a christian is someone who follows the gospel of Jesus Christ every day and avoids evil at all cost. they live as an example to His divinity. there are many here that profess to be christian, but then commit adultery, fornication, take drugs, drink to drunkeness, blaspheme God's name, argue, show hatred towards others and then shout praise God I am saved. who is the real christian here. at least LDS's practise what they preach and do not go through the motions. examples speak louder than words.

2-if people truly loved Jesus Christ and wanted to live in His kingdom, would blogs like cheated on wife, abused my children, killed someone by being drunk, evolution, pastor steals funds, are drugs sin, lady is self righteous be on this site. we work out our salvation through obedience to God's laws and commandments. we do not preach one thing and do another. we endure in righteousness to the end, even though it is not easy to avoid temptation. when we fall, we repent and never do it again.

Recent comment about Mitt R., that real Christians wouldn't vote for him, anyway.
A mormon spokeswoman standing up for Mitt, saying, of course, Mormons are Christians.
"Our name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints", says it all. How much more Christian could you be! Mormon is just a nickname."

The truth hurts, doesn't it.
It's not Christian. Giving yourself the name and title doesn't make you an olympian swimmer, oil company president, or an opera singer.

The area you question about is very dangerous. When you speak to representatives of the "faiths" you speak of you must remember our fundamental words mean something entirely different to them. You must know and be grounded in your belief and understand word meanings of both your faith and theirs. There is no fellowship for Christians within the works of darkness no matter how "clean" they may appear.

It depends on what you mean by common areas of agreement. If you are talking about social issues regarding how we treat the elderly, sick, animals etc. yes we should all agree, but we probably already do anyway. If you are referring to spiritual matters it would be impossible for a true Christian to agree with a religion that worships many gods or one that tells its members to kill those who will not join their 'faith' etc. What kind of common areas are you personally thinking of Mima?

And what would you have in common with a non believer? Tell them about the Good News. Then see if you can find something in common like Jesus.

Ps 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Ps 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

As the Bride of the Lord, the earth is ours. No false god or his followers have any inheritance in our land. They convert or get expelled from the land, from Heaven.

The Jews could not live peacefully with Germans. Muslims attacked the U.S. They kill each other. There will be no peace with them.

To be Christ like we should love our neighbors, even if they are a different religion, we just don't have to agree with thier religion, but donot fight over it.

Yes, we should get them to agree that Jesus Christ is the only way. Otherwise they go to hell.

I'm not say that we should disrespect them as a person or not to witness to them, but reaching common areas of agreement with them will never work. It is compromising with the devil. Either your for God's truth or your against God period! There is no luke warm or gray area here. If you try it you will be like them. I believe the Lord had something to say about being double minded.

Linda and I have taken two different meanings from the question. If it is of a socio/political nature, I agree with her. If it is a matter of inter chruch cooperation fellowship, then the scripture I quoted applies.

To be able to live peacefully within our very own community, there are so many things that we must agree with peoples of other faith. Christians don't have the monopoly of the world.

2 Corinthians 6:14-16, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
