Ruben: I'm refering to the larger organized religions of the world and not small nondenominational groups. Remember, Jesus said, where two or three are gathered in my name...Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Chipper:: Your conception of Masses of people is different than that of The saviour who said "Come to me ALL who are laboured, burdened, I will refresh you"Is that your concept of the masses of people.Catholic=Universal,it has nothing to do with Roads.Jesus idea OF ALL is everyone those who want to seek Him HIS WAY.HIS invitation to heaven is for allbut few will find it as they want salvation their way not His way look around you, see the ideoligies but the Rcc is one universal-HIS way.

The name Mariam itself means rebellion and murmuring. When the Israelites complained in the wilderness wanting water and Egyptian food, it was called the waters of "meribah". They provoked God to judgment so that their carcases lay waste in the wilderness and they did not enter into his promised land, except for the young.
---Eloy on 7/31/07

Chipper. The Bible says the number of redeemed people is inumerable, as the sand of the sea. Ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands. The verse you quote about the narrow and broad roads do not say heaven or hell, they say life or destruction. Jesus came to give abundant life to those who believe and few people are finding that but most are finding destructive, popular ways of the world. The fact that the RC church is large has no bearing on whether they are right or wrong.
---john on 7/31/07

Chipper-It's the broad way that leads to destruction. Think about it Emcee. The catholic church is one of the largest in the world.

So if I join John Doe church down the street which has maybe 40 to 50 people, I am going to heaven.
---Ruben on 7/31/07

Mary was treated graciously by God. But was told by the angel that she was blessed among women. It was Jesus who was full of grace.
---jody on 7/31/07

Emcee and other C's and RCC's:
Jesus never said it would be the masses that would be coming to Him. In fact He said just the opposite in Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Proportionately speaking, there is only going to be a faithful few that will make it.
It's the broad way that leads to destruction. Think about it Emcee. The catholic church is one of the largest in the world.
---Chipper on 7/31/07

Emcee and other C's and RCC's:

The RCC is full of idolatry and lies.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Jesus Christ can set you free from that bondage, fear, and intimidation.

all generations will call her Blessed!
Therefore she is and always will be known as the Blessed Mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
Being perfect, Jesus followed all the commandments ,which included Honoring His Mother. Mary is not nothing, she has a huge place in the history of Jesus the salvation of the world!
---Lisa on 7/31/07

Emcee and other C's and RCC's:
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
"and her seed" as in many offspring ... meaning "the true church".
verse 16, in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children,
Have you ever noticed how few people are actually coming to the truth of the Bible.
The true church of Christ is not birthing many these days.

Mary is not full of anything. She is dead.
---Helen_5378 on 7/31/07

Former Catholic, I could not have said it any better. There is much attention to Mary in the Catholic Church. It's really a dead religion that lies to their own people. I know, I also was a Catholic and active in the church until the Holy Spirit revealed the real Jesus to my soul. I have not been the same since. Now I have a true purpose in life and when I look back I can see the growth that God has done in me through Jesus. God bless.

Frm Catholic::" she would agree if she could" SHE DOES- inspite of the opposition of apostates, satan & his cohorts, those who volunteer & those employed. She continues to point the way to her saviour the door to salvation. He is the narrow door & few there are who will find it ,as seen from the opposition to her on these posts on numerous blogs. Her ship braves the seas of your wrath.Holy Mary Mother of God Pray for us Sinners NOW & at the hour of our death.AMEN.
---Emcee on 7/30/07

Chipper:: Reminder Gen3:15Action of Almighty God :it is through Mary that we get Jesus, God decreed this.He also said I will separate(put enmity) between her seed & your seed.therefore He joins Mary & Jesus for the BEHEFIT of Humanity--was satan happy with this?" & the following "she shall crush your head & you will lie in wait for her heel" which part of this prophecy applies to you & me? Any constructive Rebuttal.

What does Mary full of grace have to do with anyone's salvation or walk with God. Mary has passed on. Time is short. Get your focus off of Mary (she would agree if she could), and on to Christ. He is the "Door".

