Sadly, yes they can beat you up.... but only if you let them. Scripture and faith will make them flee.
they generally try to find weaknesses, and distort your desires even if they are good desires. They cause doubt anger , strife and paranoia... but I assure you can make thme flee in the name of christ

My reply to this blog will be too lengthy as I know a great deal about the world of darkness. Demons have an assignment to kill you and they will unless cast out. Cancer is a demon and must be cursed at the roots, else it will just progress and you are a hacked up corpse.Yes, they can physically and emotionally torment you. Fight back with the Armor and the Sword of the Spirit.

Because the wicked are not cast into the fire yet, instead they are currently growing side-by-side with us the righteous, therefore the kingdom of heaven suffers violence. But very soon the damned will be separated from the born-again.
---Eloy on 6/2/08

Que sera, sera: In spanish this means, what will be, will be. God's will will be done no matter what. Evil ones will do violence to the Kingdom, but God will always turn it around for good.

The 10 curses were to the ungodly Egyptians, and did not touch God's people. "For the eyes of YHWH over the righteous, and his ears to their prayers: but the face of YHWH against them that do evil. The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust onto the day of Judgment to be punished." I Peter 3:12+ II Peter 2:9.

We are at war- good against evil. Some are on the front lines, and some on the back. You will know where your faith is when tried by fire. "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." II Tm.3:12. I believe that the closer you are to Christ and the more you let your light shine, then the more you will be dissed by the enemy and the more you will suffer persecution. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but YHWH saves him out of them all." Ps.34:19.
---Eloy on 6/2/08

part 1 of 2: "Blessed they that suffer persecution for righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed be you all when which maligning you, and will persecute and say all evil word against you, lying falsely, on account of me. Rejoice and raise high, that the bonus plenteous yours in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets, them before you." Matthew 5:10-12.
---Eloy on 6/2/08

pt 2: "The disciple is not above the Master, nor the servant above his Lord. Enough the disciple that he be as his Master, and the servant as his Lord. If they called the Lord of the house beelzebub, how much more them of his household? Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you, if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also." Matthew 10:24,25+ John 15:20.

"Unsalted"? Were you talking about peanuts?
---lisa on 6/2/08

I see it like this, when the first man and woman sinned along with the serpent (which is Satan), God threw all three out of the garden into the earth, "to duke it out" so to speak, and the people who choose the Lord instead of continuing allegiance with Satan, and who endures up to the end will be restored back up to heaven. In the meantime count it as conditioning and tempering in the furnace of affliction, and i kid you not, we are each one at a very real war even to the death.

There is some validity to the statement that demons can beat us. The demon spirit may use an individual or as in the case of Paul a spirit may actually buffet a person. Then there's the strange story Pastor Lester told about the woman in the Philippines who was not only being scratched and beat up but also sexually unsalted By demons. I have no knowledge as to how this could happen.
---mima on 6/2/08

The blood of Jesus also protects us from emotional and physical invasion. demone DO NOT have the right to invade your physical body or soul... or spirit, as a child of God. I'm not saying that if they have done so in the past, it is because you weren't a child of God. They didn't have the right, but ignorance kept you bound. Yes, sir!
---OK on 7/18/07

I have experience in that area
---John_T on 7/18/07

Demons have the power to invade your body & soul, but not your spirit - that is God's. Demons can attack you physically (body), emotionally, and mentally, but NOT spiritually. Read "Larson's Book Of Spiritual Warfare" by Bob Larson to understand more.
---Leslie on 12/31/06

remember one thing about demons, they can only attack the body. Since the body is not yet redeemed. However your spirit has been rebirth and God's Spirit lives inyou. Demons can never get to the real you. But they try to control the soul,(your mind) which is by emotions, intellect and will. The name of JEsus has all authority. Never forget that. Most people have at least 100 demons. But if could be flesh u have problems with. How do u know, we are commanded to overcome the flesh, and cast out demons.

If you call out the name of Jesus repeatedly and they do not leave you, then you need to have a few faithful/strong Christian members pray / Fast them out and they have to leave, No Sweat!

Donna2277. Sorry for the delay. Anyway Elaine was new christian. She just got deliever of many demons. See she made a pact with the devil(to be with him forever). The devil was very Angry that Rebeccca took those demons out and she was helping her to come to the lord. The devil was also angry at Elain. The book exposes how satanism works in our society.

Im guessing that God allow it to teach them something. Throughout the book you will see this. You understand better if you read the book.

Only if you let them. The only power they have is what we give them. If you give a little, they take alot. why do you think people commit suicide? Sick, yes by demons.
---Rebecca_D on 6/20/06

brother Job tells us so. The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take us by force. But it is foolishness to come against God's kids, for when God Almighty is for us, then who can be against us. The demons are foolish and self-destructive because they fail to realize the universal rule of, "What goes around, comes around; what you give, is what you get; and what you sow, you will surely reap." If one puts out evil and violence, then the selfsame will suffer evil and violence.
---Eloy on 6/19/06

Ramon--God is so much stronger than Satan or any number of demons. Why do you suppose these poor women had to go through repeated "beatings". Did they not understand the extent of God's power?
Were they BOTH new Christians?

In a book I read called He Came to Set the Captives by Rebecca Brown, Elaine served her master, Satan, with total commitment. Then she met Dr.Rebecca Brown who was a Christian. She was one of the top witches in the US.After she gave her life to the Lord both the devil and demons beat her up on many occasions. Both her and Rebecca experience brutual beating. Demons were rapping them too. Both of them experience a fight like no tomorrow but with the Help of Jesus Christ they overcame the devil and his angels.

John T could you explain a bit further please

mima-- How does one get sexually "unsalted"?

Yes, I think they can mentally. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. But as In any other attack, Jesus is our shield and our "high tower". We can run to Him for safety.
---Donna2277 on 6/18/06

Yes, I believe that demons have the power to "beat us up" mentally and spiritually, if we give them the power to do this. In order for this to happen, we must open ourselves up and agree to being abused by him, recogize that this is going on, feel undeserving, whipped, unworthy, and believe the untrue lies that demon's would have us believe. I believe that this can happen from a low self-concept, caused from internal as well as external environments we have been a part of.
