When the rapture comes(whenever) what qualifies a person to fly? What about children without understanding? What about adults who have never had the opportunity, such as some Moslems, Buddhas etc.?

You can probably get more information about your question if you do a web search (e.g. by using Google or your favorite search engine). There are many web sites devoted to the subject.

When you read messages on the various blogs here, it is a good idea to look at the dates when they were posted. If it's been months or years since the last post, it's unlikely anyone is still paying attention.

The last message on this blog was from 2009, and all but the last two were from 2006 when the blog was created. I don't recognize most of the people on this particular one. Jack (who now goes by Cluny) is still active. Eloy last posted on this site in 2012, mima in 2011, and Rebecca_S and Helen_5378 around 2008.

Very intersting, please give more details about rapture.
---Phineas on 4/3/18

The rapture is a 150 year old man made doctrine? I beg to differ. Read Revelation chapter 4 people. Who are the four & twenty elders dressed in white robes & casting their crowns at he feet of Christ? Note that this occurs before Christ begins to break the seven seals. Scripture clearly reveals that these are the saints. 12 representing the 12 tribes of Israel, (O.T. saints) and 12 representing Christ's desciples (N.T. saints). The fact that they have already received their crowns is evidence that the Beema seat Judgment takes place prior to the Tribulation. All people saved during the church age will be present at the Beema seat judgment. This is evidence that the rapture is Bible fact, and that it will be pre-trib.

Righteous or right-standing with God qualifies every believer the right to be caught up. Children who haven't come to the age of accountability will be raptured up. The gospel is being preached all over the world & no one has any excuse for not excepting Jesus. Even after the rapture the gospel will be preached. So folks will have a chance then to recieve Jesus.

Helen, Thessalonians 4:17 is talking about the second coming. Continue on into the 5th chapter and you will find at that same time the wicked will not escape. People always stop with the verse you spoke of, but it goes on to tell what happens to the unsaved. Just as it was in the days of Noah and Lot, God put the saved aside in safety while He destroyed the wicked. The tares will grow with us until the final harvest. I have something I would really like for you to read.
---Rebecca_S on 6/24/06

Rebecca S - If there is not going to be a Rapture, could you then tell me please what 1 Thessalonians 4:17 is talking about?
---Helen_5378 on 6/23/06

It is odd that those who believe in the rapture will tell you all the things that have to happen first. After 3 1/2 years into the tribulation the wicked one will be revealed. They say all these things must first happen. Then they will tell you Jesus could come at any moment, even tonight! Well, so which way is it? They must not trust the rapture doctrine 100%. lol The graveyards are full of those who trusted in it. Our rapture will happen when Christ returns for the second and final coming.
---Rebecca_S on 6/23/06

The rapture doctrine is not taught in the bible and only came about in the last 150 years. It is one of the false teachings we were warned not to believe. It is an evil fairy tale and gross twisting of scripture. I think it is one of satans greatest masterpieces of deception.
---Rebecca_S on 6/23/06

The problem with this rapture doctrine is that people have replaced the Cross with it for salvation looking to this rather than faith in the works of Jesus, It does not matter whether you believe in the rapture or not if you are under the blood, if there is a rapture you would go because your saved already. We are commanded to look for Jesus to come, to watch and pray do you do that, the early church did on a regular basis.
---exzucuh on 6/23/06

The whole of the church will be raptured or resurrected by the middle of the tribulation. They just won't all go at the same time, they will go in their order, sun glory, moon glory or star glory. There are ranks in the resurrection. The Bride of Christ being the top rank and going first, before the tribualtion begins.
---Debbie on 6/23/06

#2 1Co 15:41-44 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
---Debbie on 6/23/06

#1 1Cor. 15:21-23 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
---Debbie on 6/23/06

I Thess 4:17 does NOT say that Jesus does a U-turn in mid-air.

"Descend" means to go from up to down.

