thing of beauty.
I'm hearing from more and more people about gold dust(God dust)
oil on hands

I don't know why but His word said
these signs shall 'accompany', next healing and power so I'd be looking for His signs to begin to accompany His word for revival
---Andrea on 9/16/07

Wow, I have heard about oil appearing in churches mysteriously but never on someone else's hands. Here's my thought- the oil is a representation of God's power. There is a sign to you that God has annointed your hands to do his service. The Lord wants you to be his hands- his servant.
---Michelle on 9/16/07

To those who doubt signs and wonders-
Why did Jesus do them in the new testament- it's the same reason he does them today. God doesn't change and let's not put God in a box. Why would Jesus put mud in a person's eyes? I mean, come on, that's weird. Why would Yahweh tell Namaan to bathe in the Jordan 7 times? God does all kinds of things we don't understand at the moment but we accept him for what he is.

People have said if it doesn't point to Christ than it's not real- well how can something that represents the power of God on your hands (which God uses to bring God's love and compassion to others) not point the way to Jesus? Come on church, let's see past religon and look to what God may be telling us?
---Michelle on 9/16/07

One more thing- God loves to lavish his love on us simply because we are his children. Everything he does for us point to his glory and I would certainly glorify God if oil appeared on my hands because I would know he is loving me and trying to communicate with me in his own way. God communicates with us in many ways, not just the Bible.
---Michelle on 9/16/07

Instead of concentrating on oil on our hands and other supernatural signs, why not concentrate on our day to day living - our love towards the family, friends and neighbors?

I don't believe in these "miracles" but I believe that I should observe His main Commandments: Love God and Love thy neighbor.
---Caring on 9/16/07

I have not heard of this until now. I do not understand what purpose it would have. God can do awesome things through prayer so why would he put oil on your hands? I agree with elder and those who say that if it does not clearly point to Jesus Chrise in some way, consider the church and its doctrine.

Pt 1:
I never heard of oil manifesting on hands before, nor gold flakes. I was in our sanctuary earlier this week praising & worshipping God. I never enter in to worshipping expecting anything from God...I'm not there for the experience. I am a lover of Christ not a user of Christ. I tell you the truth. I was on my knees, humbled before the Lord with my head down and my palms up.
---Carla on 9/15/07

Pt 2:
. I was filled with the Spirit & praising him with all my might. When I stood up, I raise my hands in praise when I felt something drizzle down my forearms. I was NOT sweaty & I just don't sweat like that anyways. I rubbed my fingers against my plams & it was an oily substance. It was between my fingers and all over my hands. I rushed home to show my husband, & he could see and feel it
---Carla on 9/15/07

Pt 4:
I know God. He can do what he wants to do. I'm not sure of the exact purpose yet, because He has not revealed it to me. I was pouring out to Him with all my heart, spirit & soul. Possibly He poured back to me a gift. Nobody can tell me the enemy did that. I was praising God in His house. There are references to miraculous signs & wonders sited in the bible. Are they are spelled out? NO.
---Carla on 9/15/07

Pt 5:
For those of you who have a personal relationship with God KNOWS...HE CAN DO AS HE PLEASES. I was actually shocked that there was a blog on this. Praise God there are others that have experienced it as well. What a true gift & blessing from the One we praise, exalt, worship & glorify.

I have heard of oil appearing on people's hands. If it happened to me I would rebuke it immediately in Jesus' name, and never go back to the church I was in. That is not of God.
---Helen_5378 on 7/11/07

Amen, Elder. Good, sound teaching.
If it brings confusion, leaves you wondering if it's really God, and it doesn't point to Christ; it's a set up.
---Rachel on 7/10/07

I totally agree with Elder we need to be mindful of the times we are living in and understand that when we say these things are from God without Gods purpose being fulfiled we are actually lying against his name and this is not a game we are playing, these movements are false doctrines/signs, we have all the signs we need written in the Old/New Testament.
---Carla5754 on 7/21/06

Rose oil on the hands, now.

I will say the same thing about this I will say about any sign or wonder:

1. What doctrine comes with it?

2. What is the fruit of the sign in the life of the people involved?

Do hands that exude rose oil confirm faith in Jesus Christ God-Incarnate, risen from the dead? Do they result in greater striving for holiness and prayer?

Or do they encourage people to seek after more signs?

I don't believe on oil appearing on one's hands! Body lotion, the one we used with our hands, when mixed with sweat can be mistakenly taken as oil appearing on one's hands.
---Raine on 7/20/06

No I have not seen oil appearing on people's hands, but if I did I would run from it. That is not of God. The devil is making it even more appealing by making it smell like roses. Come on --- wake up church.

Stacy, since you have seen it, heard of it and now experienced this rose oil on your hands while "worshipping" the Lord how about showing us the example listed in the Bible and what version it's in?
Which would God have us to do, lead another to Christ or watch oil appearing on our hands?
We need to worry about the blood that is going to be on our hands while playing these games while people are dying without Christ.

Manifestation and Possession is two different things.
Satan is an exhibitionist. He likes to be seen and worshiped. He would give the whole world to be worshiped. You could follow his plan and have what ever you wanted for a while. He doesn't have a retirement plan though.
If it takes gold dust or oil on your hands to get you off the correct path of God then you shall have that.
No where in the Bible does it hint of any such acitivity as this. So let God be true and everything else a liar.
---Elder on 10/15/05

Sickness, bondage, etc is of the devil. People accused Jesus of being of the devil when he cast out demonic spirits. He asked them how satan can cast out satan. (Matthew 12:22-30.) If the manifistation of oil on your hands is satan, then I guess he is working against himself. He is, after all, pretty stupid.

