Come Lord Jesus,
do not delay.
---Nicole on 7/7/08

yes because there will be peace finally!
Hurry Lord Jesus! come to the rescue!
---Paul on 7/6/08

Yes, because it is "not by works of righteousness that I have done but according to His mercy He saved me..."

"He is able to save to the uttermost those that to come to God through Him."

"He is able to keep me from falling and to present me faultless before the throne of His glory with exceeding joy...."
---Linda6563 on 6/11/08

Because I am one who, worships God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
---Bruce5656 on 9/18/07

Out of the mouth the heart speaks, and I see many here that are not of my family and that are not ready.
---Eloy on 3/11/07

I agree with Rev herb. Yes, but with fear and trembling, none of us are perfect, I am way far from being prefect..But we all have to face the judgement seat and our works will be judged..Mary4964
---Mary4964 on 3/10/07

I was thinking about this question just the other day but didn't post it. I guess God really wanted me to study this. Thanks to all.
---NV_Steve on 3/10/07

Having been made ready by His preious blood. We should say(and I can), even so Lord Jesus come quickly!!
---mima on 3/10/07

Yes. Because I was purchased in His blood.
---josef on 5/9/06

I've always wanted to meet Jesus even before I knew anything about the Word and being saved. I'm not ready yet. I want to see my son get his education. His dad pulled him out of school in 8th grade. He's living with me now and he just finished the GED. Scored college level on tests. I'd like to see this happen for him.
---Nellah on 5/1/06

Yes, you are right Lee but it can bring false doctrines to the fore front and many can be deceive. My brother knows so much about Scripture but does not understand spiritual things so his understanding is zero about God. Yet he is so smart. The uneducated will see light in scripture through the power of the Holy Spirit. He might be slow but there is light.
---Lupe2618 on 4/29/06

"You have a tremendous amount of knowledge of the greek and hebrew but that doesn't guarantee a correct understanding of scripture."

But education, while it does not always guarantee a correct understanding, and there is not always a good correlation between education and spirituality, it usually gives one an advantage over the non-educated.
---lee on 4/29/06

1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be enslaved by anything.

And sin is something that enslaved. The genuine Christian has a deep hatred for sin; even when one sees it within oneself as sin is something the indwelling Spirit will not tolerate.
---lee on 4/28/06

Further to Paul's attitude. Paul was the first to admit that he had not "arrived".
Philippians 3:9-14, "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ... If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect/: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend... I count not myself to have apprehended..."
---Bruce5656 on 4/28/06

He was putting those things in remembrance and those who would believe would come into experiential knowledge of those truths. Their carnality did not disqualify them from Christians, even though they had to have the rod used on them.
---Linda6563 on 4/28/06

Paul makes obvious mention of "carnal" Christians, mere babes in Christ who not only caused division but also took great pride in using grace as a license to sin. When speaking to them, he still continued to call them "brethren and saints" and went on to remind them that they used to be "as such" but now were "cleansed and washed."

Yes Eloy,
We Christians are blameless and perfect in Christ.
How you can expect us to accept the fact that you never sin in word or deed, by commission or omission, (James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.) is beyond the comprehension of anyone here or, speaking for myself, any Christian I know.

Your words stand in judgment against you. The things Lupe has refered to you saying are tantamount to blasphemy.
---Bruce5656 on 4/28/06

Your own testimony stands against you. You claim perfection but have repeatedly said that you have no joy.

You have a tremendous amount of knowledge of the greek and hebrew but that doesn't guarantee a correct understanding of scripture. Witness Jesus words to the Jews:
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
---Bruce5656 on 4/28/06

Your logic stands against you. You insist the Christian cannot sin yet you believe in the sin of backsliding.
---Bruce5656 on 4/28/06

Who will lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies. As the condemned did malign Jesus, so too the unsaved malign and mock me. If they have kept my Lord's saying, they will keep mine also. But I say to you, That every idle word that men will speak, they will give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Romans 8:33; John 15:20; Matthew 12:36,37.

"Be you all therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless up to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Matthew 5:48; Hebrews 10:14; I Thessalonians 5:23. Please read I John 3:6-10.
---Eloy on 4/28/06

Thro the fire will not destroy me, I would feel that there have been too many things that I have left undone in promoting the gospel message.

