The Rapture will happen soon because many of the signs are here!
Jesus Christ said the Generation to see Israel become a Nation and Jerusalem Re-captured would be the Generation to see his Return! [Luke 21:32]
Israel became a Nation on May 14, 1948!
Israel re-captured Jerusalem in the (6) day war of the 1960's!
Christs' prophecies began to unravel!

God works in 'sevens' as we learn through out the Bible!
According to the geneology given in the bible, from Adam&Eve to Now - 6007 years have passed! [2 Peter 3:8] "To the Lord a day is as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day!"
This means that 6 days in the sight of God have gone by! We are now entering day 7- which should be the 1,000 year reign of Christ mentioned in [Revelation 19&20]

Thanks to advancements in science since the 1900's began, television, satellite's and radios are now helping spread the Gospel through out the World!
Jesus Christ made it clear [Matthew 24:14] "And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then THE END WILL COME!"

Rejoice, our Lord is Coming! [Rev. 22:12&13]

It will come like a thief in the night. We will not be expecting it so noone can know.

Jack, There is a pre-trib rapture.

After that, the rapture 7 yrs tribulation. After tribulation Christ will return and remove the tares and burn them and set up his kingdom on earth with the rightious that lived through the tribulation.

Who are the armies In Rev. 19:14 If not the raptured and resurected saints? When the saints are resurected, we are raptured. 1Thes 4:17

I'm not sure it will happen during my lifetime because my days may be another 40 years or another 40 minutes. However, I do believe that all the signs that Jesus said to watch for are HERE! He said, "When you see all these things begin to happen, look up for your redemption draweth nigh." He also likened the 'end times' to a woman giving birth. We (mankind) are definitely IN LABOR!

Myste - Do you believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that nobody goes to the Father except through Him (Jesus)? Do you believe that Jesus Christ came into this world to become a Man and that He died on the Cross for your sins?
---Helen_5378 on 6/30/06

TO Myste: would it be fair for me to say that you believe that my actions here on earth will determine where I spend eternity? Another words that you believe in lifestyle salvation and/or behavior salvation?

Hello Mary5544 - "Bottom line, if you died right now, are you going to heaven?" Father's Word can answer that question since II Corinthians 5:8 says, "We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." The question would more likely be, once death of the flesh sends your soul back to Father God in Heaven, by your actions on this earth, will you be in the presence of Father, praising Him, or on the other side of the gulf wishing?
---Myste on 6/13/06

Hello Mary5544 - You are correct;the rapture is not Biblical and the teaching of it definitely is not pleasing to Father God since Ezekiel 13:20 says, "Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly."

Part 3. during the events of the 5Th and 6th trumps) and begins our reign on earth with Him for the millennium. (Rev 5:10) As far as where we go when we die: See my post under the blog heading "Where Do We Go At Death". Lauren I hope this will serve to clarify things for you. I don't know if you are catholic, if you are I mean no offense by this statement and if you can prove me wrong please do, I am always open to truth. "There no such thing as a purgatory of any kind".
---josef on 6/13/06

Part 2 of 3 This is documented in the line of that verse that reads "and so shall we ever (defined always, evermore, 3842 strong's}, be with the Lord." Do not be thrown by the word clouds, this refers to the vast number of angels that will accompany Jesus during His return. Documented in (2 Thes. 1:7,10) The word was used in the same manner in (Heb. 12:1) when referring to the witnesses of the faith. This happens post tribulation,(which has already occurred Cont.

Part 1. Hello Lauren: To answer your first question. (1 Thes. 4:16,17) The only rapture of the church is the exceeding joy of The Lords return, this will occur at the 7th trump, called the trump of God. The words caught up in verse 17 refers to being preferred and taken, or plucked out of our earthly bodies and placed within our eternal bodies, then along with the risen dead(in Christ)who were also clothed with their eternal bodies we will meet (encounter) the Lord in the air (breath) or our true essence.

im a relatively new Christian and have found this aspect hard to determine. For a while i believed the Rapture, then i didnt,i dont know?friends also find it hard to explain what happens when we die.RC's believe in purgatory which right now makes sense(apart from prayer bit)do we go to heaven and then at the end come back out to be judged again?surely that doesnt make sense, not everyone would be judged at the same time and many would know.maybe i wasnt very clear but itd be great to get some feedback!

There is no pre-trib rapture.

Read the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13 and Christ's own interpretation of His words.

Does he say that the good wheat gets gathered a week (or 1007) days before harvest time?

In fact, what gets gathered first?

In the parable of the dragnet, what goes sailing through the air--the good fish or the bad fish?
---Jack on 6/10/06

According to the parable of the fig tree, the shoot was set out when the nation of Israel was again established in their/its original local. Which based on my limited understanding was between 1948 and 1951. Given that Christ said that this generation would not past before He returned. A generation, again by my limit understanding is any where between 70 and 100 years. Which means we are looking at 2048 - 51. I fully expect to live out my alloted 120 years in excellent heath so I will be here.
---josef on 6/9/06

I sure hope that I get raptured -- much better than the thought of dying. However, none of us know exactly when the rapture will take place. With the Lord one day is as a thousand years. We are definitely right in the end times, but how to long to go? Only the Father knows that.
---Helen_5378 on 6/9/06

also, I don't think the end times are so easy to determine. Don't you think that Satan knows what everyone is looking for and might attempt to put into place "signs" of the end times to distract us from the real return of Jesus? I donno, I think we have been in the end times since Jesus went back to Heaven.

Don't you think we should be focusing more on where we are today with God instead of rapture and tribulation and what is going to happen to whom. I personally don't believe there will be a pre-trib rapture, but that is a whole different conversation. Bottom line, if you died right now, are you going to heaven?