Elder you came back! I thought you must have been so disgusted with us that you left us for good! :) Karin's post was very good ... excellent in fact! But so was Darlene's of 9/20/05! :)

I love the way Christianity can be both simple and complex at the same time. We don't have to all believe exactly alike and yet we remain brothers and sisters in the Lord. I truly appreciate your opinion and the interesting discussion we shared in this Blog! Bless you, Brother!
---DoryLory on 10/14/05

Someday people will realize that God guides us by His Word. That is why it is written. Next they will realize that God works within the borders of His Word. My experiences do not prove the Bible. The Bible tests and proves my experiences if they are from God. Gold means nothing to God. In Hell a man would trade all of his gold for a drink of water. Why would God give His people something of no value to Him? Karin on 9/20/05 said it all.
---Elder on 10/14/05

Elder, I said, I know what God does is never fake.I've said many times things must line up with the Written Word of God,but what you think is in the Written Word ,and what I see in the Word don't agree. When denominational thelogy tries to measure everyones service to God by their beliefs it doesn't work.God moves through people on a personal level. No one is anointed in a way they don't even believe in.When God moves through His people it is faith and prayer that moves Him.How He moves is up to Him.

Karin, do you actually believe that my attention has been drawn away from Jesus to Satan? I'm surprised because your personal email certainly suggested otherwise.

My experience has been that it has the opposite effect. Non-believers hear about these unusual manifestations, come to church to see for themselves, and are drawn to the Lord by the overwhelming sense of His presence. Compared to basking in His presense & the sense of His love, the gold or other manifestations, become inconsequential.
---DoryLory on 9/20/05

God,says in Mark16: 17& 18.which signs will follow those who believe...Oil and gold manifestations are NOT included.Oil of Holy Spirit is WITHIN me."The fear of the Lord is more desired than gold"(Ps 19 .9/10).... "My FRUIT is better than gold, yea , than fine gold"(Prov.8;19).Be aware that Satan is also going about with signs and wonders to deceive the very elect(Matthew 24;24)..We need to be on guard...Satan's aim is to take our focus OFF Jesus...This is not from God..
---Karin on 9/20/05

Elder - "when we seek signs"??? How dumb would that be? Jesus told those seeking signs that they wouldn't be given one. We come together SEEKING GOD and He manifests Himself *IF* and *AS* He pleases.

The rainbow has no purpose other than what it symbolizes. I said earlier that to understand signs, you need to understand Biblical symbolism. "Gold" symbolizes God's glory (which is His presence - no room to expound - makes a very interesting Bible study).
---DoryLory on 9/19/05

I have no idea why you would think people are not getting saved in these meetings. That hasn't been what I've witnessed at all!!

A few flakes of gold or oil on someone's hands isn't life changing. It's God's Presence that makes the difference! That's what we seek after and the signs follow (sometimes ... not always). Check out Mark 16:20 and Hebrews 2:3,4 signs and wonders, miracles and manifestations of the Spirit are supposed to be a normal occurence following the preaching of the Word.

Eph 5:19 speaks of songs in our hearts.
My question remains the same and no one has addressed it yet.
If the activity is not in the Bible how do we know it is true?
This is why the $500.00 was offered by CN Staff concerning the special appearing of Gold Dust. Their money is still in the bank.
---Elder on 9/19/05

2.The Bible doesn't tell me God will give me a song and tune which I sing as He gives it, without knowing it before hand. The Bible didn't tell me there is such a thing as prophetic prayer, where I can pray for a sranger and hit their needs right on-the-head, and only God could use me to do that.I don't know about the oil,but I know about the nature of God's mighty works, and I know I don't have to be afraid of what He does being fake because I trust God to lead me. Caution is wise.Try the Spirit.Obey God.
---Darlene_1 on 9/19/05

1. DoryLory in Psm 78 and 106 it is plain the signs were from God. When God gave a rainbow there was NO confusion as to what it was and why. Even though some didn't and still don't understand it Scripture revealed it. It is plainly revealed in Scripture as to what it is/was and for what purpose.
Read Psm 126 and see where Gods Word fits in.
When we seek signs and forget the guidance of Scripture we receive confusion.
Cond #2-->

Cond #2-->
The Bible says sinners seek signs. We live by Faith under the guidance of Scripture. Any thing else is adding to the Word with condemnation to follow.
Gold dust and now oil on the hands...for what purpose?
Feeling good but never leading someone to Christ...what is the purpose?
You have no Scripture for this activity and Satan can perform miracles and healing so how do you tell the difference?
---Elder on 9/18/05

Elder - Throughout the Bible, people have struggled to understand signs and wonders. Psalm 78:32 and Psalm 106:7 are two of several verses revealing this.

Signs and wonders don't involve instruction or direction or anything on which to base doctrine. They are simply a matter of God revealing His love and His power to His children. An O.T. example of a sign would be the rainbow (Genesis 9:1217).
---DoryLory on 9/17/05

DoryLory, you said, "These kinds of signs aren't relevant to Biblical revelation," Then the thing is NOT of God.
It is like me saying that God has told me to tell you to send all of your money to my wife so He can bless you. Your reaction to extra Biblical revelation should be the same.
Should I be looking for a money order or getting a reality check? If you have no Scripture you have no fact from God. Satan performs signs and wonders also. How do you tell them apart?

Moderator - Are we to believe that if someone sent you a few flakes of gold dust, you wouldn't doubt it's source?

Your response reminded me of Acts 8:18-22 which tells the story of Simon who wanted to buy the anointing from Peter. Anyone who's thirsty for the anointing needs to go where it's flowing. God gives freely, it doesn't cost a thing (Isaiah 55:1).

Moderator - I would use that as a point to investigate further. Shame on you for your second comment; doesn't sound like that was Holy Spirit lead.
