Created By Gas In The Atmosphere

My husband believes in Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Last night I discovered he thinks the Bible is Mythical and we were created by gasses in the atmosphere?! We have 4 kids altogether. How do we explain how church teaches us the bible is God's word but Daddy thinks they are all fairy tales?

Chrismeana::I agree with Rulal cafe The saying "you are full of Hot air" is true and synonomus with Gas which comes from within.I dont wish to be offensive but Daddy is under delusions needs help, and its Not gastric. You will have to agree to disagree.Just Pray ,God will answer, He spoke in parables but there were no faries Teach your children what is right.

I think your husband is lying. How can you belive in the trinity and not in the bible? I think he is feeding you a lot of lies. Maybe to appease you? Are you religious and he is not? He seems to be contradicting himself and you readily believe or want to believe he is a Christian person. We want to see what we want to see. I suggest you look a bit closer at your husband and see if he is all that he says he is...

Chrismeana, I believe that before you would tackle any Bible teaching with your children, you have to settle yet with your husband any difference in belief and understanding regarding God and His teachings. I have seen couples having different religions settle the issue on how to bring their children up. When the children were younger, the children were brought by their mother to the mother's church and the teachings they followed were those of the mother.

Laughing gas in the atmosphere has caused hysteria in cattle.

Tell Daddy, if he has more gas than Conoco, this could fog the brain.

His theory of gases cannot be proven. Those gases must have an origin and if you go down the line, you would realize that there must be an origin of all things, and this origin would best have no begining, and this is GOD.This is a better theory(some would call it)to beleieve than the theory of gases or apes.I used to be in your husband's position until God saved me.GOD will help your children, concentrate on nuturing them and avoid argumnets on this matter where your children are until they imbibe the truth.

Daily lift your husband & children up in prayer before the Lord. Only God can deliver your husband from spiritual blindness & a hardened-heart. Pray your children won't be confused or discouraged by their father's unbelief & will eagerly seek to discover God's Truth (in the Bible) for themselves. Be encouraged, i.e., you can win your husband to the Lord by your Christ-like conduct. (Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 3:1)

How can anyone believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost without believing the bible. It is obvious he hasn't studied or read the bible. It all fits together like a glove and man is not capable of writing such a book without inspiration from God. That is why it is the best selling book of all times. Books of myth do not sell. think about that one.

Just explain daddy's theory is full of hot air.

so why arent those same gases making other people now? or was it just a "special" one and it dont exist no more? my sister's husband said we came from apes and she said, why don't apes turn into people now,he said , that was just one time( yeah ok..cough) your husband is denying Christ's existence . (he gave us all a measure of faith Romans 12:3) you can tell him you know Jesus exist ( hence his word isnt a myth) cause you discovered it when he walked into your soul.

What does, "Daddy" base his findings on? What the Bible teaches is "Who" did the creating, not "How". (The exception being "man", who was created from dust. While we know that Eve was created from Adam's rib - we don't know the details of "how".) There is no proff given by science about the "how", only suppositions and theory - not facts! So my question again is, where does "daddy" get his facts? Ask him!

Your question is somewhat mixed can a person believe in Father ,Son and Holy Ghost and not believe in the Bible??
It is the Bible that teaches us about the Trinity....and to be honest IMO if a person doesn`t believe in all four(Father,Son,Holy Ghost and Bible)then they don`t REALLY believe in any of them(they go hand in hand).

(Cont.)When the children were older, they were made to choose which religion would they follow. But yours is a different case. Your husband believes in God but considers the Bible a myth. You have to settle with him "gently" your difference in belief. I say "gently" because there are men who believes that they have the monopoly of knowledge and understanding of what is right and what is wrong. Be careful! Coming on too strongly with your belief may change the issue altogether.
