I don't believe you will find that in the bible.

Joe it is strange but you made statements that had nothing to do with the subject question asked. I have found it easier to leave editing up to the Moderator. That way you don't get mad or make anyone mad. If you have a Biblical answer to the non-biblical question please do post it as all the answers that could be given were. Thanks.

After the holy anointing oil was made, the tabernacle of congregation, the ark holding the testimony, the table of bread and all his vessels, the candelstick and his vessels, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his base, and including the Priest with his sons and those who minister were anointed and sanctified with the holy oil. Please read Exodus 30:26-30.

Sorry Joe, we slipped up by not keeping to the subject.

Joe, the original question is so biblically rusty that one wonders how to reply so we might as well advertise WD40 and 3 in 1.
---A_Catholic on 3/12/06

This is another example of everyone failing to stick to the question.. Remote control? Lubricants? Hinges? Sounds secular to me.
In other words, if you don't know the answer, then please refrain from making comments that have nothing to do with the blog question.

A_Catholic: Acts 31??---that must be in the Catholic Bible. I don't have that in my Bible :)
---Ashton on 3/11/06

Alan you spell my name as good as I do sometimes.
---Elder on 3/11/06

There are two Bible verses that have both Oil and Door in them Exodus 35:15 & 2 Kings 9:3 but neither apply to the question.

I do like the Acts 31:14 reference it must be from the Handy Persons (Have to keep it gender neutral) Bible from Home Depot.

Peter, being a man, will definitely use the remote control very often. That's the major toy of us, men. That's the only thing my wife and I fight about :))
---A_Catholic on 3/11/06

A Catholic ... even remote controlled gates need lubrication ... perhaps more so, as there does not have to be a constant attendant. (the idea of Peter sitting in a control room is amusing) But maybe they are now just Virtual Reality, and THAT would not require WD40

During the passover, the blood of animals was placed over the door so the angel of death would pass over the house. In the NT, oil is used as an anointing, both over Jesus (Luke 7:46, , and then anointing the sick with oil (James 5:14).

Alan, you're so old fashioned. The gates of Heaven are now operated via a remote control. They are computerised.

Re your fingers needing WD40 - hmmmm, I tend to agree :))
---A_Catholic on 3/10/06

Elder ... my brain needs WD40 so it can work properly and send the right signals to my typing fingers & I may get you name right.
---alan_of_uK on 3/10/06

E;der ... your wings won't need WD40 & I hope St Peter has some WD40 in case the Gates get stuck shut just as I arrive
---alan_of_uK on 3/10/06

A_Catholic, did you say WD40 works best with hinges or wings. I was saving mine for my wings.
By the way Acts 31 is Romans 3 in my Bible.

I disagree with you Elder. WD40 works much better with hinges. Check Act 31:14
---A_Catholic on 3/10/06

You should anoint the door hinges with oil.
3 in one is the best. I saw it on the TV program Tool Time.
Otherwise I ain't heard nothin 'bout it.
I have never seen that in the Bible.
