Oh to have no fear! That is my dream! I would travel like crazy if I had no fear. I am petrified of traveling and deeply wish I wasn't. I've missed out on so much and hope someday God delivers me of all fear.

We are to be put total under water to be babtize there is no other way sprinkling won't do it either
---Betty on 1/14/08

Ff, I totally understand and respect you, but did you know that there is a way to be baptised with just a few drops of water? The Pastor can even put the water on a cloth and then put the cloth on your forehead, or whatever. There must be a way to get around your fear. I mean, how do you wash your face? or hair? It would be just like that. Good luck to you.

Take swimming lessons!

Perfect Love casts out all fear...The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
---Lynn on 3/12/06

I understood of FF's reply is to be that if he could get over the fear of water, then he would get baptised. But until he can get rid of this fear he is afraid to be baptised because of the water.
---Rebecca_D on 3/12/06

Elder, you are so wrong. My fear is OF THE WATER, not of the baptism. Problem I can't have one without the other. There are more things in life I cannot do because of this fear. Baptism is only one of them. If I had told you that I could not go on a fishing boat (and not even mentioned baptism) you would have answered me very differently I'm sure, or possibly you would not have responded to that at all.

ff, Marya's fear is of swimming in water yours is in Baptism. The first step of obedience for a New Christian is Baptism. Do you see the difference. My fear is that people will not see the destructive result of disobedience.
I have been to death's door and fear was not there. I have been in jail riots and surrounded by death row inmates.
I have found when you fear God there are many other things you don't fear.

My body is human and not super but I know where my hope lays and it is in the perfection of Christ that has caused me to be able to do things that I would normally be afraid of. You have taken this as a personal attack when it was meant for encouragement. Excuses will not carry you but obedience to God will.
---Elder on 3/10/06

If I had no fear I would have boldness. The Bible says that the perfect love of God casts out the spirit of fear. When we love God enough and know that He loves us enough, we will trust Him for everything, we will have no fear. I believe this is a life long battle we have. To completely trust God that no harm could come to us would take a full understanding of His love.
---john on 3/10/06

Elder, several people posted their fears before I did but you didn't say to them do this or that & trust in the Lord and you'll be able to do it. I'm guessing that Marya's fear is of water also. I wondered whether or not I should post my fear and now realise I should not have. I've been here before but will keep it to myself from now on. You still have not told us your fears though.
---f.f. on 3/10/06

f.f. there is no doubt in my mind that your fear is real to you.
There are those who are afraid of the dark. That is because they don't know what is in the dark. Turn on a light the fear is gone.
Your fear of water will be greatly reduced when you trust God to take care of you while you are getting baptized.
I have had fear many times only the Lord carried me through.
You can bow down to fear or the Lord.
Go on take one Giant step forward.
Then come tells us about it.
---Elder on 3/10/06

Elder I wondered who would be the first to say what you have said and I guessed it would be either you or Eloy. My fear is as real as someone who 'would' take swimming lessons, walk alone at night, raise hands in worship, stop cars and witness in the street, and much more. Fear is fear and if you have none you must be superman; or are you not prepared to discuss yours?
---f.f. on 3/9/06

f.f., if you would fear God and be afraid of not obeying His commands as much as you fear water you could get Baptised and be obedient in this matter.
---Elder on 3/9/06

If I had no fear (of water) I would be baptised.

I would obey God more.
---Rebecca_D on 3/9/06

If I had no fear I would go out on a busy street stop cars and begin to witness about Almighty God. If I had no fears of failure I would be healing people right and left and casting out demons one after the other. But alas fear of failure is like a stone about My neck. As of today I have only seen three people healed, certifiably so, and only a few people have found freedom from their Devils after exorcism.
---mima on 3/8/06

"If" I had no fear, I would probably be more inclined to raise my hands in worship, shout Amen louder to what the preacher has to say in his sermon, and tell more people about what a wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord( sounds like a song?lol)

I would walk more than I drive to the places I have to go I would even walk at night. I would take long walks at the lake by myself just to help clear my mind and ease stress. I also would not fear being in a vehicle. Due to being in three accidents. What pleasure!!!
