Prayer Did Not Help Him
Pastor gravely ill with yellow jaundice, 50 pastors prayed for this man, nothing. I myself was called to pray for this man. Again the results were nothing. Can we now say that not one of the people who prayed for this man have the gifts of healing?

It may be it is between the man and God. He might need to repent of some things.

Nope. They can heal alone with their faith. You can too, and anyone else who believes. What happened, was your Pastor either consciously or sub-consciously did not want to be healed. His time was done.

See this is what makes my mind confused about God. This "yes,no or later" thing. It is SO vauge and so easy. I could say that about my cat, if I prayed to my cat for healing and I didn't get healed, I could explain it away like: "well he said yes, no or later"! It makes me think it's all a consequence. help!

Moderator ... We should be prepared for the "No" amswer, because our prayer should always be, as Christ's was "Nevertheless, Thy will be done"
I have had the "No" answer, and am pleased to report that it is not just "No", but "No, and I will give you the grace/courage/whatever is needed to enable you to bear the burden/diaappointment/whatever"

Mima: Do you need this man's healing to confirm your gift? That seems desperate to me.
If 50 pastors and you have prayed for this man's healing, it could mean that God's plan may be to heal him in his glorified body through taking him home. That is what happened to a friend I know who had cancer. The elders prayed for her, and she got sicker and went home to Jesus within a month. She was healed through her death.

Mima... if there is one thing that I have learned in life it's that God answers prayers.
Sometimes, though, the answer is no.
I do not believe that God will heal everyone, but he will use the situation to his good.

mima, the problem may not be with those who were praying...it maybe with the pastor himself...is he honest with himself and with God? yes he maybe a pastor yet it does not mean he is true to the word...just a thought

Has the pastor been examined for gall-bladder or liver trouble?
I think God wants us to use normal means--including doctors--as well as prayer.
I believe in a miracle working God--who 99% of the time works through the natural.

God promises to heal the faithful. "For all the promises of God in him are Yes, and in him A-men, to the glory of God by us. If a man keep my saying, he will never taste of death. I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet will he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me will never die. Believe you this?" II Corinthians 1:20; John 8:52; 11:25,26. Those with faith get healed, those without faith don't. "Believe you this?"

It is purely God's perogative who is healed & who isnt;He may/may not heal.God gives this gift as/when / to whom HE wills: we need to seek HIS will, not our own.Death will come to us all, eventually, should Jesus tarry. The BEST gift is to have Jesus, He is the greatest gift,of eternal Life, eternal joy and eternal peace..

I can testify that it was over eight years, and 2 years of chemo., and many prayers, and I was on my death bed. But after 8 years, God healed me. Remember the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years? (Luke 8:43-48). But in God's perfect timing, she too got healed. As some have said so well here, and before, it takes faith in the Lord's power to heal. Many times Jesus asked the sick before healing them, "Do you believe that I can do this?" And the sick would answer Yes. Then Jesus healed them.

Well, our Lord God has the gift of healing if this is what he belives is the best thing to do. I have seen people healed of things other then what is being "prayed for", like not dieing, not suffering....

No you can't say that. It may not be God's will for this man to be healed. Plus without faith, there is no healing. Faith is a big part of our christian walk. Our time isn't God's time. There are reasons as to why this man isn't healed yet. The reasons only God knows.

God does things in His timing. You need to just keep praying for the pastor to be healed either here on earth or with God in heaven.
