You must be born again. Born into the family of God. The only way anyone can enter heaven is thru Jesus Christ. He shed His blood so we could live.

Must be in Christ.

Okebaram, when you die you will have no more sin cause you will be dead. All flesh funtions stop until the second coming of Christ. Until that time your body will struggle with sin. Everyone alive. As Rev-Herb, said, there is no one without sin, if anyone thinks they are, they call God a liar. As a Christian grows in Christ he will become more Christ like but the completion is when we are glorified. When a Christian dies, his spirit goes with the Lord, He cannot sin anymore because his flesh is dead.

You have to be completely free of sin when you die to enter heaven. The blood of Jesus actually makes you completely free of all previous sins as long as you are TRULY repentant, willing to change your ways, and you receive the forgiveness in that blood. Everytime you sincerely ask for forgiveness, you become spotless. But God cannot be mocked; you also need to stay away from sin. Now there are some things that arent good but arent sin, like minor neglect of constant prayerfulness and word-study, etc.

There is only one way to get to heaven and that is through Christ Jesus. No one is perfect and everyone sins. But our heart must remain spotless, and have no secret sins, because one unrepented sin regardless of what it is, will keep someone out of heaven.

answer is forgiven of all sin by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Only by accepting Jesus' sacrifice in our place. He paid my debt in full, so God sees Christs righteousness, not my sin which has been washed by the blood of the Lamb. Praise Jesus!

jerry, the answer to your question goes like this. We will not walk into heaven as continuing sinners, because we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye. This changing will take place as we rise in the air to meet the Lord in the Resurrection. We are not unrighteous put rather have been made righteous by the blood the lamb.

If we can walk into heaven as continuing sinners, then what right did God have in casting out Lucifer and his angels? "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?" (1Cor 6:9)

Part 1
Megan, let me ask you a few questions: What does ETERNAL live mean? What sin do you commit to loose your salvation? If you loose your salvation, how many times can you be saved? What is the gift of the Holy Spirit?

I bet you believe speaking in tongues is the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit

Part 2
Rightly saved is always saved!!! Many people who loose there salvation never had it to start with. The bible says that we are sealed to the day of redemption. If God seals us to the day of redemption, how can we loose our salvation? The bible also says that no man can pluck us out of Gods hand.

Oh! But we can take ourselves out of Gods hand.

If God has the power to save us, then he has the power to keep us.

Part 3
Yes, we are to live a Christian life, but if living a Christian life is what keeps us saved, that it becomes works and not grace. Man always wants to do something earn his salvation or keep his salvation.

Do you live a perfect Christian life without sin? The bible says that if we say we have no sin, we make God a liar. If you have sinned, then you have lost your salvation and can never get it back. Heb. 6:1-6

Megan, I do not agree that we can lose our salvation. 1Peter 1:4,5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 2Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

There are 4 steps to salvation:
1 Believing in the Lord, Jesus Christ
2 Confess Christ publicly
3 Repent your sins
4 Being baptized into Christ and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

But also know that once saved is NOT always saved. You have to live a Christian life, study God's Word and serve Him with all your heart.

Continued: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Thank God for his love, grace, and mercy. So repent and believe in Jesus, and God changes our desires.
---Ulrika on 4/30/06

The first and only requirement to get into heaven is to accept Jesus as your Savior. He then will cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Your sins will be separated from you as far as the east is from the west. From then on you belong to Him and He will keep you forever. When you sin after you are saved, you just go to the throne of grace and ask to be forgiven and He will forgive.

None of the above. To enter heaven, has nothing to do with the works of man, but the finished work of Jesus Christ. Christ died for our sins and if we accept that and him, we will go to heaven. The soul is saved not the body. The soul is redeamed, but the body is still sinful. If we say we have no sin, we make God a lier.
---Rev_Herb on 4/30/06

3. The amount of sin has no bearing on a person's eligibility to enter heaven. However, Jesus said to repent. Luke 13:3,5. Salvation is by grace and we receive it through faith. Romans 3:22-26 Thank God for his mercy and grace. Ephesians 2:3-10
