Considering the world and our surroundings of today, we should pray everyday, all day. Every chance we get. In the morning, noon and night. WE should also pray for others. Our families, friends, neighbors, church, public officials and those in government positions(president etc..)We are lving in dangerous and treacherous times. God help us all.
I have peace of mind, first of all, from praying. Knowing our God is in control, regardless of what happens.
Knowing I meet with my Father on a daily basis through prayer and His Word strengthens me,comforts me and helps me to continue on my journey with Him.If I stumble and fall I can go to Him and ask forgiveness. I feel loved and accepted and know He will never forsake me or leave me alone.

We should pray about anything and everything. Jesus said, "And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered". (Matthew 10:30). And if God cares about the number of hairs on your head, then to me that means he cares about everything you care about, even the small things that are important to you. Love, friends, etc. Do not forget to pray, and pray always, your relationship with God will strengthen as you grow.

A man once told me, do not be afraid to ask, when the worst you can expect is "no" as an answer. And I believe we should not be afraid to pray and to ask, but learn to pray and learn how to bring God into more and more of our lives.

Christians should pray and read the Bible EVERYDAY. Prayer is talking to God like a best friend. Reading the Bible is God talking back to you, and seeing what His love letter to you and about you says. God is our best friend, and our lover (He desires intamacy with His people). You don't talk to your best friend or lover every week, every month, or every year - you talk to them everyday.

We should pray everyday. Noon and night. Especially in the morning and at night just before bed. Anytime is a good time.We should confess, repent everyday as well.

An old song says, "Prayer is the key to
heaven, and faith unlocks the door." That
is about as simple as it gets.
---Dr._Ricky_Gray on 9/30/08

Repeatedly praying the same prayer, over and over, and over with more faith in the repeating of the prayer,

than having complete faith in God..

God is not deaf. His memory and recall is perfect. He hears the first time. Repeatedly praying the same prayer does not make it happen.

Only if God wills, will it happen. He positions and plans circumstances. His thoughts and ways are higher.

I know people who pray the same prayer over and over for years without an answer.

The answer was No, but their own desires try to force God's Hand. They refuse to accept His No, so they continue repeating the same prayers.
---Cindy on 3/21/08

Procrastination on our part to pray, does not constitute an emergency on God's part to answer.

Example: An individual suddenly meets the person of their dreams to marry, but they will have to live together because their income or insurance benefits will be dropped if they marry.

They want God's immediate healing so they can marry. Or they decide to continue living together because the new person cannot afford to pay for their benefits.
---Cindy on 3/21/08

An immediate healing is needed to accommodate the potential marriage/financial dilemma.
The person was not overly concerned for maybe 20 years prior, but suddenly all circumstances must be perfect for this marriage to take place.

An emergency on God's part is now required, and they storm the heavenlies with the repeated prayer, over and over and over.
---Cindy on 3/21/08

The person plans to keep on living with potential marriage partner if the healing does not come, because the potential cannot afford their medical bills.

OK, what part of that seems right?
Why would God be required to answer that prayer immediately, when ten or twenty years prior, financial security was more important than a healing?
---Cindy on 3/21/08

Example: If the people have been living together for 20 years, will that healing ever come?
If they're not about to get married until the healing comes, I don't know why God would be obligated to answer that one.

Procrastination on our part to do the right thing, does not constitute an emergency on God's part to answer prayers that do not line up with His Word or will.

Have you ever been asked to be in agreement with someone who wants to live together but is demanding all of the benefits from God, too?

Spacejunk floats around in space. Junk prayers, I do not know where they go. Maybe God has a room for those, labeled "junk prayers" from prayer junkies that need an immediate fix for their procrastination to obey His will.
---Cindy on 3/21/08

Prayer junkies pray the same thing over and over, having more faith hearing themselves ask with little faith, not realising that Almighty God heard them the first time.

He may have said, No, the first time they asked. But they're too deep into self, selfish desires to know that No means No.

We should pray continually, prayer is a powerful tool for us as christians today, maybe the most powerful of all. I start my day with prayer and end my day with prayer, not to count all the prayers in-between during the day. I talk to the Lord just like He is right beside me. The benefits are Peace, walking in the spirit and not fulfilling the lust of the flesh, and many blessings from answered prayer. Amen!

Paul says we should pray without ceasing.

The benefits I have had in praying include peace of mind, growing closer to the Lord, unburdening my heart and leaving it at His feet. I have received strength to do what I am unable to do by myself, victory over alcohol and overeating.

King David said in Ps 119: "Seven times a day do I praise You," and again, "At midnight I rose to give thanks to You."

How's that for a standard?

A renewed mind
One day thinking only God thoughts are better then quadrillions of days spent on the lust of the flesh.

The more you learn the Bible and pray and see God move the more your faith increases, with your faith increase so widens the window through which you see spiritually and escape sin's corruption. A bit closer to the flame, still not consumed.

nûach (to rest H5117)

Pray without ceasing not so hard anymore.
---Pharisee on 6/20/06

It is written that we should pray without ceasing. This can only be done while walking in the Spirit. Prayer is not only asking for what we want or need, it is communicating with God, and listening to God.
---Christina on 6/19/06

Scripture says to pray without ceasing. I can pray any time anywhere... I pray walking down the street, on the Bus, in the shops, at home, in the shower,,, everywhere!
---Helen_5378 on 6/18/06

We are to pray without ceasing. In other words, be in an attitude of constantly fellowshipping with Father, talking with Him and listening for Him. This is an area I am desiring much growth in. Paul, as a pattern for us, prayed always and he sought God for what only heaven could do. I have found that the benefits of prayer range from being simply more aware of His presence to being more sensitive to His voice.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
---Rev_Herb on 6/18/06

1 Thessaloians 5:17 Pray without ceasing. When we pray all day long then our minds are stayed on Christ and our faith is being built up as we fellowship with God. Also many times the praying goes into praise which draws us even closer in the Spirit to God. Another benefit is that when our mind is full of the holy there is no place for the profane or sin. Being in the presence ,spiritually, of Christ brings a peace with it. All of that plus prayer can move mountains.

Pray without ceasing.

If your not praying aloud pray in the heart. If you cannot pray in the heart live your prayers out as you talk to people. Let Christ dwell in your thoughts all day.
