He can but God can't hear him unless this man/person is repenting. John 9:31.

Mima, what I was saying is that God's ears are open to our prayers, those who have excepted Jesus as their Savior. For a person to get saved they must do what Romans 10:9-10 says. That is the prayer that God's ears are open to for folks who haven't excepted Jesus as their Savior.

If a sinner asks God for help in his/her troubles, God doesn't hear them because they are not one of his. The only time God hears a sinner is when that sinner has been convicted of their sins and are crying out to ask God to forgive them. Anything other than repenting and asking God to come in their heart, he doesn't hear.

2. by the way Lynna, you said who would call up to Christ? the Christian cry's up to Christ. He is the one that knows Christ is Lord and depends on Him for his existance. The lost follow the prince of the air, Satan. They cry out to the devil for more. Only a heart that has been changed by God will cry out for Christ.
---Lupe2618 on 1/28/06

Lynna, a person that cry's out to Christ is a person that has repented. No one cry's to God before, because he is in love with the world and has no love for God. Eloy said, depends on the topic, and then he says "but your wrongs have seperated you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear." So, which one is it Eloy? Does He are doesn't He? Why are you trying to say yes before you gave a Scripture that says no?
---Lupe2618 on 1/28/06

It depends on the topic, if it is to apologize or appeal to God for mercy, forgiveness, and conversion, than yes. But if it is to only dis the perfect and holy God and blaspheme him, than no, God will just walk away from him. "But your wrongs have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2. Please read Isaiah 55:7.

OF COURSE! A lost man talking to God is just how we get saved. Who but a lost man would cry out to God and say: Jesus save me

mima/ Rickey ... that seems a bit like chicken & the egg.
In England we have the problem sometimes that poor people cannot register for homes unless they can show they have a job, but cannot get a job until they have a home address.
I'm sure God does not work like that

Rickey; Does your answer mean that a person must be saved before they can ask in prayer for their salvation from God?
---mima on 1/27/06

IPeter 3:12 and Psalms 34:15-16 says," For the eyes of the Lord [are] over the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord [is] against them that do evil." If a person hasn't been saved God's ears aren't open to answer their prayer
---Rickey on 1/27/06

I agree with Rebecca. However I believe the prayer unto salvation has been answered before it ask. Otherwise the asker would still be a sinner and unable to be heard. Great question looking forward to hearing from others.
