Pastors are prone to sin just as the rest of us. On the other hand, they are held accountable more than others because of the responsibility God gave them.

Do you feel the same today?

It's not that they are more prone to sin. They may be more exposed to temptation. Because of their position as a pastor, more is "made of it" if they do sin and are caught at it. The number of pastors who's sin is exposed, is minor compared to the number of pastor in total. It's the same old story, "bad news is good news", and a pastor caught in sin makes good news.

If I'm wrong correct me. Seems to me that (lc)catholic church has the most sexual-abuse cases. Wonder why?

A good Pastor has alot on his shoulders. For he takes care of his sheep as the Christ does. I don't think they are more prone to sin, but I do think that they have a heavier burden on their shoulders because a Pastor and his wife can't do anything without someone talking about them. We need to support our Pastors in every way we can. I have an excellent Pastor and I don't put him upon a pedestal for he is no better than me. He is my Shepherd here on earth, as the Father is my Spiritual Shepherd.

Another aspect is that the Bible says that the rebellious shall be led forth with workers of iniquity. Some things revealed may show some preacher's hearts just may not be right either. The Lord said he would bring every hidden thing to light. Some preach for a living rather than live for preaching. Those who exalt themselves seeking glory the Lord may be abasing.

New levels, new devils. The closer you walk with the Lord, the more the devil tries to get one to sin. However, there is a place you can reach where satan knows no matter how hard he tempts someone, they won't fall for his deception, but he will still try and try. Remember he tempted Jesus THREE times before he left him alone.

No I do not believe that they are more prone to sin but when they do and are caught out a much bigger fuss is made by members (and if it is a sin the public will be interested in also in the press) than would be with other people,so the impression is given that their sins are worse or more frequent than those of other people.

Pastors make their own decisions to sin. As for being exposed, I think Christians are more knowledgeable of the wisdom and the Word of God these days than in the past, and these pastors are not getting away with as much "false" docturine as they once did. A lot of Chritians are finally realizing that pastors are to be God's shepards, Not God himself thru our ignorance or lack of knowledge.

Absolutely NOT. They are more needful of prayer and accountability, because of the responsibility they have of shepherding the flock, but, they are not any more susceptible to sin than anyone else.
