If I can afford it around Thanksgiving, I plan on making a pie I saw on a gift bag I bought: Deep-dish apple blackberry!! :P If anyone wants this recipe, just ask and I'll try and write it out for the blog, it sounds like Heaven--and definitely something different! :)

Donna & NurseRobert Thanks! But we don't have Graham crackers here!

However my research on the web has told me that they are a bit like what we call Digestive biscuits.

And that makes yourGraham Crust much like what I use when making my Lemon Cheesecake, except that instead of using just Digestive Biscuits, I use half digestives and half ginger nuts (ginger bisduits)

Alan-- A "graham cracker", you might call it "graham biscuit," is a mildly sweet snack made largely of whole wheat flour. I comes in flat rectangles. Many American deeserts use them, crushed and packed down, underneath some rather rich, sweet concoction.

Graham cracker crust for a 9-inch pie or cheesecake.
1. In a small saucepan or the microwave, melt 6 tablespoons of butter.
2. Place about 24 graham crackers in a plastic bag. Roll with a rolling pin until finely crushed. This may be done in small batches.
3. Measure 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs into a medium bowl.
4. Add 1/4 cup of sugar to the graham crackers.
5. Add the melted butter.
6. Stir or blend together with your hands.
7. Press into the pie plate or other pan.
8. To pre-bake the pie crust, bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree F. oven.

1. Add a little cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice to the crumbs for a spiced flavor.

I have one, I bet you have never heard of... "Cushaw Pie", you put the same ingredients in it that you would for a pumkin pie, ( plus homemade crust) you will never want to eat pumpkin pie again after you eat this. its like pumpkin but without the strings.

I have a Thanksgiving recipe but it's not ready yet. You see the truck is broke down and so there goes my hunting weapon, for awhile.

If you like pumpkin pie with cool whip and cheese cake, Try the pumpkin cheesecake rescipe by Philedelphia Cream Cheese. It is so good, you don't need any cool whip to go with it!
