Saved Different Ways

Is there more than one way to be saved? Romans 11:9 describes one way to be saved. Does Romans 10:13 describe another way, a little different way? What is your take on this?

Jesus Christ said "I am the WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE, and NO one comes to the Father but by ME". There is NO other way to salvation but by Jesus Christ.

Salvation in a simple form 1Cor 15:1-4

We are saved BY HIS death and resurrection(grace) THROUGH OUR FAITH in HIS death and resurrection. Do we really believe in what HE did for us?? HE is the only ONE who can give us life.(salvation)
We can do nothing by our works to gain salvation, we need to trust in HIS works. We are overcomers because OF HIM.

Romans 11:9>>>Does not teach another way to salvation. Neither does Romans 10:13>>>For whomsoever, shall call upon the Lord....My mother probably was never explained this Scripture, she's in hell, now. Scripture is referring Christians who's already saved. For what is a life for a Christian but a life of prayer. You know Satan loves secrets. I never have. My mom forever in hell, because of false preachers. She really thought she would go to heaven. She would say Jesus' name, now and then. In her diary too. Never saved by His Blood, never truly chosen. for there is no other way. They, [false preachers], will be found guilty of man-slaughter on judgment day. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, would you?

God gave only One salvation plan that Is according to Mark 16 v 16, Acts 2 v's 37 - 41 which Fulfills Matt.28 v's 19 - 20 delivered to the Jewish people First by Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost. You must live a clean & Holy life before God. Matt.7 v 14, Matt.10 v 22, Luke 12 v 32.

2nd,Cor.11 v's 14 - 15 gave to the Man - made trin - rcc & has salvation plans Matt.15 v 9 in the which there is NO scriptural basis for such.

The Man - mades deny & Are blinded 2nd.Cor.4 v 4 in the top paragraph.

I answer questions like this from the straight testimony of Jesus since we are saved by abiding in His words. Please see what Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3. Also please be careful with the things Paul (and Luke)wrote for there is only one way to be saved. You must be ye therefore perfect as the Father is perfect. (No one sinful will make it.) So seek FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven AND its righteousness... And yes, there is a difference between 'justification' and 'sanctification'.

Mima-Is there more than one way to be saved? Yes,1 Pt 3:20- says we are saved by baptism.Hebrews 12:14 it says that we will not see the lord unless we are holy, and that we have to strive for his holiness. In Matthew 6:14-15, reads we must forgive others or we will not be forgiven. John 6:54 We will have eternal life by eating the flesh and drinking the blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ. also in matthew 19:16-17 Jesus says keep the commandments and you will have life.

I think Mima means Romans 10:9, not 11:9. Calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:13) does NOT describe another way of salvation. This verse has to be taken in context with verses 9-12. The only way to be saved is to believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins. There is no other way.

Salvation is by Grace through faith in both the Old and New Testaments. The only merit at our disposal, is the merit of Christ. The merit of Christ comes to us by grace through faith. Grace is the unmerited favor of God. It is an action or disposition of God toward us. It is not a substance that can inhabit our souls. We grow in Grace, not by a quantitive measure of some substance in us, but by the merciful assistance of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, acting graciously toward us and upon us.

The OT Jews were saved when their hearts were right with God. look at David - adultery/murder -but loved God.

Moses - killed a man, but he knew God

We are saved the same way - if our hearts are right with God.
There are many born again Jews - they get assimulated into the gentiles. With the Messianic movement we are seeing them for the first time as Jewish.
God has not changed His mind and He knows the Jews will seek Him. Maybe not until everything is so bleak - they have no choice.

There is one salvation. Jude 1:3 speaks of our "common" salvation.

Eph. 2:8 says we are saved by grace.

John 6:37 says All that the Father gives to Christ will come to him and that he will not cast them out.

Rom 8:33-39 states that nothing can seperate us from the love of God. We are preserved in Christ (Pslms 37:23-28).

Both scriptures are the same. Here is the first. Those who seek their own righteousness must bow down their back always to the bondage of sin. But those who seek the righteousness of Christ receive it by grace and are the believing remnant of God. Now the other one tells us this, in romans 10-13. The key element of salvation is again seen to be faith. Salvation is not appropriated to the sinners life until there is a heartfelt belief in the Lord Jesus.++ Scriptures are not different.

Salvation is by Grace thru Faith. Beware those who seek to turn Christians back into Jews. The assumption that Israel was right about everything but Jesus is absurd. Jack

Romans 11:9, "And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:"

Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

I don't see what you are talking about in 11:9. What passage did you mean?

No, there is only one way.(Romans 10:9)
Romans 11 is specifically talking about God's elect, not the church.

Lupe-(. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the ELECT have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.") But why were the blinded. Paul tell us in 11:11 "Hense I ask,did they stumble so as to fall? OF COURSE NOT! BUT through their trangression SALVATION has come to the GENTILES,so as to make them jealous."
---ruben on 4/22/06

God saves the elect. It is after all God's election by grace that sets you apart. Romans 11:5, "Even so then, at this present time there is a REMNANT according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, its is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the ELECT have obtained it, and the rest were blinded."
---Lupe2618 on 4/22/06

There is only one way to be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ. To be convicted of your sins and call upon Jesus and invite him in your heart. What other way is there?