---Chipper on 6/18/07

Twilight, if you would read the Bible you would know why Christians want to reveal the things that go against the word of God. If you were a Christian you wouldn't call scriptural responses and an attempt to reveal heresy "crapolla." You might even think about those who may be reading and trying to decide if Catholicism is real Christianity. Maybe those who wish to be saved and want to know the truth.
---Frank on 6/13/07

I'm Luthuran and you people who continually knock down the Catholic faith is soooo un-christian it's pathetic with your crappola about popes being gentiles and the rest of your crap like Mary is dead, people are going to hell because they pray to Mary. Helen ... Yes it is about how people react to this kined of question.
Sadly the first response is no longer shown, but my recollection is that it was an anti-Catholic attack, and I bekleive that was the motive for the question being asked in the first place.
---alan_of_UK on 6/12/07

AlanofUK - Don't you think also that it is the way people react to these type of questions? I have found time and time again that when the truth is portrayed it is called down as bashing. People don't like the truth being told because it highlights their own errors.

Emcee To be fair to Helen, what she said was "What is wrong is pointing an accusing finger at another"
And she is quite right.
She did not ask "What is wrong with pointing an accusing finger at another?"
But we have to realise that so many questions like the one which started this blog, whilst ostensibly just asking questions, seem to be intended to get those fingers pointing.

Helen you say "What is wrong is pointing an accusing finger at another"
Why then did you not leap to the defence of Emcee when someone unjustly pointed a finger at him and called him a troublemeker?
He was only answering the question, as Mima had hoped he would.
Whther Mima wanted to cause trouble or not, certainly his question has given yet another opportunity for anti-Catholic tirades
---alan_of_UK on 6/11/07

Helen:: Because by Pointing a finger at another you forget the 3pointing right back at You "Matt7:1-4
---Emcee on 6/11/07

The question "Was Mary full of Grace" the answer is simple YESor NO It is the Naysayers who make all the Noise& opposition. If the question is too hard to answer People not concerned should back off Or else The question should be withdrawn Because the questioner's intent was Malice, with intentent to denigrate.
---Emcee on 6/11/07

The question is, who is Mary to you? Most Catholics worship her, and disregard what Jesus told us to do. This is why I am no longer a Catholic. My, how words get twisted here! For one, I was referring to the church commanding celibate priests and not the word of God. It is wrong to command men to go against nature. Two, I said I do not use other books. The apostles used the word of God and that is good enough. When you twist words you merely show an inability to counter BY THE SCRIPTURES. That, is no where near profitable.
---Frank on 6/7/07

It is sad that you people will exhaust every measure to back something as foolish as the church commanding a priest to remain unmarried except using scripture to prove me wrong. Frank, priestly celibacy is a Church ordinance, not demanded by Christ but offered by the Church. The early did allow for married clergy, but Paul himself set the example and paved the way for a celibate clergy. 1 Corinthians 7, note especially verses 6, and 32-35. No one has to be a priest or nun or monk or celibate single (not just priests are celibate in the RCC) in order to be a Catholic. Jesus remained single and gave up His life for us, it is beautiful that some wish to follow in His footsteps.

Frank, if you're going to be reading Foxes Book of Martyrs you had just as well been reading Little Red Ridinghood. From the Jewish side of life, let me assure you that Protestants were not pure as snow. Martin Luther wanted the Jews property stolen, then killed. Let's have a medieval holocaust. The Protestants had standing armies that killed both Jews and Catholics. Let's face it, life was cheap and Christian's hands were washed in blood. Where was the love of the Messiah?

Frank-Mary was blessed to give birth to the Son of God but is listed in Acts 1 as being in the upper room and receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. That alone disproves the full of grace teaching. She said all shall call her blessed among women.

Two things about this, how does being in the upper romm disaproves "Full of Grace". second Mary did not say she was bless among woman, Elizabeth did. Mary said "For, Behold, from Henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."

---Twilight on 6/5/07

Terry, my wording I will admit was poor but I am referring to things that the Spirit of God reveal to those who have the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Not just man's doctrine passed down from generation to generation. And because of that many little known men of low estate may have more insight revealed to them than those who blindly follow or have founded a doctrine. Not that they know more but what the Spirit reveals.

Twilight, Acts 9:32, Romans 1:7, 8:27, 12:13, 15:25, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 16:1, 2 Corinthians 8:4, and 9:1 all bear witness that the saints of God are church members and do not have to acquire sainthood by the approval of a Pope. Mary and all of the souls of just men made perfect are full of grace as you said. In that I won't disagree. I do disagree with Mary being full of grace beyond the saints though.

However, with an 85 word limit I will have to post my response on my next days off work. It is going to take far too many entries to explain this than one morning permits. Not to mention, keeping them in order as I hate confusion. Having said that, I agree with one aspect but feel you shortchange yourself with your beliefs and blasphemy with others.
