To me he is SAVIOR...
---wes on 3/2/08

Jesus is God. And yet He washed the feet of the disciples. Mixed with sinners (and was entirely sinless). Allowed Himself to be crucified. Died with a common thief by His side.
At one level: defies belief. His Love: quite, quite extraordinary. Jesus Who is God. God who created the universe, the billions and billions of fiery stars, the power, the energy, the beauty of life.
And His great forgiveness. Thank God, for the gift of Life, what He suffered 2,000 years ago on the Cross and everything else.

I don't know what other gods can do for their followers. I do know what my God> can, will, have, and wants to do for me. That is proof as to whom the one true God is. And it all took place after I was saved. Not before, but AFTER. Good day.
---catherine on 4/5/07

Many religions say He is a prophet. Some say he is the Son of God but not actually God. I say He is God, the creator of all things and my Saviour. As I am adopted into His family He is also my Brother.

Dr scott went home to be with the LORD last year.
---willow on 2/7/06

Gene Scott, wow I haven't heard that name in a long time Willow. He has some pretty wild ideas and IMHO is flaky. Is he still around 'teaching?'
---NVBarbara on 2/6/06

not really

he was a teacher who would break the bible down to the original languages, hebrew, latan greek coptic arabic...his teachings are still played.
---willow on 2/5/06

Willow; No, is he another televangelist?
---1st_cliff on 2/4/06

cliff ok GOOD

one more question. do you listen to Dr Gene Scott.
---willow on 2/3/06

Willow; I firmly believe that Jesus was/is God's "only begotten Son. Elder; There's no doubt about Paul's conversion, and that he became a zealous Christian. (inspired??) Do you know how mant televangelists, church leaders, denomination presidents, clergy of all ranks "claim" to be led by Holy Spirit even tho they are 180 degrees from each other? H.S. is firm and consistant!
---1st_cliff on 2/1/06

I asked you a question about a year ago I assume you have thought about a very long time since you nevered answered it.

Who is Jesus to you the SON of GOD or just a man?
I ask you this question again because your posts show you to be double minded. so in nursry rhyme fashion. there was a crooked man who ran a crooked mile he bumped into a crooked fence and smiled a crooked smile.
---willow on 2/1/06

Well, Cliff, I have always thought outside the box as you call it. You give no place for Paul's conversion. You still have him in the box. Raise the lid ol' buddy.
Before you say it....... it was Luke who said Paul was converted.
---Elder on 1/31/06

He is my Savior.
---Melissa on 1/31/06

Cliff, As you know, the Holy Spirit (Comforter) works through people. Paul was one of them.
What is this obsession with Paul. You keep calling us Paulites. I am a Christian. You insinuate Paul was a fraud and his books do not belong in the Bible.

Acts 9:1-15 But the Lord said unto him, (Ananias) Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will show him how great things he must suffter for my name's sake.
---Ulrika on 1/31/06

Elder; You make my day with your little wittisizms, If it wasn't for my "obsevations" and your comments on them it would be a dull and boring day! At least with nursery rhimes you're starting to think "outside the box"
---1st_cliff on 1/31/06

When Jesus left he said " I'm sending the Comforter (Holy Spirit) to "teach you " So who comes along taking the roll that Jesus said the H.S. would fill? Setting up a whole "organization" with himself as leader! Jesus denounced the Pharisees as from their father the devil , and now He would use the chief to lead Christians? No I'm not a rebel just don't believe anything I hear and only 1/2 of what I see!

Are you confused Cliff or like your mentor Joseph Campbell.
He said in his book, Hero with a Thousand Faces, "Spreading strife is my greatest joy."
Joel predicted the Comforter (Holy Spirit) would come. This occurred in Acts 2. Paul didn't come on the scene until Acts 9.
Similar to the nursery rhyme, A twisted little man with a twisted little stick said twisted little things that make us sick.
Either you don't understand or you do and have you joy in spreading strife and doubt.
---Elder on 1/31/06

Paul the Comforter? Think about it, Paul probably was "comforting" to some, but Paul spent much of his time rebuking and correcting the early Churches. Paul was an apostle and a Church planter. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter.
---mike on 1/31/06

Cliff .. I have never heard it suggested that the Comforter was anyone other than the Holy Spirit.
---alan8869_of_UK on 1/31/06

Paul never said that he was the the Comforter. He was an apostle sent to the Gentiles. Peter was sent to the Jews.

