"Get Saved By Something Clicking" > I can see it, now > there's a big crowd in an auditorium, and someone's fingers pinch a clicker, and at the sound of this "anointed" clicking people get saved. Whew!!! You had me worried. At least, THIS isn't what you meant (o:

None of us can presume to know if this person is saved, only God would know that.
But false doctrines will tell you that you are Once saved always saved, predestined from the beginning with eternal security (Calvinism, hyper-Calvinism) every form of Calvin - but the truth of the matter - are you really saved?
The exact day is not important, but there will be fruit, evidence.

Insightful question, and the answer is YES!! After several years of witnessing I began to ask people (after praying a sinner's prayer with them) please tell me. Do you feel any thing down deep in your gut. And the vast majority say yes. Recently a teacher I was witnessing answered, Oh my goodness I really do feel something. How do you know? I know because many people described feelings in their gut to me before I ever started asking.

Heard this testimony before on the blogs, something "clicked", connected, witnessed in their spirit man, Christianity made sense.
They can't remember the day that they were saved, but Jesus Christ made sense to them.
I've read that testimony.

I don't know if they made a public confession of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but they should. It's affirming Jesus Christ for the world, not ashamed of the Gospel, not ashamed of the Holy Spirit, greatest decision of your life.

I have never heard of someone being saved by something clicking. Does his life reflect Jesus Christ? Is he a light set on a hill shining? I believe when someone is saved, they feel different, act different and are different.

If by, "Something just clicked." he means that he came to the realization that Jesus is the Son of God and that his sacrifice was the complete payment for his sin and upon realizing that he embraced that truth, yes that can be right. Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 10:44, "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word."

Hello Natasha, God deals with people on a personal level based on his plan. An example: When I ask someone if they remember their first encounter with the Holy spirit they usually have no idea what I am talking about, and I have only met one other person to admit encountering death angels, yes ,both do exist on earth, some witness, some don't.

Something did "click" when I was born again. The "light" turned on inside me!

Usually nothing obvious happens. It's the process of a changed life in Christ over time.

Alan's right, we don't all get outwardly theatrical (or any other word you want to use for it) when we get saved. It's a uniquely individual experience to us all.
---Heather on 10/20/05

Perhaps it was that "still small voice of calm"
We don't all get "converted" (the old term for "saved") in theatrical ways

thank you very much for answers. i met with him again and he goes to church, reads christian books, listens to gospel music.. i agree with the comment that it was maybe just a terrible testimony.. time will tell i suppose. if its an act he wont be able to keep it up :)

I was at work reading my Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:10, "But by the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but, I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I but the grace of God which was with me." Yeah, sorta like a click ... I immediately knew Jesus was in my heart, for real this time! I knew I was saved!

You need more details than that. Does he mean something clicked after he was saved, or something clicked (in other words made sense for the first time) that made him understand that Jesus is the only way to salvation? Until you get more details you (or we, in which case) can't say "that's not right" or "there's no possible way..."

Really ... is it for us to judge whether he is saved? & surely it is not for us to judge that he is not saved?

You don't get saved or know your saved by something that just clicked. That was a terrible testimony. Maybe something clicked in his spirit and he knew he was saved but he should have told you that Jesus is changing his life. He may be saved but by his testimony, who knows?

no it cant be right
