As long as they believed this in their heart and meant what they were saying they are saved...but we can't judge...that is between them and God. Only God knows their heart and if they were true in what they said.
---Sam on 12/1/07

No problem Mima, I did the same on another blog and boy did I get bombarded by many. Just wanted to point that out.
---Lupe2618 on 2/26/06

This is a case of my being wrong, my failure to express myself correctly. Lupe, alan and M.P. are correct. I reread my post and I can see my mistakes.
---mima on 2/26/06

Mima, you say that Lupe has doomed us to live in doubt. Why? I don't think Lupe was suggesting that the persons themselves would not know, he meant that other people might not know. God knows, the persons themselves know, but we judge by what we see and sometimes we get things wrong. Some non-Christians, because of their upbringing, have quite a convincing Christian vocabulary which can mislead us. Others who are born-again might not use the fancy phrases that some love and be judged to be unsaved.

2. After we give the message the job then belongs to God. He does the saving becasue we don't save anyone, yet one day we witness that person commiting his life to Christ. Even then we don't know his heart but God does. We can judge by our understandings and compare them to someone who we think is saved, and even then we don't know if the other is saved or not. All in all it is only our opinion not God's.
---Lupe2618 on 2/26/06

Brother Mima, you should know me by now, I am one that speaks on behalf of not losing our salvation. I know where I stand before God because the Spirit does witness to my spirit Mima. Your question was about someone else's salvation, not ourselves. No one knows the status of someone else's heart. We cannot know their heart and how truthful their rependence was or even if they repented. We are called to give the good news. God's Word, because it is the Word that convicts others.
---Lupe2618 on 2/26/06

Mima ... Lupe is quite right, and it is a matter between the person and God. It does not matter a whit whether you think the person is saved or not. It is not for you or any man to judge. The person himself will know.
---alan8869_of_UK on 2/25/06

Lupe; If you believe only God can know if were saved then by definition you have doomed us to live in doubt. Unsure of our position with God, we must continue to work in order to measure up.Oh how miserable we must be. But such is not the case, What about the scripture that says, His Spirit will witness to our spirit that we are his? Are you not certain in your heart that you are saved, eternally and unconditionally?

2. We can only look at the outside of a person and sometimes many don't look saved to us because we compare them many times to us or others that are always doing great things. But God looks at the heart and the intend why they do the things they do. We cannot tell how many, or in what denomnintion, they are at. Our prejudice towards many things allow us to make many mistakes in judging.
---Lupe2618 on 2/25/06

Mima, I understand you love the Lord and have done great with others and always looking to do more. But I believe this kind of question is reserve for God. It is our call to spread the good news, God is the terminator of the outcome. He is the only one that can tell who is saved and who is a fake. He reads peoples hearts. Questioning whether someone is saved or not is not possible by us. We have our own opinions and many times they are bad ones and we miss judge others.
---Lupe2618 on 2/25/06

Mima ... if you tell us the story, we know that it is true. We cannot judge further, not having witnessed it ourselves.

#3 should somebody be interested in winning souls I believe I have something to say. And my stories are way of trying to arouses this interest so please bear with me.
---mima on 2/25/06

#2 my crazy messages about salvation will not touch all, but maybe someone will be interested in winning others to the Lord. And that person might say to themselves, this man is no more knowledgeable than I am, he doesn't have a special gift. So therefore what is he doing? If my stories dig up this kind of interest the Lord will have made use of my stories.
---mima on 2/25/06

To John; I agree that it is disturbing how much I talk about this subject(salvaion). It might make some people believe I'm crazy. Certainly I have no doubt in my own mind about this person's salvation nor am I testing you or your beliefs. I'm actually trying to get you to examine my stories closely. Are they true? How can this nut witnessed to someone a few moments and they then accept the Lord?
---mima on 2/25/06

Bruce, I said a sinner won't say "Jesus is Lord" not Lord, Lord. Because a sinner won't admit that Jesus is Lord, because Satan wanted to rule and become Lord, God.
---Rebecca_D on 2/24/06

If it is true, "a sinner won't say Jesus is Lord," what do you suppose Jesus was talking about when He said Matthew 7:21, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."?

Mima, it's very strange and almost disturbing how you are always bringing this subject up. You talk about all the people you witness to and lead to Christ, then ask us if we think they really got saved? Is it because you really don't know, or are you just testing us and our beliefs?
---John on 2/24/06

Mima; I am not on the penpal list and sorry but I don't give my phone number out over the internet. 1 Jn 4:1-3. When a person recieves the Holy spirit they will become a new creature, not doing the things they used to do, you will see them bearing fruit. If you don't see this person has changed and has went back to their old ways, chances are they didn't get saved. Remember Mima, a sinner won't say Jesus is Lord, because the spirit that is in them (bad) isn't going to confess this. I know this to be true.
---Rebecca_D on 2/20/06

yes, patient is saved
---bill on 2/19/06

Rebecca D; " How to test a peson's spirit" or how to tell if a person has recieved the "Holy Spirit" is the question. I would love to talk to you about this . I am on penpals - mima3783-- leave me a message including your phone number.

Mima as you were there and saw and heard all this AND you believe this person is now saved why are you asking us? None of us were there to witness this. We can only go by what you have told us. Only God knows absolutely if this was a genuine confession and acceptance of Christ as Saviour and Lord.
---M.A. on 2/19/06

It's not up to us to judge. If it was sincere, then yes. It it wasn't, then no.
---Ann5758 on 2/19/06

Mima; apperantly you are questioning this person's salvation or you wouldn't ask--again. And again I say just because this person uttered words that sounded good, their heart may have been far from God. God may have not been dealing with him. They only way to know is to try (test) this person's spirit to see if it be of God. No sinner will ever say Jesus is Lord.
---Rebecca_D on 2/18/06

To alan; there is no doubt in my mind that this person accepted and received the Lord Jesus Christ and was, as we say, saved. I am just recording what happened, what was said, and then I'm asking what my fellow bloggers believe. Is this person saved or lost?

Mima ... you said the patient accepts. That surely means a genuine acceptance as per Rebecca's correct statement.
Why shoul;d you think he is not saved?
---alan8869_of_UK on 2/18/06

If God wasn't convicting this person of their sins then no he/she isn't saved. God has to deal with ones heart and they have to surrender to God. Just utter words doesn't make a person saved.
