Why Does God Give Us A Choice

The Bible says that God knew us before we were conceived. He knows also what we are gonna do before we do it. Does that mean He knows who will make it to heaven and who won't? If so why does He let the ones who won't make it even be born. Why doesn't he just send them to hell and get it over with?

CHOICE:: We all have it & call it God Given.I ask, would you force your love & attention on a lady/Man who has his/her affection diverted elsewhere? God made us to know love & serve Him on this earth & spend eternity with Him in the next.Would He WANT you, if you did not want Him. THAT IS CHOICE.

William, are you serious? I agree we are foolish compared to God and His plan, but still I think that is the only way to learn about it: to question it.

"The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
Proverbs 16:4. There is a divine purpose for everyone who lives. Our wisdom on this subject is foolishness to God, and like Job we should not question his divine plan.

Gavin_Bueno: Wow! Where did that doctrine come from? How can you believe in God and not care where you spend Eternity? Or do you believe in Eternal life? And just believing in God is not good enough. We must be willing to live for Christ. This is a daily journey. We must change and become new creatures, walking in holiness and newness of life. I care where I am going after I die. I am looking for Jesus to take me to Heaven and spend eternity with Him in Paradise.

In the beginning this was a perfect world for us(God's creation) there was no Hell. Heaven was right here on earth. Through Adam and the Fall sin came in and destroyed our perfect world. Now we have to choose to continue in sin or choose to follow Jesus. Another plan was set in motion after Adam chose to disobey. No one knows the complete mind of God. There are mysteries that God shares with no one. Some things we will not know the answer to until eternity. This is where faith and trust comes in.

Even if there were no sin or no hell, knowing Jesus would still be the best thing that could happen to anyone.

Gavin I think it was Billy Sunday who was talking to an atheist who insisted he didn't believe in hell. Billy replied- you won't be there 5 minutes before you change your mind.

Have a read of the Bible & I think you will also change your mind & decide heaven is by far the best option for a living eternity.

Then talk to Jesus about it!

con't. Many people say they believe and are saved, but Jesus said himself, "Many draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me." Why? Simple. they choose to indulge the world and shun simple truths that Jesus Christ taught us in the bible. Many are so caught up with proving others wrong that they never consider they are deceived themselves by the lies of man. the ways of the world are death. obeying God is life everlasting. you choose.

4.God did have a plan and what He did He did for His pleasure and glory. He was not moved by anyone or anything to do what He did. All through Scripture we are told He chose someone, some nation, and not another. He is sovereign and ruler on the throne. That He has mercy on us, who didn't deserve mercy is because of His love. No where in Scripture does it teach that He waits for us to accomplish His plan. If it did, He would not be Omniscience. He would be the clay and we would be the potter.

3. emphasizes the doctrine of election throughout Scripture (Det. 7:6; Is. 45:4; John 6:44; Acts 13:48; Romans 8:29; 9:11; 1 Thess. 1:3,4; 2 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 2:10;)The form of the Greek verb behind "chose" indicates that God not only chose by Himself but for Himself to the praise of His own glory (vv6,12,14). God's election or predestination does not operate apart from or nullify man's responsibility to believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior (Matt. 3:1,2; 4:17; John 5:40).

2. If you read Eph. from the beginning of chapter 1, you can see that Paul is talking to the saints that are loyal to Christ Jesus. In verse 4-14, "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to THE GOOD PLEASURE OF HIS WILL," The reason given is, the pleasure of His will. When He says, He chose us, we can see that God

I believe people think that the elect or saved already but they are not. They still have to come to Christ. The renmant has already been chosen. God knows who they are and who will reject Him. If He didn't He would not be Omniscience. God being infinite, is able to be aware of all things, to understand all things, and to comprehend all things. He never learns anything or acquires new knowledge. The future as well as the past and present are completely known by Him. He is surprised by nothing.

God the Father has a plan for all who were not reprobate conceptions. The Elect must renounce their rebellious state of Free Will and accept the Grace that Christ offers us to be adopted children of the Father and share in the inheritance with Christ. The plan for each member of the Elect was Predestined from the beginning of time; but we have to chose to accept the offering of Grace, renounce Free Will and execute the planed that the Father has established for us.

We have free will to obey or disobey, else we would be irrational robots. God does not interfere with our free choice to turn to him and be saved, and he also changes his mind and interacts with us when we pray. You see the world is cursed already, but God desires all to turn from damnation and back to him and be saved. Thus plays out the drama, who will we finally follow? God, or our selves? But eventually God does cut the time short, and he returns before his planned time, else no flesh would be saved.

I think that God gives us the chance to make the right choices. Even though He knows every heart - each person still has a personal void to deal with. It is their choice.

God does not send anyone to hell. Man sends his own self to hell. I don't understand the mind of God or why He does certain things, but I do know He gives us a choice to serve him or the devil.