As to my own righteousness, I do not depend upon that but on His righteousness that is mine because of my acceptance of Him as my Lord and Savior.
---lee on 4/28/06

3. When you said, Jesus never had to clean a crappy toilet, that really got to me Eloy and that is why I bring it up. This person that says those things is not the one that is sinless. I know we all bash you but its because of your insistance of your perfection. No one is without sin, for he who claims that, calls God a liar. All come short of the glory of God. Myself included.
---Lupe2618 on 4/28/06

2. "He is the potter and I am the clay, so He can and He does whatever He desires, which is usually nothing much to me." That was your quote to me about that lovingkindness that abides in you. I don't believe the things you say and you want everyone to believe you Eloy. You have to come down from that high place you are on and just be humble. It hurts to be humble but its the right thing to do.

..eloy, what you stated about who you are in Christ is a far cry from what you have said before. 1. lets take "well doer" how can you be a well doer if you wish disaster for America? 2. Friend of the Lord, You said "that the worse thing Christ endured was to wash the feet of the disciples feet, that He never had to clean a crappy toilette," but didn't mention what He endured for your salvation on the Cross. 3. God's mercy and lovingkindness abides in you, when you said
---Lupe2618 on 4/28/06

Interesting that everyone else talks about what Jesus did and who they are in Christ, whild Eloy talks about all he is.

Paul had lots to boast about but he simply said
Phil 3:8 I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness... but...the righteousness which is of God by faith:
---Bruce5656 on 4/28/06

Yes, I would be ready not by acts of righteousness that I have done but by His blood He Saved me. Eloy you cannot even name "All" of God's commandments so how could you keep them? If you were perfect as you claim you would not misspell words or put commas after the word "but" and before the word "and." You also would not say that people have to obey all of the commands to get Saved.
Nor would you forget I John.
---Elder on 4/28/06

Thomas, Eloy IS sinless. he has told us many times.

On the contrary, being perfect is in complete harmony with the gospel. God Commands us to be perfect. Please read Matthew 5:48; Hebrews 10:14; I Thessalonians 5:23. And the major difference between a born-again Christian and the nonborn-again person in I John 3:6-10.
---Eloy on 4/28/06

Eloy, PERFECT, Who told you that? Come on, please. If you were perfect you would be sinless but that would contradict the gospel.
---Thomas on 4/27/06

debbie, The beauty about becoming born-again is that a tree bearing bad fruit or no fruit is converted into a good tree bearing heavenly fruit, even as the righteousness of Christ.
---Eloy on 4/27/06

debbie, I am born-again from Christ, and made the righteousness of Christ. I am a preacher, prophet, and teacher of the Lord. I am righteous, sanctified, holy, spiritual, the sheep, a child of God, a saint, just, clean, perfect, a well-doer, the good and faithful servant, the obedient, the good tree, hated of the world and the friend of the Lord, the temple of the Holy Ghost, the shining wheat, and God's mercy and lovingkindness abides on me.

Are you saying that you never sin?
---Debbie on 4/26/06

This is one of the reasons why very few people are actually saved: because they do not obey all of the commands of Christ, but instead they follow only part of his command which they pick and choose to their liking, and they disregard or discard the required rest. If I were to say that I do not know God nor have a holy command, then I would be a liar like mine accusers: but I have seen him, and he has sent me, and I do keep his word. If we truly love Jesus as we say, then we keep his commandments.
---Eloy on 4/26/06

Yes, but with fear and trembling. Though I am born again, I have not lived a perfect life, none of us have. We will stand before The Bema seat of Christ and our works will be judged, some will be burnt while others won't. How many of your works will be burnt? One is to many.
---Rev_Herb on 4/25/06

Eloy, YESSSSSSSSSS I am ready. Why? Because I am Born Again, and have a very close and intimate relationship with Jesus. I have rec'd and believed upon the name of Jesus. Here's a question: When Jesus told Nicodemous "you must be born again" was that to get into heaven? or was it to see the kingdom of God in the Spirit realm? The kingdom of God is not eat nor drink, but righteous, peace and joy.
