I Feel Sin In My Life More Often

I've been a Christian for more than ten years. When I was a young Christian, I sin less, but, as I grow in the knowledge of God's grace, I am beginning to be desperate. I can see how sinful I am. The more I abhor sin, the frequent I fall into it. As a Christian, is it really normal to feel this way?

The whole thing is, as christians, we grow closer to God in our daily lives. The closer we come to God, who is light, the more our sin shines through, so, we may "actually" be sinning less, but the sin we see causes us greater grief, realizing the magnitude of our offenses toward Christ. If it bothers you to sin, PRAISE GOD, if you weren't saved, you wouldn't care.

*Pride of any kind God abhors.*

Amen Sister. God taught me why he despises it. Anything you are able to do comes from God. If you are great at writing, sports, music etc. God hates those who love themselves for it because these gifts come from God alone. True Pride isn't thinking you are better than anyone else. True pride boils down to giving credit to yourself for what you can do or for what you have.

The answer is YES. And lorra, I loved your answer. The closer that you walk with God the more He will cause you to acknowledge your wretched self. The more we need Him. I will say one more thing to all true Believers. God is a God who hates Pride of any kind. I shall say it one more time. Pride of any kind God abhors.

Congratulations on your maturity in your walk with the Lord. The closer you get the more sinful you will see yourself. It is for this reason that will we will spend all eternity praising the Lord Jesus Christ for what he has done. Glory to the name all the Lord.

It is possible to get too scrupulous; however, it is true that the closer you are to God the more aware you are of what sin is. It can be a pain, but it is a good thing. Now more than ever it is important to keep yourself close to God, repent of your sins and strive to avoid future sins.

I have and am experiencing what you are going through and it seems sometimes that I am under spiritual attack. But I have also learned that God will not allow more than I can bear so long as I remain with Him.

Before you were saved you would not have given sin a thought. Now the Holy Spirit is letting you know through your conscience that you have sinned. As Christians we must we aware of Satan's scheming so that we don't fall into sin but none of us are totally without sin. Being aware of it when you do it is good. You'd have more to be worried about if sin didn't bother you. Hand them over to God, ask for forgiveness and put right any that you are able to.

Sometimes you can be in sin and not know it. As God works in your life, he deals with the sin in your life, and you become more aware of past sins through the conviction of the Holy Spirit. It could be that you are just more aware of your sins, not that you are actually sinning more than you used to. See once we were dead in sin, and we didn't know it, but God revealed our sin, and Jesus paid the price for it! There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal things in your life you need to change. God who has begun a good work in you will continue it until that day when Jesus comes again. God is always disciplining us, just as a human father who loves his children does.

Maybe do to the fact that you are learnig more about the Lord you are also being made more aware of what is sin and isn't. I mean back then you didn't think certain things where bad to do or maybe they didn't seem like a sin but as you grew in your walk with the Lord sins where revealed to you. Like relationships as you grow nearere to your mate you learn more and more what things you do that upset them. God is opening your eyes daily and perfecting you.
