Being Christian is a crime in the middle east and other countries! They hate Christ and those who promote the gospel!
They still exile, torture, kill Christians!

Islam is not the light.
Jesus is the way the truth the life and the light! The only Lord.

Just the fact that I openly confess Jesus with my mouth would be enough to land me in jail.

Can we really judge ourselves with this question? Or should we allow someone else to tell us? Of course I'd say YES, and WHY? Because "Christ is my life," I beam with Joy every day. I have the fruit of the Spirit developed in my life; love, peace, joy, kindness, but not patience and self-control, lol. I don't have those. Just being honest here. But I do beam with a Joy Unspeakable.

Sadly, from what a lot of Christians are saying in the posts, a huge number of Christians just would not go to jail. They look and sound just like the world so they would not even stand out enough to go to jail.

In Him I live and move and have my being. I would get life.

Mima, were you and your friend witnessing with "gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 1:3), or were you using the Name of Jesus as an excuse to make yourselves obnoxious?

Just yesterday evening my friend who does the same thing I do was escorted from the J.C. picnic by police officers, because someone complained that he was asking questions and talking about Jesus Christ!! It's been over a year since I was told to leave some property because I was witnessing. But yesterday a store owner came out and question me very closely as to what I was doing. As time passes freedoms will fly. Am I guilty? Check the police station they have many complaints about my witnessing.

In the days of the Roman Empire, being a Christian WAS a crime. Remember? In many places of the world it still is--or nearly so.

Before 300 or so, torture was use "not to make people admit their crime, but to deny it," as Tertullian the Terrible put it in 200's.

Cuff me now, guilty as charged!
Jesus is the ONLY Savior of the world. HE died for me, I would die for Him.

We'd be so guilty right now it wouldn't even feel right to deny it.

I say we because I walk as three. ok 3,3/4, I'm with it most of the time.

In our country today with all the issue of God in school and at sporting events and ten commandment plaques and many more seems like many are working towards that point already.
