i know how you feel. people can be cold, self centered and uncaring. even christians, even pastors. the good news is that Jesus experienced the same thing and when you are hurt, He feels it. remember that when one is born again Jesus is with them all the time

A prayer.
Dear Father in heaven, holy is your name. Search Nock's heart and reveal to him what is troubling him so that he may do what is necessary to eliminate that devilish feeling. Show him that contentment and your grace brings peace to the heart. Also, reveal that the fourth commandment is needed in his very hectic lifestyle. In Jesus' name.

Words of Comfort: Psalms32, Psalms 42, Psalms139, 2Cor4, 2Cor11.

Usally people who are introverts feel alone in a crowd. Extraverts feel more alive in a crowd and are better able to cope. Both extraverts and introverts can feel the way you feel. However it is more likly for an introvert to feel the way you feel. I suggest that you find a network of other believers who will help you strengthen your ties to Christ. The loneliness will fade, Gods Promise.

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high

And don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of the storm there's a golden sky

And the sweet, silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain,

Though your dreams be tossed and blown.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,

And you'll never walk alone.

You'll never walk alone.You'll ne-ever walk alone.

You are NEVER alone if you carry God in your heart. I used to feel lonely all the time as well. Then I got deeper into God's word and even kept little bible cards in my pockets to pull out and read wherever I was. Now I do not feel alone anymore.
God said he would never leave us or forsake us. Therefore we can not be alone.
Take him with you everyday, heis a best friend that sticks closer than a brother.

I agree with Nan. Unnatural lonliness can be a symptom of depression. Also, I believe a spirit of rejection can affect people this way.

Nock: Where are you?
---Leon on 10/28/05

You could be suffering from depression. Check with your doctor, he/she can do tests to see if you have chemical imbalance. Also would advise helping others---visit nursing homes, volunteer at local humane shelter, etc. When helping others, you don't dwell on your loneliness. Admitting you have a problem is 90% of solving it. God bless you.
