THESE ARE YOUR LORDS WORDS_Matt6:
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, BEFORE ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:The Lords Prayer,v.10-15,
I think this covers it...

I like to pray scripture - sometimes I take a prayer directly from the Bible and substitute my name or the names of others in place of the person in the story.

One way is start off our prayers with Thanksgiving and praise. We can thank the Lord for what he has done, what he is doing now, and what he is going to do. Also much praise and thanksgiving should be expressed about the privilege of being able to pray to the creator of the universe. As the ages roll and time ceases to exist we can always give thanks for what the Lord has done for us. Praise his Holy name.

AUDIBLY, is extremly good. Unbelivers, wicked men, and the such, will think that you are crazy. But, when judgment day comes and us poor, weak, pitful, Christians are enjoying ourselves at the feet of Jesus, they will be burning.

One way is to speak to God as we would to our very best earthly friend, conversing audibly, giving time for Him to answer, preferably on a nature walk or in a nature setting! P.

Just a thought is a prayer , when its directed to God; we can pray , in any way,on any day...we can lay, sing, talk, reflect, dance , walk, jump,be on bended knee, but it all boils down to talking to our Lord, whichever way is irrelevent, if the FOCUS is solely on Him.

I Thessalonians 2:1 lists several types of prayer. Intercession, supplication, & thanksgiving.
Intercession--you step in the gap for or in the place of someone.
Supplication--you supply your request or need to the Father and He supplies you need.(John 16:23)
Thanksgiving--praising God for results before you see them.(Hebrews 11:1)
Prayer of Faith--to heal the sick(James 5:14-16)
Decreeing--speaking or declaring something(Job 22:28; IICorinthians 4:13; Proverbs 18:21; Mark 11:23-24)

Pray to Him, but not the same prayer over& over. Like the comment below about conversations..would you tell you're close friend the samr message over& over? Let it come from the heart & pour it out, but do not be like the pharasees or the hypicrits, shouting from the streetcorners, letting people hear them.. prayers with God are a private nature.

Father in Jesus name. John 14:13,14 \ 15:16 \ 16:23.24
Worship and praise him. Ask his will be done. Thank him for all he has done. Ask him to make you fruitful. Tell him all your needs and problems. Confess your sins. Tell God, with his help, you forgive what others have done to hurt you. These are just suggestions. Pray whatever is on your heart.
Jesus told us how to pray. Matthew 6:6-15
Jesus is closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24
Jesus was tempted in every way. Hebrews 4:15