WE are the ones who do a u-turn in mid-air, escorting the Lord as He returns to earth and His feet touch the ground in Jerusalem, according to 1 Thess 4:17.
---Jack on 6/23/06

Ruben - For the last time, please read the entire verse ok .... will be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air... ok. You must read the whole verse at least, not just the first little bit which is what you are doing.
---Helen_5378 on 6/23/06

Helen, the only rapture is the second coming, not before. If there is a rapture like you said and you use 1 thess 4;17, why is there only the ones who are alive in him who remained(left behind) the only ones left?..Not rude just amazed at some of your statements.
---ruben on 6/23/06

Ruben - Excuse me but you are being very rude. Read the rest of the verse please before you pass judgment. "remain, SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS".

Helen-(we who are alive and REMAIN )What happen to everyone else, there is no one left, but only does who are alive and stay..Quit reading scriptures to your liking..Thanks
---ruben on 6/23/06

To answer Jack on the book and verse of the age of accountability it can be found in Luke 23:34. Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
---Shari on 6/23/06

Lynn - If there is no Rapture then what is God saying in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 ("Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.") I am going up in the air, don't know about you -- do you plan on staying here?
---Helen_5378 on 6/23/06

Don't worrie about who or how. There is no rapture. It is the great deception. When it doesn't happen there will be a great falling away. Get right with God, and prepare, Ps.91

What qualifies me for the rapture is the precious Blood of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and is so for all others who will be raptured... "The just shall live by faith" Galatians 3:11. I truly do believe that those who have never had an opportunity to hear would not have received Jesus anyway....all those who will receive Him, God will make the way. Children..Scripture is silent.
---Helen_5378 on 5/31/06

With all the CLEAR, UNDISPUTABLE bible passages there are describing what will happen when "the last trump sounds, and the dead in Christ will be raised first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air......" I am totally amazed at all the WRONG answers on this blog
---T.S. on 5/31/06

I belive that children who have no concept of God I belive will make it to heaven Im talking about little childred My parents did not go to church and so i had no teaching about God But at the age of about 14 the Lord started dealing with me The bible says many are called but few are chosen I belive this to mean He chooses every one .But only a few answer that call and compared to the many that will be lost it will seem like a few
---Betty on 5/31/06

Jack there is no chapter book or verse but there is a clue in Genesis.

Genesis 17:25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

Now by all rights Abraham was 90 and he was circumcised the same day so this may not mean a thing.

However the Jewish rite of passage for boys occurs at 13, but I can't prove the verse is related to this practice.

Tradition is no substitute for facts anyway.

what about the "christians" who know the church but not the foundation of the church.
would they be whenever.
---willow on 5/30/06

Will someone please give book, chapter, and verse where we find "age of accountability"?
---Jack on 5/30/06

The whole Bible is clear...and Jesus is clear. The only way to fly is to have faith in Jesus that He is God's son-we must confess Him before man. There are death bed conversions because God is compassionate. God is a just God. Children who are not to their age of accountability and who do not understand, they will fly. God gives every person the opportunity to know Himself. God knows each person's hair count. He knows their hearts. He can convince them. Jesus is the way
---amy on 5/30/06

This is my opinion. Just the born again body of Christ (both live and dead 1Thessalonians 4:13-17), which is the church will be taken up and meet Jesus in the sky. Those left behind would go through the tribulation. Some of them probably would not live long. I believe those who die that are small children and or very mentally retarted (people who can not make a choice), go to heaven at some point.

I know one thing, when I go, I'll not be flying around somewhere. the children whom never heard of God, is the parents fault. and the parents will be held accountable. I know of people whom believe in Buddism, their beliefs are somewhat different, but they believe in one God (God Almighty). If a person has never heard of Christ, the God looks at the heart of those people, and judges them by how they lived and what is in their heart.
---Rebecca_D on 5/30/06

mi ma, that's all for God to figure out. We are all responsible to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling." We need to worry if we're going and minister as the Holy Spirit leads us to. "One waters, one plants, but it's God who causes the growth." We tell the gospel to others, and the rest is up to them and God. We can't figure out who's going and who's not. We need to make sure we're going.
---Donna9759 on 5/30/06

You have just listed a whole bunch of problems with the man-made doctrine of a Rapture.
---Jack on 5/30/06

I believe "children without understanding" will be raptured when the Lord returns for His church. There will be NO adult, regardless of their religious background who will have an excuse, they have knowledge of God in their hearts and will stand in judgement based on that. They will suffer through the tribulation and then be judged by Christ Jesus Himself.
