You shouldn't accept false teaching. If you're unaware of it then find the truth, stay away from false teachings because oyu are responsible after you know the truth for anything you teach to others.

Just because someone has different viewpoints on certain Scriptures and how they apply doesn't mean I won't listen to them. I've heard great messages from all different faiths. But don't believe everything any one says.I think everyone has taught something that was false. I'm glad God has more forgiveness than most people.

Pray that the scales be removed from their eyes.. and that there spirit will bare witness to the truth.

Ulrika; If a day with the Lord is as a thousand yrs.,and Adam lived 930, did he not die within that "day?" Gen 5.5
---1st_cliff on 12/21/05

1st Cliff, immortal - living or lasting forever.
The spirit is immortal, when a person is born again. John 3:3-8 We die physically. Our bodies are mortal until we are changed. 1Corinthians 15:50-55
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thow shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eat there of thow shalt surely die.
What kind of death? I think he died spiritually.
Please read 1Corinthians 15:12-23, 2Timothy 1:10.

Jerry, who do you have in mind and what false doctrines do you think they teach?
---mke6553 on 12/20/05

Ulrika; There is a difference in how you and I perceive things. Gen. 5.5 says "Altogether Adam lived 930 years and THEN he died!" There's no mention in Gen. of a spiritual death,is there? He was not created "immortal" else he could not have died. He was created with the prospect of living forever (which is different) and had he not sinned would still be alive!Right? This is what he lost for us and all mankind( Jesus bought it back for us)A perfect life for a perfect life!

1st.Cliff 2Timothy 1:10

Adam was created imortal, but died spirturally when he sinned. We are born mortal, but our when we are reborn or born again our spirt and soul are given eternal life. The soul of the saved may be left behind until Christ comes to take both the living and dead out. That is how I understand it.

The bigger question is, who is the 'correct' teacher, who has the authority to speak and administer in his name?
---len_K on 12/18/05

How many actually know if a teaching is false?? They will say glibbly that we have an "immortal soul" yet nowhere in the 66 books does it say "immortal soul" even tho soul is mentioned over 800 times! Who are the false teachers???

These verses were used in another blog, and seem to fit this one. 1Timothy 6:3-5

I found the verses in the False Teachers Bible Quiz, that talks about contrary doctrine. Romans 16;17,18
---Ulrika on 12/18/05

It's because the false teacher brainwashes them, usually the false teacher is telling the listener all that the listener wants to hear. When a member leaves a false cult, many times that member has to be deprogrammed from their delusions. The false teachings are similar to a drug addiction, and the believers of them have fear of letting the false beliefs go.

John, I am sorry, my comment did not match the verse. I should have put a space between, to show my comment and the verse were two different answers. I certainly do not want to be a false teacher.

Galations 1:9
2John 7-11
---Ulrika on 12/17/05

2Timothy 2:15-18 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Corinthians 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in crafteness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Most Christian preachers are false teachers in one way or another, but don't know it. Should we hold that against them?

I followed a false dst of doctrines and false teachers for 15 years, and then I left the RCC.

Ulrika.llPeter 2:12 does not say that all people who teach contrary to Scripture are false teachers. It says that those who teach damnable heresies and deny the Lord are false. So, does that make you a false teacher now? If every one who ever taught something wrong was a false teacher we would probably all be one too. Lets give people the right to learn and make a few mistakes along the way. Mercy is more precious to the Lord than judgement.
---john on 12/16/05

A false teacher is anyone who teach contrary to scripture.
2Peter 2:12 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and being upon themselves swift destruction.
---Ulrika on 12/16/05

Steve, are you the one who has written the "Who Is" blogs? Therefore, are you this false teacher that you are talking about? Just curious. I don't listen to false teachers. I listen to God and what He tells me. Before I listen to any pastor or teacher, I pray about it.

In their eyes the person they are listening to aren't false. To me a person has to seek God in order to see if someone is false or a real child of God. The word says you will know them by their fruit.
