Mackey~ It is not wise to compare people's IQ's. Be concerned about your "Spiritual IQ" prepared to meet God. When we get to heaven he will not ask what your IQ was, or about your house, car, money etc. Rather, He will be concerned if you lived faithfully to God and abided in Him. God bless
---Anne on 4/6/09

You know Andy, you are right.
As a young adult the IQ process gave me 2 scores as well. 96 and 160.

The man who gave me the test told me that I knew things that I shouldn't know, but didn't know things I should know.

To me that would call for 'average'.

Why didn't he just average out both of them and gave me one score?
Which is 128.
But, I guess that isn't how the IQ works.
---Natalie2 on 4/6/09

most IQ tests are bogus really, when i was a child i did two tests, one gave me 145 the other gave me 85 so to one paper i was extra gifted the other made me a total idiot who cannot tie his own shoes.the idea normally of IQ tests is that one needs to do qas many different during a longer period then add everything up and the average is the nearest to your real. then again an IQ test really says nothing, one friend who was in university and finnished CUM LAUDE. is a real pain to ytalk to and most often when life is concerned he really lacks something. another friend who was forced to go to adapted education, is always contacted by everyone in the neighbourhood since he's such a wise man.

I don't know, but hope its adequate to reach from my brain to my tongue. The Jesus quotient is more important and I'm looking for an eight.

Psalms 10:4, Proverbs 16:5, 18, Daniel 5:20, Romans 12:3, 1Corinthians 8:1, 2Timothy 3:1-5, James 4:6.
---Glenn on 4/5/09

I took a couple of tests as a young woman who dropped out of High School after 10th grade, and was told I'm very bright, whatever that meant. As a middleaged woman I took one, after I had taken some college classes and was told it was 160. As Senior Citizen I took a IQ Test online and IQ was 126. IQ tests are what you know so it seems I must have learned something for a while but later forgot it. What ever it is,its all I need to get by and thats what God said "He would supply all our needs-".

I am personally satisfied when I am perceived to be an ignorant and unlearned man like John and Peter.
Because being such, I do not try to think everything through.
I guess I can "lean not to mine own understanding" and "in all ways honour him" easier than if I had a high IQ to rationalize everything and try to figure it out. A friend once told me (crying) he could never believe because his education caused him to figure everything out.
---Frank on 12/20/07

Hi Macky,

I am not sure what my IQ is. My oldest daughter was tested at over 135. My youngest daughter around 120.

I'm not that sharp, but I take comfort in the following scripture:

Mt 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Bless you brother,
---trey on 12/20/07

Well, bless you. Sometimes I do not feel like I have one! Even though God promised me one year into Salvation that He would make me highly intelligent.
---catherine on 12/20/07

Its not about our IQ. It is about who we are IN CHRIST. It is about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We must decrease, so HE can increase. God Bless!

The six year old might have a higher IQ than the 44 year old. Intelligence is not based on knowledge or age.
---Gena on 12/20/07

I'd rather hear the testimony of a 6 year old child than have to endure a false testimony of Jesus Christ, from a 44 year old with a high IQ.

18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

God is awesome, the Creator of the Universe.
Angels who dwell in the presence of God rejoice in awe and wonder at the Name of Jesus Christ. We should never lose that sense of wonder at the unveiling of the most glorious birth of Jesus Christ and God's love for us.
---lovable_linda on 12/12/07

All humankind "has sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God". We needed a kinsmen Redeemer who would not be under the dominion of death and sin.
So God brought forth His Son, born of Mary in Bethlehem, to redeem us from the wages of our sin.
God and Man, born out of love for us.
---lovable_linda on 12/12/07

He came in order to shed His blood, taking on the penalty of our sin at Calvary.
The Blood of Jesus, The Incarnate Lamb of God, has been shed for us.

This is the amazing Glory of God.

By the Spirit He rose.
Jesus came for all who believe on Him might be saved. He came for us and for our families.
He is God with us.
The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is Good News and tidings of great joy!.

For those filled to overflowing with pride and quite jealous of their IQ #, your badge of honor....

I can emphatically tell you, I'd rather do my own accounting, work side by side with a D.S. employee than a prideful coworker any day.
There would be hugs, kindness and smiles with the D.S. employee.

The highly IQ'd employee would still be rambling on about their personal exploits, patting themselves on the back as you would be trying to get away from them - going home for the day.
---lovable_linda on 12/12/07

I purposely chose this blog to write about my coworker that died.
I knew that it would attract and give all those out there dying to tell us about your intelligence, another opportunity to sound your own alarm.
I was also touched by the compliment from Trish - a woman that does not lie. I don't care what's going on in her life, she doesn't lie about it. She tells the truth and I find that to be a rare Christian quality on these blogs.
---lovable_linda on 12/12/07

Actually, I don't think God would keep a book, I mean his IQ is probably like... 150. I bet he just remembers it.

But then again, I don't have all the answers like you do, so I have to use critical thinking.
Haha, love you Linda, but you are ridiculous.

IQ doesn't matter for some things but it sure does for others. For example, Holy Ghost filled or not, I would never hire someone with down syndrome to be my accountant.

He went to an AA meeting everyday at lunchtime. At his funeral, everyone from his "meeting" was there, in addition to all of the friends that he had in town. It was standing room only.
The night of his passing as I was leaving out the door, he gave me pause and told me that he originally thought I was another phony Christian, but I wasn't after all.

I knew a relatively young man of 54 that died from a heart attack one night while sleeping.

We were having some meaningful dialogues in the workplace before he died.
One question he wanted to know was, "Why are Christians so phony?" "Why do they hide behind a phony facade and glitchy sayings?"
---lovable_linda on 12/10/07

1. IQ is merely one of several different ways to rate people on one criterion. It is no better or worse than others, because they all measure different things.

One thing I HAVE found is that people who have high statistics in some ways (like high IQ, exceptional beauty, etc.) often become arrogant and conceited - they think they're special, because others think so. Because they often get their own way, they never need to develop people skills. They never need to learn how to be "nice".
---StrongAxe on 12/9/07

2. I have known people across the whole spectrum, and have often found that people with below-average IQs to be some of the kindest and most generous people, while others in highly intellectual professions (like doctors and lawyers) can often be greedy and arrogant.

It's a lot easier to be humble when you're not always looking down at everyone else.
---StrongAxe on 12/9/07

Madison, great response. IQ a number which represents an overall knowledge of the world and its enviroment stored within the mind of a human being.yet most higher IQUED people won,t believe.not to say that unbelief is more a thing of intelligent people denying God,or should I say rejecting .but to answer your question I took a test once for college entrance just about aced it in all areas college entrance I didn,t go already knew all the answers.

What value is a number? An IQ is a score given to a person on a certain day, under certain cirucmstances and is totally irrelavent to anyone except Mensa and the M.G. teachers in school.

More important would be, since God blessed you with a good brain, how are you using it to serve and glorify Him?