Cliff are you now saying that many people believe that Paul is the comforter referred to by Jesus, the one that most of us know is the Holy Spirit? I've never heard anyone suggest that before.
---p.m. on 1/31/06

Acts 14:12-15 "...But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting,
"Men, why are you doing this? We are merely human beings with natures like your own."
Paul never thought more highly of himself than what people seem to think, he knew himself to be a bond servant of the Lord Jesus

2Pe 3:15 Think of our Lord's patience as salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him.
2Pe 3:16 He speaks about this subject in all his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

Is.43:3 "For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour." v11" I even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no Saviour"

Jesus is my Saviour, God, brother and King

John 1:12 "But as many as recieved him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God"

If there really was no one to validate Paul his works sure do.
But remember folks it was Luke who supposed wrote the book of Acts and he validated Paul's Salvation experience and his calling, Read Acts 9.
Pay close attention to 9:15-19.
Paul was sent to the Gentiles.
---Elder on 1/30/06

NVB; Jesus was able to verify the OT writers, but there's no one to verify Paul. His only credentials are "that he said so" You're free to believe who you like,so many writers say God is leading them,is that proof enough? His writing is "brilliant" millions of followers testify to that! Jesus said "I'm sending the "Comforter" and along comes Paul- you figure it out!
---1st_cliff on 1/30/06

I am a joint heir with Jesus, He is my all in all.
I look at the bible simply Cliff. ALL, New and OT were given to each writer by the power of the Holy Spirit, that includes Paul, John and all the other writers equally.
God WAS, and IS speaking through the bible writers as the Holy Spirit led them.
---NVBarbara on 1/30/06

PM &MA; I know and appreciate where you're comming from. It's not that I'm not adopted into God's family, I'm just not a Paulite!(they) hang on his every word as tho God himself was speaking! He made rules, regulations, prophecies, organized short ,created a whole religion."Paulites" I'm not one of them. His 12/13 books is their bible.
---1st_cliff on 1/30/06

I see what Cliff means. We berate the Roman Catholic Church for elevating Mary to the status of a goddess (although I don't think they actually put her that high) yet now p.m. says that he is Christ's brother. So Cliff says that as Christ is God, being His brother makes p.m. a god also. But Cliff seems to play with words, and objects to so much of what Paul taught. That is not what Paul meant by being joint heirs ... it is not the kind of brotherhood that makes us God.
---alan8869_of_UK on 1/30/06

I know that some still say that Jesus is still a baby, ?!? and they are looking for a baby form. But to me Jesus is my Savior that came to die so that I might live forever with him. He was born to die.
---Rebecca_D on 1/30/06

Cliff read this:- Rom 8:15, 16 & 17 'For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of ADOPTION, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.' I'm sure these are the verses referred to by p.m.

The world says Jesus is many things. His name and word have both been twisted for earthly and monetary gain and to justify lives that go against scripture. To me, He is far too many things to list here! He is my: Lord, saviour, creator, giver of faith, rock, praise, hope, faithful witness, my keeper, and husband. Spiritually, He is all things to me. Carnally, He gives me life and has authority over me poviding my NEEDS . Too me, what HE says is what matters.
---Delmar on 1/30/06

Cliff I'm sorry that your assurance that you are adopted into God's family is non-existent. That is possibly because, at this moment, YOU are not - but that can change. I am praying for you.
---p.m. on 1/30/06

PM;You said that Jesus was not just "a" God but "the" God and you and He are "brothers" , isn't that what satan said to Eve (Gen 3.5) "and you shall be as gods"? A little too presumptuous for me I'm afraid,PM.

A lot of muslims say that Jesus was just a prophet, and a good teacher. My question is, How can they say He was a prophet and a good teacher if they don't believe what He taught? ---slightly amazed in georgia---

Some say he is just another prophet, a teacher of good morals, a philosopher, an angel, a god, an extra terrestrial from outer space, a genius, a delusional or mentally imbalanced man, a devil or demon-possessed, ect. But I say that he is the only eternal living and almighty God of heaven and earth and under the earth, he is my Salvation, my Lord, and my God.

Jesus is the son of God, my saviour the only way to his father. He was with his father in the beginning, his only begotton son whom came down to Earth in the flesh to save us from our sins.He is the one whom will get us during the ressurection to come home.
